To be fair, the turtle getting ignored by the people outside Radio City Music Hall is totally accurate for New York City.
True they see millions of people in mascot outfits on a daily basis advertising or willing to hussle by taking photos with you.
Looking up from the sidewalk you wouldn't see anything but the underside of the platform they are standing on. Across the street where you could actually see the TMNT there was a police barricade and hundreds of ppl watching

Donatello's actor hurt himself when he walked offstage. You can tell because he grabbed his back out of reflex. Probably pulled a muscle or something.
You know this for a fact? Could of easily been part of the show. I can grab my lower back without it having to be a pain reflex. Just sayin.
@@mr.sinister2029 Wearing movement restricting costumes and dancing around is bound to cause a few injuries. Plus, I've seen the full show; Donatello never left the stage without the others. This was clearly an accident.
@@MilkScrew Thought the same thing. I also noticed when Michaelangelo's actor jumped off the steps he lost his balance. They say that the shells were so demanding and restrictive for the performers. This is why they ended up ditching them in the actual tour.

I went to one of these "concert" when I was five and my brother and I still laugh over how silly this was.
I went to one too. I remember thinking how awesome it was and that no other concert could ever be better.

I'm a bass player and I can't play a walking bass line with just one string! I mean, there's the washtub basses, but those are for simple bluegrass and country, not rock.
Hey, it *could* work for simple bass lines. Obviously you're not playing "John the Fisherman" on it, but it could work for _some_ Ramones songs. Besides that, the band Morphine started out with a 1 string bass; they switched to a 2 string. The difference here is, they played it with a slide (rare,) so it's not a typical approach to a Bass Guitar. Oh, and their bassist Mark Sandman influenced Chris Ballew from The Presidents to also play a 2 String Bass.
Tl, dr; it can work for simple bass lines, but you won't play "John the Fisherman" or "Jerry Was A Racecar Driver" on it.
Ever watch Glenn Fricker’s Spectre Sound Studios? He simply thinks the bass player is a useless c*nt. I can only imagine what he’d be like seeing a one string bass.

Luckily, I met Raphael (Rob Paulsen) who (bless his heart) is the sweetest man ever! He's kind, nice and very caring. He did mainly Yacko, Such a amazing person
Rob Paulsen went on to voice Donatello in the 2012 cartoon which is a strange but nice touch that he was still involved, even if he's playing the different turtle.

Technology is improving and that's great but I love these older Nerd and Critic videos for their lo-fi quality. Many people use filters and whatnot to achieve an old-school look but this is the real thing

7:27 Actually, playing the bass with only one string is possible, only you just have limited range of notes to play with and it will be a pain in the ass to move your hand all over.

You do however have all the required notes. If you're playing anything in a basic chord structure, it would be fine. However, riffs could be a bit of a challenge.
I'm a bass player who plays rock and country and I can't play walking bass lines on one string especially if the song changes keys. That would take years to master!

Yeah pretty much 7 years ago this review came out. It's funny to think CZcams wasn't even a new thing at the time! And TGWTG was relatively new, while Cinemassacre wasn't new by any means. Makes me feel old, too.
