I only took the Air Train once. I forget where I was traveling from but the line for taxis was endless - it was just crazy long. Luckily, I remembered that the Air Train existed so I headed on over there. Fortunately, I had enough money on my Metro Card that I sailed right through the gates, got on the Air Train, took it to Jamaica Station, and then grabbed a taxi home from there. It was a bit of an odyssey after a long flight home (I think I had flown home from London that day) but I thanked my lucky stars that I knew of an alternative way to get home. It’s much easier in London to get into the center of town from Heathrow or Gatwick. There’s the Heathrow Express or the Gatwick Express. The Heathrow Express terminates at Paddington Main Line Station and from there I just get a taxi to my hotel. There’s also a tube station at Paddington but with luggage, that’s too much of a schlep.

Yes, I definitely know exactly what you're saying. I remember when I was in London, I took the tube from my hotel to Heathrow
