I find it very funny that out of all the gimmicks FNF mods have done absolutely none of them have come up with the idea of making one literal hand-to-hand combat.
Probably didn't help that the fandom has a general consensus that BF can just sing his way through life-threatening battles.

@@tonytchopper5213 Ayo?? WTF WHY YOU SO MAD!! What did I do I was only stating how a fnf mod did technically do that gimmick before. Which doesn't surprise me. I mean there are so many high quality fnf mods at this point that there is nothing the devs can do which has never been done before. All the fnf mods done every gimmick and quirk imaginable. Sure they don't have the story of the main game, but that is a plus of the main game. For instance eventhough animated cutscenes, the opponent throwing things at you/ using weapons on you in other ways in the midde of the song, and having the arrows in the middle of the screen have all already been done before in mods, that did not make the Weekend Update any less amazing or undervalued it. Frankly, I am curious to see what other gimmicks will be in the main game. For example, would damaging notes like with Vs Tricky or health drain like with Vs Tabi be implemented? I can't wait to see!

I slept on this game after Week 6 dropped and suddenly got the urge to replay it yesterday and realized I decided to play on the same day they release a new update after 3 YEARS? It's so good to be back! I hope you saw the game over screen in Weekend 1, it's so dope.

18:00 Basically, if you press R while in-game you will die but that’s mostly because it’s the RESET button. You can disable it in the settings if you go in Gameplay and scroll down until you see "Disable Reset Button". So you probably used the WASD keys and accidentally missed one and instead pressed R.
Do you know the difference between Erect Mode and Night Mode otherwise? I ask since I've been looking for an answer too :sob

@@trouslinabone You know how hard mode is fully charted whereas easy and normal mode are missing notes in some places?
It's basically like that, Erect Mode has the new songs but it is missing some notes, whereas Night mode has the new songs fully charted.
@@trouslinaboneErect mode is not fully charted in all songs, and in some songs they use more straightforward note patterns to make playing the charts easier. (Spookeez is a great example of this.) Nightmare mode is the true hardest difficulty.

Ryan I really hope you play the rest of the update, not because I particularly enjoy seeing Friday night funkin gameplay, but just because you seemed so happy while playing it, and I love that for you. “Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life and all that jazz.”
I love the tons of little details, like the head attached to the speakers looking at whoever is singing and such.
NIGHT (NIGHTMARE) is basically Erect Hard Mode. You're better off playing NIGHT difficulty if you want the full challenge (and I think it also changes the vocals a bit? I'll have to double-check.)
No the songs stay the same the chart is just tougher
The only one that changes a lot is the roses song on nightmare cause the chart becomes more accurate to the music in my opinion

A decent taste of an update before the Full Game, just know, don't leave Mario's Madness in the dust like that Ryan, you still have to finish it, some people here know it. Out of the other mods, you came back to the game to play it. After all, you named it being "good you had to come back to the game".

It's a great Mod don't get me wrong, But it's Songs are not catchy enough to "Want" to continue playing it, The OG Fnf Game got as popular as it did because of it's God-like Music, Not JUST the silly Animations and Characters lol.
In the end no Mod will ever be as amazing as OG Fnf when it comes to pure "Enjoyable" Music, There's not a single Song that feels lackluster in it man xD

For those who don't have any knowledge on the story of Pico:
After he graduated 6 years after the school shooting where he used to go to school, Pico became the field man and gun slinger of a band of mercenaries, along with two of his classmates. Nene, the suicidal girl turned aggressive assassin, and Darnell, Pico's best friend and the demolition expert (Plus pyromaniac!). Daddy Dearest hired them to eliminate Boyfriend, but the reason why Pico didn't kill him was because they actually used to date before Boyfriend started dating Girlfriend. So Pico rap battles BF out of pure nostalgia and lets him go. But ummm- I think the update tells what happened after those events.

And judging by the few missing Erect Remixes in the Update, As well as there being no "Technical" Week 8, We can safely say they will be Updating it semi-often from here on out, I hope it's actually Weekly though, Like 1 new Update per Friday or something xD

I've been waiting patiently for Ryan to finish Mario's Madness. Since a new FNF just drop I got to see what it is and it's hype!
Believe me, the skill never leaves. I spent 3 whole months not playing fnf cause my laptop broke, and then I got a desktop pc, and after three months, I was still almost as good as u. Just an FYI. I'm so happy for an excuse to finally play the og and not fangames.

Ryan you should definetely play the Silly Billy mod. I just know you would be SO blown away by it. Its just AMAZING, especially with the fact it has a slightly, but not really, hidden memorial to a creator that passed dude to cancer.
So glad about the new update, despite onky four new songs, it feels like a totally different experience.
As for nightmare difficulty (not calling it nightmare mode cause indie cross got there first lmao) I'm pretty sure it drastically increases the damage you take, not sure if it does anything else.
Makes the chart harder and more in sync also yea you do take more dmg than normal and regen health way less
