Go Hawks! - Sport
Would love to see these 2 back at the club in some capacity
i love you dad so much get me a phone now pls
buy tickets to hawks and richmond and get me a phone
Fagan had a Cyril DVD that only has his non-possession (non-stat) special efforts, showed it to members at an inside the huddle night at Waverley. Bloody incredible.
His 10 touched were like 60
Tears in my eyes listening to Hodgey describe that iconic goal
I had tears in my eyes when it happened because I was sitting directly behind him at the G and knew the game was won at that moment.
@@InterestedParty that would have been beautiful mate
2 legends of the sport and our great club
Legends. All about a successful mentality and setting standards.
I love the hawks but I think our leadership group could learn a lot from the ideas these guys have.
Im still not over Cyril Rioli's retirement
I never will
He had 3 touches a game over rated
@@Ollies_Recovery_Journey integral player in the three-peat
This is brilliant!! Love this kind of internal discussion. Two Hawthorn greats. Sewell was robbed in 2012. He was best on ground in that GF. Hodge, well, he's a legend.
Great listening too 2 legends of our club
Agreed 🤝
I went to 2008 GF did not think they would win, told by many Cats fans I wasted my money. I was so pleased to be there watching My Team playing so well. So happy for them when the final siren went. Great Day! 2013 PF @ 3/4 time, down 20 pts, I was worried. Then saw The HAWKS, back slapping High Fiving, Confident as all hell. Best game ever!
Wonderful chat, thanks guys.
Great videos lads, great to see and hear from you.
So what I'm hearing is that we owe Luke Lowden for the three-peat.
How inspiring was the piece about a young Luke Lowden? The confidence/courage of a zero gamer to speak freely in a team meeting and be a catalyst for change. In the hawks change rooms he was Mandela.
Losing Crawf & Croad then Campbell & Dew to injury, hurt us in 2009....Had to replace all of them.
That was awesome.
Re the Geelong game. Sewell's assessment of the last quarter is absolutely correct
Loving this chat 💓
I remember walking into the G in 2008 following 2 Geelong fans. One had a 07 premiership tatt on her ankle but the other ankle was bare. I told her that she was lucky coz later that night she could cover up the bare ankle with an 08 runners up tatt.
The look on her face ! She doubted my sanity but I KNEW , it was ours for the taking. Not sure why, but I just knew.
Yeah during the finals cats weren’t as good. Hawks were flying
This is happiness
Go the hawks!
Go the Hawks 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Would be interesting to hear the thoughts of Roughy and Lewis as well and of course Clarko
So much credit needs to go to Clarkson for 08. It would not take a lot of imagination to make the case that the game plan was specifically designed with only one team in mind. Even if that was not true it certainly panned out as if it was.
I’m not the biggest hawks fan but Hodgey would definitely captain my GOAT team. Absolute gun
2013-2015 hawks best team of all time
Should have won 4 in a row with that side.
@@alansimmonds9030 should of won 2012
💯%
Should have kept lake for 2016 could have won that one too
Kings 💛🤎
champions
I must admit, was not expecting to hear a Luke Lowden story here
2015 we had the best defence in the comp, 2016 they get rid of lake biggest mistake, our defence went to 7th or 8th and the reason we didnt win 4 in a row....
Yeah we still had a great run 16 if Isaac smith kicked that goal ya never know
@@vains6139 if smith kicked that goal i can almost guarantee we would have won the flag
TURNOVER KING...
I had $20 on brad to win the normie in 2008, thanks luke.
I know what Sewell’s getting at. Dying minutes. Turnover in the middle of the ground by Hodge with forwards out everywhere. Geelong goaled from the turnover, and that was t to be game. Bloke was lucky to keep his spot for the rest of the year.
Lucky? It was hodgey... he was in the side no matter what lol.
@@ChillStepa just having a laugh. I was at the game Sewell and Hodge were talking about. I think it wasn’t just a realisation amongst the players after the game that they were good enough to go all the way.
Prior to the game the sentiment seemed to be we hoped the players could acquit themselves well against the benchmark.
Upon leaving we realised that Hawthorn’s best was good enough to beat a truly formidable Geelong outfit.
You had a bit of help from the umps in those years. Stopped watching WWE, I mean AFL after this.
And they’ve been anti hawthorn the last 10 years
As a hawthorn supporter i absolutely hated any of better players going to other teams It churned my stomach Listening to what happened by these two players it does soften the blow of when they left I still hate the fact that a leading ex hawthorn player wins thr grand final player[ cant think what it is called] win with geelong I will always be a hawthorn supporter win lose or draw We have to get CLARKO back with hawthorn no matter what it takes We also have to remedy the racist issue as soon as possible Alli can say is GO THE HAWKS not for next year but for the years that i am still alive
Bs. Hawks were a big chance against geelong. Cats already peaked 2 months earlier and were declining as season went on as hawks were at peaking at the rg The time.
I mean they were 21-1 weren’t they?Lol
i mean im a massive hawks fan but stop talking about this 3 peat
@@championsofitaly9321 No it won't. It barely gets spoken about right now lmao
Mate I’m a Saints supporter,I would love to be talking about !!!
Sydney went around the boundary and deliberately knocked the ball out after kicking down the sideline all day, this was supposed to be a free kick but virtually none were paid, we wuz robbed.
Badly edited video. The sound is up and down and the video quality isn't that great. Expect better from a professional club
Not as good as the Hawthorn teams of 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989 & 1991.
Those Hawthorn teams are THE greatest VFL/AFL teams of all time.
And I'm a Collingwood supoorter.
Cyril is he most 8verrated player of all time according to bigfooty.
Nah.....Just salty Cats fans still sooking it up over 2008.
