@@LightBolterGaming Soresu is just the lightsaber fighting form designed as a defence against the blasters, based upon the japanese art of Kendo and Iaido, even with similar movements. When it comes to hand to hand combat, and just looking at the Obi Wan series, the style clearly reminds of Aikido. While the lore of star wars is nice, it's all based on things from the real world, and making the jedi fight using Aikido is such a nice little detail. That's all. :)

I also just read(I think it was the director) head of John Wick 3 did participate in making the show. Maybe he helped with the fight sequences. Regardless, Ben’s badassery with fighting people feels it really parallels with John Wick.

I'm slowly falling in love with the series... It showed a side of Obi-wan which we have never seen before. Sure we've seen him do detective work and evade detection from the enemies as well as negotiate with others, but we have never seen him take down baddies with melee combat, without the need of his lightsaber (which would blow his cover). Also, seeing Obi-wan walk around with his hood did make him similar to Jesus, the Messiah and servant King who dwells among the humans.
Anyone else who dares assume that "this is my first Star Wars flick", you are deeply mistaken about a great many things. I have been a fan of the Star Wars franchise for close to 3 decades already.

This show & the Mandalorian I just love! I love these two series so much! Now if they just made a show based off Legends say? Luke Skywalker versus Prince Xizor maybe or the Sri-ruuk! That's all I would need! Or maybe a Lando Calrissian or more young Han Solo based on the books by A. C. Crispin!! Which I highly recommend to any Star Wars fan! That or a Revan series could be fun!

Sorry, but how would he not know Darth Vader was still alive after ten years? Surely he would've known through osmosis; Tatooine seems to be the centre of the Star Wars universe, or someone like maybe Bail Organa would've heard of Darth Vader. I can't imagine Vader spent ten years sitting in a bacta tank.
That being said, this show wasn't the train wreck I was expecting. I really like the slow burn of this one.
It's a big galaxy. Obi-wan has spent ten years keeping his head down, trying to ignore what's happening beyond Tatooine. Similarly, the Empire is keeping Vader's existence low-key. The Senate might know about him, and the military certainly does, but most wouldn't. Vader isn't good for the Empire's public image. Keeping him low-key also helps ensure that the surviving Jedi don't see him coming and can't try to strike back at the obvious SIth Lord. Obi-wan already tried to kill Vader once before (and very nearly succeeded), which the Emperor must've taken into account.

I think the soldier is commander Alpo or at least somebody underneath his command he was one of the last senior soldiers left in the 501 and there’s no confirm death at the death star to my knowledge which means he wasn’t on the death star if a lot of the theories are right about echo being in disguise then he might have discovered Alpo there and the insignia looks correct the only defining characteristic that would confirm it is if he saw the front of his helmet which has a white arrow right underneath the fan
