32 years of undying love for her, two kids, helped her to build her business.
I lost my business, floundered for a year or more but still kept a roof over our heads.
My income was ours.
Hers was hers.
She bailed out of the marriage and two weeks later met someone else.
I don't want to be with someone like that. But ffs, I certainly let my life long commitment to her blind me to the reality that she didn't love me like I loved her.

I am learning how to love myself because I was running from my pain from the past so I couldn't love my wife and kids the right way because I was hurting inside and I am glad that I stopped doing that shit because I have missed so much time being mad at myself for not being able to do what I was supposed to do, I was hurt because of my mother and she didn't give me the love that I needed to be a good man to others and be caring and compassionate to other people and not just thinking about me and what I wanted..selfish 💔💯

Wow can't believe i stumbled across this. It happened to me. I gave everything i had to my relationship and he just belittled me. Ignored me when i was upset and left me night after night alone to drink in the pub with the lads. Sometimes not coming home till 2.00am or 3.00am. Finally i walked away and he broke down for the first time ever saying he'd never find anyone like me again. And he didn't but i was drained and done. Take heart from this everyone. Sending love ❤️

I went through the same thing recently. There is an old Olivia Newton-John song called if you love me let me know and part of the song says before too long I built my world around you. That's what happened to me. Now it's time for healing. I'm stronger than I thought but it was hard at first.

I just realized that most of my relationship were very one sided with me giving more than receiving and I was okay with it but I'm not anymore and have been leaving a lot of unhealthy and a balanced relationships. Leaving toxic family and friends in the process. It's been really hard as I believe in not leaving anyone behind. Learning how to respect my own boundaries and sticking to them leaves me leaving a lot of people I love behind...but I know in the end I will be better off doing what I need to do for myself at this point in my life.😊❤❤

This is repetitive pattern in my life. I have to take responsibility for for my part in the disaster of my life. I have to reinvent myself from square one. I have a plethora of issues to work on. The first thing I must do is declare that I forgive others and ask for forgiveness from others. From this day forward I will love myself and will not feel that I must give to receive approval from others. I will set boundaries will never give in to others manipulation. This is exactly where I was. I finally figured out my wife only cared when her wants were involved. We had a partnership agreement and she broke it. I still tried to make it work. I poored my love and money into this woman without a thought until I realized how ungrateful she was. I pulled back and told her she had to prove our marriage was important to her or I am not interested. Yes there are more details to this but you get the idea. I was tired of compromising myself at every turn. We were not growing together.
