The colours for the Locomotive is quite good for me, it represents colours of an electric charging station. It also has blue accents so why can’t it have blue lights?
I was just stating my own personal opinion. I like the darker versions of yellow and blue better.
It's the same with the lights. If you like it, you can of course leave it as it is, but I think white light is better, especially because all my other trains also have white light. As I described in the video, I think LEGO did a good job... not perfect but quite good.
I didn’t like it at first. But over the last 2 days it’s honestly growing on me. I really love how you showed what it would look like with different colors. Great video!
Yes, it's exactly the same here. At first I thought "OMG... that's it after 4 years of waiting?" But the longer you look at it, the better the set gets. Many people have a problem with the locomotive because it does not look industrial enough, but at least in the European area, freight locomotives have looked like this for many years. I think it's something different compared to the usual LEGO freight trains.
love the locomotive, pretty sure we have the same type for passengers in belgium
It is fascinating how different the reactions are to this locomotive or over the entire train. Some love it others hate it. I think it's a modern electric locomotive and finally something new.
The Locomotive is a Siemens ACS-64/ES-64U.
Except for the front lights, this would be conceivable .. the peak light is also in the wrong place. but you may be right.
Danke für‘s zeigen und aufbereiten der Bilder
Immer gerne.. war ein ziemlicher Aufwand 🤣
🔥👍
I wish they make there trains longer. Like have 5 cars of coal or containers
Yes, you're right...but build your own.. there are plenty of ideas on the internet.
At 6:22, i was thinking about doing that swap to convert it to a passenger train. then, i remembered i have too many. good mod, though
You've given me a whole new idea. I haven't even seen this train as a passenger train, but it's certainly conceivable with a few fancy wagons.
Thank You! Your ideas saved this set for me.
I'm happy if you like it. I will also make modifications to the wagons.
This cargo locomotive is the best bucause it look like french cargo locomotive Alstorm, but at the same time its look like a high-speed passanger locomotive
Yes, it looks really similar to an Alstom. I think the new freight train locomotive looks really good and you can also put it in front of a passenger train. That fits in any case.
I really like your mock ups of the different color schemes. All really cool!
Thank you.. I just wanted to show that you don't have to stick to LEGO's color scheme.
Great to see these new train set this way. 👊😃👍 Only I wanted to see just a little more of the forklift truck.
Maybe there were interesting details that I could you in my Custom Maersk collection.
Otherwise thanks for sharing this set this way 💪
You have to know that I built this train without building instructions. Basically it's not that difficult, but I'm out when it comes to LEGO Technic components. The photos are not good enough to accurately represent the forklift. Sorry about that.
I love it, thank you for your hardwork that you put in this video🙏😀
Thank you very much for the compliment. It is actually a lot of effort to produce a video of this kind. I think tomorrow the new Express Passenger Train (60337) video will come out. I'm working hard on it. ;-)
@@kexysbrickbuilts indeed to produce it and render it is not easy. Did you think how you will add windows to the sides for cargo train?
@@voyteksbricks You mean side windows at the front and rear of the driver's cab, right? Unfortunately, there is probably no good solution. The only possibility would be to replace the curved slope with one in trans clear. But I'm afraid it would be too big for a window, apart from the fact that the slope would be much better in trans black, but it´s not available from LEGO.
It,s pity that is not available in black trans it will be perfect match😇 I need order this set, maybe are preorder available XD
I like the freight train more tbh. I just expected it to be bright orange and not pure yellow
I like both trains. I´m happy that there are new trains after all the years. Many people initially thought that the freight train uses the same molded piece as the last passenger train. So it was obvious that the color had to be bright light orange. But I have checked the used parts. All parts would also be available in bright light orange, so just change it if you like it better.
Its really good train set 👍🏻😃
Yeah, I think so... and the first pictures of the new passenger train were also published tonight... i'm already working on the video.
Great 👍
My guess: Solar panels are printed. Same as in the Moon Sets
I think you're right. I didn't know that the parts were already used in the space station. These are definitely prints. Thanks for the information.
Well built! And a great video! Helped me visualise the set so much better! I dropped you a sub!
Thank you for the compliment and of course for the sub. In about 90 minutes I will publish the video for the new Express Passenger Train. I think that's almost even better ;-)
@@kexysbrickbuilts Perfect! I was going to ask for that actually but decided not to. Must be talented to build these without instructions! Hats off to you!
@@IESpotter I think there's a certain affinity for building LEGO sets digitally. ;-) But to be honest, LEGO City sets aren't that demanding. It only takes a lot of time to find all the details on the few pictures and a certain combination skill is also required. I hope the passenger train is as well received as the freight train
@@kexysbrickbuilts I'd say it definitely will! Do you plan on doing a 60335? The train station?
@@IESpotter Yes, I am already viewing all available images. Unfortunately, the current pictures do not give too much information... The back, for example, is nowhere visible... this makes it difficult to reproduce the station faithfully.
