    So I know some people are upset that this is a titled a beginners guide but has EOF at 280m in there. Hear me out on my reasonings.I usually do these videos
    to help beginners make the right choices when upgrading their gear. It's not about getting cheap upgrades, it's about if you save up 300m as a beginner and are looking to upgrade that you buy something like the EOF and not T92 Tectonic. I understand seeing the EOF on a beginners guide at 280m might seem expensive, but it's an item that absolutely everyone even beginners should have if they can afford because it will be used almost everywhere and be best in slot almost everywhere. I also included much cheaper upgrades and the cheapest budget specs for the EOF specifically. Like I said before these videos aren't "The cheapest upgrades guide" it's aimed to give information to give beginners looking to get into high level PVM goals to strive for and help make the right choices and not the wrong ones. I have another video just like this that you can check out as well if you are on the hunt for different upgrades, thanks for all the feedback though everyone and I'll for sure take it into consideration when titling other videos.

      How did it work out?
      I got into GW2 a couple years ago and was very nooby at bossing. Long story short, I now can prayer flick without thinking about it, I can flick SS, I can Res with reliable repeatability. I can time auto attacks on bosses, I can cast Thresh and Ults with keybinds and I can pray, eat, pot up, cast EoF Spec, and use Freedom and swap shield and off-hand with keybinds! I highly recommend using the F key as a “Home Base” for the index finger and slowly build on the rows starting with the row the F key is in and then the row the R key is and then the row the V key is in, then finally the row the 4 key is in. Finally, I started using the 5 buttons on my mouse as a keybind (That’s 3 on the side for the thumb and 2 at the rear of the mousewheel that are originally meant to be adjustment buttons for the speed of the mouse cursor). I use those two for surge and escape since one is marked with arrow for Up and one for Down.

    Hey fellas, I was a nub once. I still am, and always will be, but now I am less of a nub. Yes, onslaught is good at blood phase nex. However, now with eof dark bow spec along with an easy death swiftness, I never ever use onslaught ever. The only ultimate abilities you should use in 98.9% of solo pvm are the damage boosting ones like zerk/sunshine type abilities. Onslaught is okay to have in your arsenal and it can be somewhat cool, however the 1% of pvm that it covers is not worth 50m nor do I ever find it worth 100% of my adrenaline AND most of my health. If you want to do nex but don’t want to drop 300m on an eof+upkeep costs, onslaught can be worth your while.
    BUT, if you already have a souls ammy+reaper ammy, the 140m cost of an alchemical hydrix may very well be more worth your while as opposed to the mere 50m spent on onslaught. This amulet, albeit having a high upkeep cost, is incredibly powerful and is worth the repair cost in anything arraxor difficulty+ where it pays off to use from getting an extra 1or 2 kills an hour.
    The darkbow eof is the nubs Erethdors Grimoire, and can take you a very long way.
    Validity: 500+ solo Raksha kc

I also reccommend quests to unlock Holy Wretch, Zaros Shard and World Gate. My last upgrade was a Ring of Fortune / Luck of The Dwarves. An extra 1% - 2% luck when fighting bosses aint so vital because if you bossing you should be camping a boss for multiple hours anyways. Not just for 30 mins and bail out.

You are better off going with other things before t92s except 3 of them and they are: the zaros godsword, the trimmed masterwork spear, and eldrich crossbow. If you can afford to get any of those weapons go for it. They increase dps so much that they are worth it. Otherwise t90s are great until you have everything else in the game.

    • @SlowedSonics
      @SlowedSonics Před rokem

      I know it’s been a year, but I’ll just mention for anyone reading now that might not happen to know that in terms of Dual Wield Magic weaponry, you should begin working on Player Owned Ports today to get T88 Weapons as soon as possible. They are cheap compared to the next best option that is Seismic Wand and Orb, which have consistently held a price tag of nearly 1.5B for the set for years at this point. With this in mind, it’s important to realize T88’s are nearly free in comparison and that the DPS increase is marginal and negligible when considering the price difference.
      If I may ramble a bit… It’s important to realize that the new meta is wonderful, especially if you’re a new player and a whale, but if you’re not then it’s important to realize T88 is nearly top tier in DMG when it comes to Dual Wield Magic weaponry. The goal of PVM is to obtain reasonable enough gear to begin successfully entering arenas with enough damage and armor potential to survive the fight long enough to do the damage before you die, and deal enough damage before your armour, food and potions aren’t enough to keep you alive.
      As a final not, you need to realize T85s are more than enough to get kills at all bosses, at least all bosses that do not have an enrage mechanic or at the ones that do but with low enrage. That’s just the 85s, the 88s are better and the T92s are even better than those, but not by much. T88s are only 76 Damage higher than the T85s and the T92s are only 20 Damage higher than the 88s! That’s 10% increase between 85 and 88 and only 2% between 88 and 90!

    • @SlowedSonics
      @SlowedSonics Před rokem

      Final, Final note… the cost of the 88s is about 11M each at the moment, the cost of the 85s is about 36M at the moment, and the cost of the 90 set is about 1,265M ATM.

    Awesome video, BUT arguably if youre going to farm Elite dungeons, maybe going for etec and tmw wouldnt be a terrible idea! Would not degrade and youre more tanky and have slightly more DPS, but yeah T90 is awesome for the price rn
    and youre so right, from what ive seen the upgrade path to buy typically is; T80 weps armour > abilities like greater barge, grico, greater flurry ect> T90 weapons > T90 Armour> T92 weps > auxiliary weps like tmw spear > bis perks > T99 curse > T92 armour/other secondary abilities like greater fury or like reprisal ect

About the t92 Armours is so convenient to buy and use a sirenic armour over a elite sirenic armour, since one is cheaper than the other and also replace a regular sirenic is cheaper than repair the elite one for over 80m, however the tectonic being cheaper to buy than the elite version will be about 4 times more expensive to replace than repairing an elite tectonic for about 40M or using a Superior zuriels Armour.

    Okay, uhm... but what about armor upgrades in general? i use t70 armor, and hear people all the time say "dont upgrade armor, upgrade weapons first", but then you see a friend/dovy take that comments to the trash by showing, that also armor values matter to take less damage, because being alive and killing slower is better then getting killed and not killing at all (when he got elder rune and was suddenly able to do shit much longer, and stuff). should i upgrade from my t70 stuff? or not? cause i get smacked with shit a lot as im not very good at bossing...

    • @NuzzNuzz
      @NuzzNuzz  Před 3 lety

      I would say both, weapons matter more in terms of DPS, but it also depends on your stats. Things like curses and soulsplit, overloads, Beast of Burdens, and stuff like that. But if you have those core untradeables, I would say weapon first (T70 -> T80/85) then you can do armour from like (T70 - > T80) This guide is more different upgrades for people that already have like t80/90s and are looking for the next step. Once you get to t80/90 gear you can move on to adding things like the EOF, fleeting boots etc to your gear.

      I don't think beginner means dirt poor, I know lots of beginners at PVM that have bigger banks than me which is kind of the concept of this video. I understand not all of these are cheap but these are meant to help beginners transition into higher level PVM as stated in the video and give goals to strive for. I have 3 other videos like this with cheaper upgrades, which is also why I included the cheap boots and such. And a lot of people have souls and reapers amulet which means they could upgrade themselves and use the budget specs mentioned. See my pinned comment for a better explanation.

It's why I also include much cheaper options if you watch my other videos on this topic but I had to include an expensive item as it's a core DPS item that all beginners should strive to get.
