- You were designed for answers to prayer, but what do you do when you don’t see your prayers answered in the way you hoped for? Bill Johnson teaches from John 14-16, and Jesus’ words “Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”; answered prayer and joy are connected. Bill shares examples from the disciples time with Jesus, and how they drew near to Him when they did not see a miracle happen that they were contending for. Being made in God's image means to me there is nothing about God that I can't relate to and express admiration for - and where God is infinite, it is not in the extent or complexity of his design - but the depth of his character / heart. His fullness fits inside a human.

I don’t think we should except a prayer to be answered very fast like next day or the next week, I remember your message that sometimes once our prayer has been answered we patiently wait like it says on Psalm 27:14
Often times the enemy wants to distract believers that you’re prayer has not be answered so we start complain like he did to the Israelites so they get angry with God and Moses; all along God want them was to Trust him.

You can purge and purify your prayers by challenging them through Galatians 5:22-23 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. This challenge of pouring all your thoughts, words, expectations and emotions through the siv of these 9 words that describe the Holy Spirit in us helps to burn off any negative or worldly expectation and brings us into the throne room more quickly. I always feel better when I burn off the dross and get into the presence.

This GH15 post today encouraged me so much and I wrote in the comments and feel since this message followed and further confirmed God’s word to me I’ll share here also:
I’ve been suffering from a spinal injury which I’m slowly recovering from but from which I’ve experienced much more than physical pain. Prayer has helped but pain often returns with a vengeance. The emotional rollercoaster has caused some deep searching why’s, a battle for the mind of Christ to resist the enemy’s accusations and surrender to the process in trust of Fathers love. As an intercessor this message has shed light and hope into my bones. I’ve wondered if I’m not experiencing this need spinal alignment for repentance, healing and deliverance for my family and nations divine alignment.
Please pray with me and decree for the divine alignment i need, we need globally. This revival was birthed in my heart close to 40 yrs ago and I’ve been interceding and believing for such a time as this.

love the point about a lifestyle of prayer & fasting... Luke 5:16 says "But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer.." as I believe you said last week - time with God is the key to power.

How do we know that our prayer has been answered? We know that when God answer our prayer there is peace with in; like David said I know you spoke because you spoke peace then we have to ask on strategies and instructions
Some reasons for Unanswered prayers (David Guzik)
· Not abiding in Jesus (John 15:7).
· Unbelief (Matthew 17:20-21).
· Failure to fast (Matthew 17:21).
· Husband not honoring his wife (1 Peter 3:7).
· Not asking (James 4:2).
· Selfish praying (James 4:3).
· Disobedience (1 John 3:22).
· Not praying in God’s will (1 John 5:14-15).
· Unconfessed sin (James 5:16).
· Cold, passionless prayer (James 5:16-18; 2 Kings 20:5).
· Prayerlessness or a lack of persistence in prayer (Luke 18:1-7; Psalm 55:17).
· Sin against others (Matthew 5:23-24).
· Lack of unity (Matthew 18:19).
· Not praying in the name of Jesus (John 14:13-14).
· Pride (James 4:6, 1 Peter 5:5, Proverbs 3:34).
· Lying and deceitfulness (Psalm 17:1).
· Lack of Bible reading and Bible teaching (Proverbs 28:9).
· Trusting in the length or the form of prayer (Matthew 6:7).

The subject of the previous verse wasn't the demon - it was the unbelief. Therefore, the type of unbelief (sense - visual, however you want to word that) that they are to remove is done via fasting (denial of the senses on purpose) and prayer (interacting with that for which there is no sense). It's not a tough demon, it's a stronghold in the person doing the delivering.
You cannot move that which moves you.
unbelief is partnership with the demonic - agreed, the issue is unbelief - the manifestation is the demon

What is it with Christians who think if what they pray for doesn’t happen, the prayer is unanswered? “No” IS AN ANSWER!. “Wait” IS AN ANSWER! “I have a different plan” IS AN ANSWER! God’s answer isn’t always “Yes.” If you don’t get a yes, it’s NOT unanswered prayer.
