    Great idea for "quick" body reinforcement...but, as you said at the beginning, the 'standard' method is best. Personally, I use drywall tape...and, as for the E6000, Shoe Goo also works extremely well.
    A 'bonus tip' is like to add is reinforcing areas where tires rub against the body. To prevent tires from rubbing through the protected layer (ie. drywall tape & Shoe Goo), as well as through the paint on the body, I add aluminum HVAC duct tape....but, ONLY to areas where the tires will rub. The first body I applied this to - a custom-painted Baja Rey, done 2yrs ago - still has the same aluminum duct tape, drywall tape, and Shoe Goo.

      I used to do shoe goo and drywall tape but that cement board tape that I have in my other video works so much better. It's far stickier and more flexible than regular drywall tape. It really is a game changer.
      E6000 and shoe goo are pretty much identical and how they function but e6000 in a caulk tube is way cheaper and a lot easier to dispense.

      Yeah these kinds of things definitely make the body heavier but I've just torn up too many bodies to not fully reinforce them anymore. It just makes them last so much longer

    Can you add a video for the Hoss/Maxx body with the body mounting system?

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Probably wouldn't be worthwhile doing a separate video for it but it's basically the same process. Once the adhesive cures you just cut out the holes for the cage and whatnot and then bolt it back together. I usually like to do it when the adhesive is not quite 100% hard so that you can kind of squish it with the cage as you put it back together.

    • @krazykrishi47
      @krazykrishi47 Před 8 měsíci +1

      It’s very difficult and hard to get in spots for the body

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Před 8 měsíci

      @krazykrishi Yeah they can be challenging. I'd recommend cutting the tape into thinner strips, using a bit of hot glue in the corners and then using a gift card to spread out the adhesive. Also keep in mind it really doesn't have to be perfect. As long as you do a halfway decent job it'll make it a lot stronger.

    If i add superglue between the tape and body will it be even stronger?

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Před 8 měsíci +1

      It's possible but I don't think so. The adhesive on the gorilla tape is already very strong and super glue isn't very flexible. I also not sure how the two types of adhesives would interact. Finally the super glue might damage the painted surface.