I like your new intro. Is the SBB Giruno a complete MOC or a MOD of someone else's? Now on topic, this new freight train is pretty decent. At first, it looked pretty bad to me, but it has grown on. Flaws are present though. I think that the locomotive is a bit too streamlined. It gives me the sense of a passenger train rather than freight. I think a more consistent color scheme could have been used. Possibly freight wagons of similar color? Similar to how real life works with prototypical consists. Not a fan of the autorack going above the pantographs, but again, younger audiences really do not care about this. I like that many color options are available because of common parts usage. Thanks for the review. The first video I saw on this channel was your 60197 mod which I asked a lot of questions about. E.G. wheelset holders and motor bogie ornaments in DBG. This is when you had about 170 subscribers, now you have almost 1000! Congratulations on such rapid growth...
Hi there, of course I remember you and your questions about the 60197. As you can see, opinions and questions from my viewers and subscribers are important to me, so I try to answer all comments. I will continue to do so until the number of questions becomes so large that it is no longer possible. At the moment I can still do it very well ;-).
To your comment. The SBB - RABe 501 "Giruno" is a MOC from "Germanrailwaybuilder". The building instructions can be purchased via Stone-Heap.com. It is very a nice 8wide model, but unfortunately without interior. I made a few changes that I didn't like so much about the model. In addition, I have created two more additional wagons, which are not present in the instructions. But the model is still 95% the same as in the purchasable manual (except the two extra cars). A large part of the bricks has already been delivered, I am currently waiting for a last, larger delivery in order to finally be able to build the train. In total, my modified version consists of over 6000 parts. Unfortunately, I only fear that it will be too heavy overall and that two engines will reach their limits. I'm currently considering whether to buy one of BuWizz's rechargeable battery packs. They have much more power but it´s also very expensive.
About the 60336: I agree with you that LEGO has taken a very modern path with this locomotive. My first thought was also, "Really? This is the new freight train?" But while I built the train digitally, I found it better and better. I think it's good that there are no molded parts. This simply allows many possibilities to customize the train the way you want it. The entire color scheme is, of course, a bit questionable. I have never seen a freight car for example in dark turquoise 🤣 In my area, the freight cars in real life are probably rather black, gray or reddish brown. If this had been implemented in this model, it would be much closer to reality. But I think you should not forget that it is a model for children. Probably that's why the wagons are a little more colorful and varied. And as you said, there are hardly any rare parts installed (except for a few parts on the car transporter), so you can adjust it accordingly.
In any case, thank you for your comment and that you have remained faithful to me. I am also surprised how rapidly the number of subscribers has risen recently 😅 The word "LEGO" is magical 😂
By the way... What are your thoughts on the new passenger train?
KeXy
@@kexysbrickbuilts My thoughts of the 60337 passenger train have already been said on your review of it.
I do not understand why LEGO did not pay attention to the pentograph on the locomotive ? It should be taller so that it reaches the highest point for placing the overhead wires so that it were no problems for the wagon with the car on top.
I think they don't pay attention to the thing because it's a playset. Children don't care... For my part, however, I will adapt the pantographs. there are many ways and possibilities ;-)
@@kexysbrickbuilts Indeed, you are right, and I had not noticed that till they informed us about it, … but whatever children do not pay attention to it and I do like the set;)
@@bertfripont1545 I don't think I would have noticed it if I hadn't built the overhead lines for it. But in fact, I don't care. I like the set too.. ;-)
Спасибо.
Мне доставляет удовольствие
the train looks awesome, your work is as awesome as the train is, i just wonder if there will be ability to somehow put two lights and one motor in since the hub got only two ports, i just want to ask, if you can put the model of this set somewhere, maybe on the rebrickable, I would really appreciate it
As far as I know, there is no LEGO cable that allows the connection of a third component (additional lighting set). But I'm pretty sure you could find a cable for something like that from Asian manufacturers. I think I will convert the train to power functions, then I don't have this problem. I plan to offer the model with my modifications at BrickLink, but that will take a while until the set is released. Just follow me on rebrickable.com (see link in the description)
I already am following, just wanted model of this train even if it may not be correct built just because I'm building additional cars for this train and wanted the train for only photos, I surely would tag u at that MOC on rebrickable if i would get that model
@@andrejcelko733 I'm pretty sure we'll find a solution for that. Just write me an e-mail, then we can talk privately.
I wish it was cheaper. Seems that lego is giving a bit less compared to other train. Also I wish the boxes had doors instead of being open. The design of train kinda look bad at first but seeing the other colors, it seems to be more of a color problem.
I would basically like LEGO to be a little cheaper. But I don't think you'll get less than with the previous model. The new model is cheaper and has only a few parts less. The containers have to be closed in any case, but you can also do that yourself. I already have many ideas to modify the train. At the moment I am already working on an 8wide version. The colors could actually be a little better, but it's just a set for kids. They prefer it colorful. ;-)
The original colour of the locomotive is pretty ugly but once you see it in another colour it looks pretty good.
Yes, I totally agree with you. But I still prefer the bright light orange/dark blue design.
I like the set and I'll definitely be getting it but I do think the 2018 cargo train is better, hard to beat that though since that was 230$ and this is 180$. I wonder when they'll make another passenger train?
