A well-outfitted Vulture is probably the best combat ship overall. Nice informative video.

It's good to have you doing ED Video's again.
My build is essentially the same, except I switch the Interdictor and Cell bank for hull packages, only use one chaff, A-rate thrusters and use two A shield boosters. With A thrusters you don't need cell banks or multiple chaff; you shouldn't be getting hit unless you take on a wing (Which is what the chaff is for). The huge shields of the Vulture plus two boosters let it take a lot of hits. And boosters last until they're destroyed, while cell banks need restocking.
would love to see more videos like this man, really helps alot when you know what works but cant make up your mind XD got my self a clipper finally a few days ago and nothing i put on it seems as fun as the ASP:EX to fight with so thinking of going back to that for now however i was getting bored of that loadout, so maybe il try this out :)
my go to build is a plasma accel. and pulse laser, with the high maneuverability, and good piloting skills you can easily stay out of the firing range of NPC ships. Take the shields down with the plasma and then kill the powerplant with the laser.
One of the builds I found to be really fun was was a beam laser and fragment cannon. Just something about the fragment cannons was really fun, just hated that low ammo count. I never took shield cell bank to save on power and never really needed to use them. I did the plasma accelerator for a while, but got sick of dealing with the capacitor not having enough charge to fire it. Switched to a cannon, got sick of having to leave the haz res sites to restock. That ship is just so good. So tempted to rebuy it again.
I run triple chaff on my Vulture, with a KWS, class 5 biweave, a class 1 interdictor, and everything else HRPs, plus the twin pulse weapons load....and I have yet to lose the ship. Conflict zones, RES points, assassin missions, my Vulture just dosn't care. The massed HRPs REALLY make a difference when the biweaves drop too...I don't worry about my hull until something with large hardpoints starts shooting at me, and those ships I'm maneuverable enough to keep away from their firing arcs with the A5 thrusters. I must say that its freeing not having to worry about cooking myself with an SCB burst, or having to think "ok, is it time to use the SCB, am I too late, is it too early, etc" while In heavy combat...I just dive in and go to town on whatever is annoying me, and don't worry about my shields or hull until I start getting towards about 50%.
So even after Horizons I just got this and it's still one of the best fighters. Best way to spend all my credits so far no regrets.
Just a question,would you put a plasma accelerator on a anaconda over a class 4 cannon?i rarely ever get to use that hardpoint
I like to run a burst laser and a cannon on my vulture.
gives me the best of both worlds when it comes to taking out both shields and hull
I personally think that they need a "Core Dynamics Huricane", wich should be the federation starter ship, equiped with three medium, one large and two small hardpoints, looking like a micro baby of an Adder an a Vulture that has become Adder size... That would be awesome!
Ohh, and why not build this with two class 3 Burst lasers...

i have always wanted to see Large multi cannons added into the game, it always seemed odd that they were not in the game to start with but i can see the Vulture becoming even better then ever. Something i would like to see in ED would be a internal that add more ammo for Your slug throwers. You could have it so at class 1 it would add 2 more reloads to Your total ammo so from 2190 up to 2370 when fully loaded, then a class 2 would go up to 4 more reloads so on and so forth. because i always fond that when using weapon that need ammo when i get into the really stuck into RES hunting i run out of ammo and then is forced to leave, and yes i know You can make ammo on the fly if You have the right materials but it just doesn't seem worth the time to me..
Could you add a shield booster instead of a chaff launcher
Just out of curiosity, did you ever play any of the Battletech games?
I was going to try Multi-cannons on this ship, my favorite gun in ED currently, but discovered there are no large multi-cannons. So on to beam lasers then and my usual, wait until my bounty isn't pointed at me then hit their power plant, routine. :)
+Patrick Wise patch 2.1 will get you your large and huge multi-cannons
Same I was disappointed that they don't multi cannons yet for large hardpoints. My alternative right now is plasma accel. to take out shields and then pulse laser to larger the power plant. Works like a charm, the high maneuverability Of the vulture Allows me to stay on target and stay out of the line of sight of the enemies weapons

Yes, you can run it and you can(with some help) kill an unarmored Corvette.
sounds like it would need like a A5 or 6 power plant
I ran a gimballed pulse and gimballed beam on my Vulture.
Does the CHAFF launcher work against enemy NPCs weapons/scans/whatever??? Or is it still bugged? I haven't used chaff for a very long time because of the dang bug.
Not really sure.. I don't trust it against scans but I'm pretty sure it works against weapons
