How lucky you are to be growing roses in such temperate climate. In zone 4-5 Ontario, we have no choice but to hard prune tender varieties nearly to the ground because of winter kill. There are varieties that are fully cane hardy but most of these are non-recurrent.

Wow good video. I just bought several roses that had spent blooms so I am assuming they will not flower again being so close to fall. But from witching this video I think I just made a big mistake. My roses had brown spot on them so I treated them with a triple fungicide, insecticide and miticide thinking my roses were disease infested. After watching this video I'm thinking they were probably just going dormant... I also fertilized them 😯 I don't know if they will survive this first winter... What do suggest I do for them?

Hi. I just bought a tree rose and I’m trying to find out if I wrap the whole tree for winter. Most sites say just wrap the truck, use 12” of mulch and put a stake in the ground to hold it. Should I cover the top?

What zone are you in? I am
In Utah 7a, and bought quite a few tree roses. I am wondering if I need to insulate them over winter.