As far as I know, a new train station (set number 60335) and a high-speed train (set number 60337) are also scheduled for release on June 1st, 2022. Unfortunately, no pictures of these two sets have been published yet.
I will buy the set too. The longer I look at the pictures, the more I like the train.
@@kexysbrickbuilts sweet, I still need a station, I got the 2018 passenger train but I'm still gonna get the new one. I like the set, the engine and cars are nice, forklift too, and some cars
@@therailfanman2078 Yes, I actually don't have a train station yet. But I think that new set (60335 - so far no pictures released) will unfortunately only be a very small train station for $100. I think it will be better to build something of your own. There are countless ideas at rebrickable.com. I also really like the 2018 passenger train. However, I modified it quite a bit, maybe you saw my video about it: czcams.com/video/4CEvr13DmD8/video.html
I’ve heard that the new passenger train will be partly green, and have a long nose. I sure hope it looks good. And I’m pretty dang excited for the station too!
@@fluffnose3386 I have heard the same thing. Allegedly lime green is used. Would also be something new. I just hope that the "long nose" is built without molding but from individual bricks. If a new molded part is used, I can't create a digital model ;-) On the last passenger train, it took almost 2 years for the cockpit to be available in Stud.io.
I don't have great expectations of the new station. For $99, that can't be anything special... unfortunately :-(
I think ill change the dark azure to black, or maybe yellow, idk yet
That's the good thing about LEGO. You can customize it how you like it best.
Hello. I want to take this train but they keep saying it derails. Did you experience this problem?
Please excuse the late reply. I've been traveling around the Philippines for the past few weeks and haven't had much time to look at my comments.
I haven't actually had a bad experience with the 60336. With me it drives through curves and switches without any problems, as you can see in my video. But maybe I'm just lucky with my model. I've heard about the problems too.
if you have the full charged batteries and you go max speed it will derail on deep curves/ normal curves dosent matter if you add 3 more wagons
Kexy do y perfer the passenger train or freight train
A difficult question. I like both trains, but if I had to choose, the passenger train would probably win. But that's because I see more potential for modifications.
Jepp.
@@kexysbrickbuilts 🙂
@@SteineimWeltall Ich hab dir eine E-Mail geschickt ;-)
Calling that price steep is not really called for...Cobi ships which contain twice as many parts and cost $200 depending on said ship. For a train that's roughly 1:48 scale (O scale), that's cheap, roughly the cost of a cheap Lionel engine. Plus a Kalmar container crane? I'm down for all three sets. But Lego is their own beast I guess.
A few things I'd change is the overall color choice. I'd try and find the respective parts in red, and try to make it a DB engine, then add a lil' bit to the ends. I'm personally thinking maybe a BR-186, but something along those lines wold be good enough. The headlights wold be made a clear color, as the xenon lights are primarily on cars. And yes the lenses are usually clear. The last thing I'd change is the gondola/open top wagon. Making it a red-brown would be neat. Other than that, no complaints, nice to see nothing related to the Police line up.
I agree with you that the choice of color takes some getting used to and that improvements can certainly be made in this regard. I'm not sure if the BR 186 is the best choice. But sure, try it, I would be interested to know if the result is good. I agree with you about the gondola wagon, dark turquoise is not the best choice. Reddish brown would be much better and more realistic.
@@kexysbrickbuilts I'll let you know how it come's out. Shouldn't be to hard, but I cant even plan due to a lack of a digital designer. If my mind is in sync with my ever-fading inner railroader, they should be close in shape, and looks, maybe not length, because Lego, but it's worth my time to see if I can turn toy into almost-replica.
whats the program to build legos digitally
Mecabricks
There are some programs. I used to work with the Lego Digital Designer (LDD), but it is no longer updated. I am currently using stud.io (can be downloaded on Bricklink.com).
The Engine is pretty, all the Rest is More or less a part delivery. The wrong Hight of the Car Trailer is worse, also Lidl Made that Mistake
The altitude problem is really annoying. I've heard about the Lidl sets, but I haven't looked into them yet. Are there also taller wagons than the pantographs?
@@kexysbrickbuilts yes the fright train comes with a similar waggon which already without the cars a lot higher as the engine it self. I bought it just because of the locomotive itself and the motor and stuff.

you're doing a lego review and being opinionated, but then you say you're not much into technic so you didn't even build the forklift? but also it's one of the more interesting parts of the build? weird.
I think you misunderstood that. As I say at the beginning of the video, all the models were built digitally before the set was officially released and building instructions were available. Since I'm not that familiar with the technic parts, building the model from the recognizable parts from the pictures released up to that point would have been too difficult. That's why I decided not to build a speculative model. But that doesn't change the fact that I think the forklift is much more interesting compared to the individual freight wagons, for example.
$0.16 USD per piece, :(
Unfortunately, yes.. This is LEGO
I dont like this Train. Its ugly and to expansive for the amount of bricks you get.
i don´t think it´s too ugly.. but it´s definitely too expensive. Like most LEGO-Sets ;-)
