It may not have been the best but I actually quite enjoyed how it was go from a cutscene straight into a multiplayer match, Battle of Demeter especially. I distinctly remember crashing then running full sprint into the fight. Felt very cinematic

I remember those days when the smart pistol was just a primary weapon you could have at any time. Totally nuts that they ever thought that'd be balance. People used to get so mad if you'd use it.
I’m the one who hate them :) Personally, I didn't like use this gun, it soon became boring to play

I actually enjoyed this campaign better than the second, the thought of you winning or losing a mission and it being part of the story made it all the more enjoyable and exciting

I've experienced something similar with GRID Legends recently. The fact that you are driving against real people in career races made it much more fun to finish 4th than to win everything against AI on highest difficulty.

You know, I have the same feeling with Battlefield 1, it was my first MP game that I played a lot, I liked the atmosphere of WW1, game mechanics, but now it's dying, new titles are a shame and cannot give the same enthusiasm and I'm just as sad as you
@@apechannel at least theres still a lot of people playing bf1, I still play it regularly. TF1 is completely dead, I loved that game played it even after TF2 came out, nno game since has captured the emotions that TF series gave me
If you think about it there were no pilot vs pilot scenarios in tf2 campaign. Even bosses were titan vs titan or pilot and titan vs titan. I believe it is impossible to make an AI that would act like a real pilot. So you would never get that feeling that you are fighting with everything IMC has to offer

Tried playing it earlier on xbox and there were ZERO players on worldwide. I just wanted to play the campaign one more time. I wish they'd made a mode where you can play the campaign with AI in a private match. I liked the idea of the campaign being played through multiplayer back then but it sucks you can't really play it now.
Yeah, that's no good, I also waited a year for the game to be released on Steam, so that the opportunity to play the campaign again appeared, there you need at least 8 buddies to fill the lobby, and even then you know it was difficult to find players
I did a primitive version of it by playing the correct maps and gamemodes in order in a private match with a 2nd pc of mine and a private match. But it's really not worth it, just watching videos like these is better. 2nd copy was $5 because it's abandonware now.
a bit late now but the player counter has been broken for a long time, you can still find an attrition match in like 5 minutes

I played multiplayer yesterday
The fact that the game doesn't have any Campaign Singleplayer missions, they're mixed in Multiplayer. The selection of players is based on the mission where they are. For example: Players, who are in the second mission will face online players in the same mission. It's a great idea, but I'd like to see singleplayer missions, too...

one of the best collective gaming experiences ever back when it first came out.
I must say having online play matches is a very odd way to conduct what is typically a singleplayer campaign.
There are tons of modern singleplayer games that are even worse than this set of MP matches, at least this one with robots)
I would like to see a Titanfall campaign in the style of Front Mission, you have the gritty and war torn atmosphere to show how desperate both sides can be. The perspective would also be split between two separate campaigns where one should play as a Militia pilot (maybe Cooper again) and the other as an IMC pilot to show their side of the war as well. You’d pick which side you want to play as or maybe each mission is a linear script but by the end, you pick which side to fight for by the end of the campaign and have to fight the other pilot and their Titan as the final boss. Who knows though, maybe it’s just dust and echoes at this point…

Im gonna be honest i love TF1, but not for the gameplay, i love the game because od the graphics, lore and soundtrack. Gameplay is not as important as the other aspects of the game. The map design caught my eye, its really pretty and good at least for me. You should feel lucky that you finished campaign, i didnt have such a chance and i wish i could.
I totally agree, I think the game is fantastic in every aspect that you mentioned, in fact I was very surprised that there are players and I can play the campaign because when I bought it the lobby was almost empty and I very much doubted that I would ever have a chance to walk it through

The first one had so much more customization and replay value. titanfall 2’s single player was my fav since halo but the multiplayer felt underwhelming, all i could feel was “wish i was playing the original multiplayer”

Its definitely more boots on the ground than the adhd speed fest that is Titanfall 2. In my opinion, other than the mechs and wall running, it doesn't really stand out too much against other shooters at the time. I'm glad Respawn doubled down on movment being a core mechanic in the sequel.

Looking back I think one of the things I really liked about the campaign was that it was a multiplayer campaign which is a unique take on campaigns. I actually like the idea in the sense that you as a player actually dictates how the campaign mission played out. Now granted the story doesn’t have much impact if you won or lost so that could have been something they could have improved on. But I think multiplayer campaign mission could have been an interesting concept.
Agree, but main thing that devs missed, from my opinion of course, that add an ability to replenish lobby wit bots if there is a lack of real players, it is impossible to the campaign without players, as a result game become dead 💀
I’m glad this video is out there man because I just purchased a copy on Xbox 360, but I don’t have Xbox Live Gold membership. The game won’t even let me go past the start screen because I can’t play multiplayer modes, come to find it doesn’t even have a singleplayer story. Microsoft & EA are the only reason I’d have to look up if my broke self can play certain games
Yes, the multiplayer campaign solution is not good when there are no players in the lobby, I also had the opportunity to make this video after TF reappeared on steam and players appeared in the lobby again for a while, before that I also encountered the same problem.

I loved the atmosphere of the old maps, especially Assault on the Sentinel and the ones with the giant creatures in the background. And the maps were bigger and more tactical. And you were able to hack sentry guns. TF2 is not bad at all though, but it´s faster and i miss the enthusiasm of TF1.

When I played Titanfall 1, I pretty much only played campaign. It's like normal matches, but with some extra story and drama. I loved the Battle of Demeter especially, feels so epic!

Is there another side to the missions or are they IMC only?
Yes, the game has two flows for both opposing sides, but you cannot choose which one to play on your own, you can start the one that the game offers you and continue until you finish the game session, in my video you can see a combination of both, because not all matches had the right number of players, and I had to play in different game sessions. In fact, the sequence is the same in both, but the intro videos are slightly different.

I guess it's not available in your country, VPN can help you, but afaik there are no players in the lobby these days, since this game is MP only, you won't be able to play it even with a VPN.
If Titanfall 1 was still on sale, for new players, which one would you recommend them to get first Titanfall 1 or 2?
TF 1 has only multiplayer and some said that there is no lobby (no players), so no ability to play, TF2 has players time to time for multiplayer but it has offline campaign though and you can buy it on steam

Hi, most of them are NPCs, but there are also real players, in fact, you cannot start a campaign unless there is a certain number of real players. If you look closely, they (NPCs and players) are different.

I have a question are you playing as the first pilot of BT 7472 in Titanfall 1 and Jack Cooper is like a kid in Titanfall 1 and in Titanfall 2. He is an adult that sounds like a pretty weird thing for the creators of Titanfall to do have the first pilot of BT 7472 the main character of Titanfall 1. And Jack Cooper the main character of Titanfall 2
