Bailey Fires Qadri - Grey's Anatomy

- Dr. Dahlia Qadri (Sophia Ali) is upset because she came to Grey Sloan Memorial specifically to work with Dr. Meredith Grey, and when she confronts Chief Bailey (Chandra Wilson) about firing Meredith, Bailey fires her as well. Watch 'Grey's Anatomy' THURSDAY 8|7c on ABC.
Greys anatomy was like: thats enough diversity for the season!
Ssss 12321 omg I’m ded 😂😂😂

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Honestly woke culture is going too far. Making Peter Parker's girl Black is one thing. But they just can't stop forcing minorities in the most evident and obvious ways that it just looks so tacky.
@@asparrow9876 How is adding one girl with Hijab as an intern evident and obvious?
@@MMOInformers Because it's out of place. Out of the blue, ironically. They could've hired any Arab but they just HAD to make her wear a hijab..... And before you call me racist or islamophobic, I'm half Arab and more than just Muslim.
Everyone saying Qadri shouldn’t have talked to her boss like that acting like Bailey hasn’t been disrespectful to Richard, Derek and Owen
And Burke lol
Ikr!???? It's one thing to like the character, but my God, they're being too hypocritical.
LITERALLY OMGGG
True but Bailey always had a point. She was hard to ignore in the earlier seasons because she was the most professional person in the hospital and the only time she got involved in other peoples business was when it affected the work.
This doctor is yelling at the chief because she didnt get to work with her favorite doctor. She is being unprofessional and she hasnt built up a reputation equal to Baileys.
She hasn't
something ive recently noticed that has been really bugging me is that bailey fired meredith for insurance fraud right? but in season 3 or 4, there was the episode with the 3 women who going to a ball but were in a car accident because of black ice. One of their insurance policies was going to run out at midnight and her surgery wouldnt have been covered. The surgery started at like 12:20am but bailey made alex change the clock so that she could write that the surgery started before 12. So bailey literally committed insurance fraud so that a patient could recieve their necessary care, which is exactly what meredith did yet she got fired but no one found out about when bailey did it
Everybody on greys is a hypocrite. That’s just like everybody had all kinds of opinions about Meredith being with Derek cause he was an attending but nobody said a word when Yang got with Burke
Grey should’ve just done the procedure pro Bono. That’s why I didn’t understand-why she didn’t.
THANK YOU
That’s because this show has lazy writers and no one with actual medical knowledge or any morals really think this show is good. I really tried getting into it and i just can’t see past the obvious lack of medical knowledge they put into the writing.
@@Johnjanosz wait facts - WHY DIDNT THEY JUST DO THIS LMFAO 💀💀💀
Qadri being fired is the most ridiculous scene in the entire season of Grey’s Anatomy. I was speechless when they decided to get rid of her just like that.
Lmfao she was a badly written character only put there because she was a pretty girl and because "diversity". Zero interesting traits, nothing. Just a girl with a hijab to show theye on the high moral ground instead of a girl with a story AND, also, a hijab.
The actress asked to be written out because she got a show in New Zealand
@@dwightyouignorantslut3530 that makes sense.
@@dwightyouignorantslut3530 yea I figured her getting a better job was exactly why lmao
I was wondering if it would be that easy to fire someone in the US. In my country that is not possible for just disagreeing with your boss.
Is this how lazy the writers are now? Just firing them instead of killing them off in interesting ways
Laurathor lolll
Laurathor Poor minor characters sacrificed, I mean one more potential wasted for the satisfaction of keeping on-screen the rest of the main cast. So common for the most of US tv show.
They can’t kill off everyone. lol
Lmaooo
You can’t please the world. If the writers decided to kill off anyone, people would get upset and uproar. I mean they learned their lesson with George, Derek, Mark and Lexie
If you think about it, Bailey got angry because Quadri told her that Meredith was better than her
No, just no.
Bailey made the right decision because after Quadri giving everyone shit all day (especially Jo) she yells at her SUPERIOR that the only reason she even applied there got fired. Quadri then proceeds to verbally jerk Meredith off, even tho she isn't there, after Bailey said that there are other well capable Doctors there she could learn from.
Imagine you coming home and bringing your Kid Candy. Suddenly the Kids starts yelling at you because it wanted another brand and throws a Tantrum for no real reason. Would you just accept that your Kid is madly misbehaving, or would you punish it accordingly?
Of course you can't fire your kid so that's about all the difference.
Also i encourage you to yell at your Boss like this and throw a tantrum. Then come back and tell me if you still got your Job.
But in all honesty, Meredith is a better surgeon than Miranda
In fact Meredith Grey is the God of General Surgery
@@CedricBassman anyway, Meredith is still better than Bailey
@@Jaggerx33 ummm... no not really... Winning or being nominated for an award does not signify that youre a better surgeon than someone else. You can’t really say a surgeon is better than another because we’re not given any actually career info about these people.
Is it realistic to be fired after telling them they made a huge mistake and nobody else is good enough? Yes.
Have many other characters done much worse things and just got a slap on the wrist? Also yes.
This is why this scene hits so hard for me.. too close to home ..working as a nurse especially during covid. Not to mention what a hypocritical, insecure and dysfunctional manager Bailey is. Disgusting
!!
Um did you forget once izzie did all that with Denny she quit and even when she came back she was on scut until season 4 and then Meredith got fired for tapering with the medical trial she eventually came back and was suspended for a long while and karev when he assaulted deluca he turned himself in and went to jail but deluca decided to drop the charges and karev didn’t come back because Bailey fired him and then she changed her mind so what character got away yeah they may not have gotten your ideal punishment but there was consequences to their actions😒
I hope they bring her back
One thing about it. Being accepted into a professional medical field and only wanting to be taught by one doctor means that you don’t have what it takes to be an actual surgeon. You also have to learn from the sources that surgeon learned from as well.
Did anyone else find Qadri’s sudden devotion to Meredith odd? I would have expected that kind of devotion from Helm, not Qadri. Felt like they just needed to eliminate another resident- too many characters/storylines.
I felt like qadri was more devoted to Jackson and helm and Levi to meredith
That was just an excuse since the actress who played Qadri had to leave the show.
@@MartinSandwich makes sense... just felt very random
@@MartinSandwich why did she have to leave?
@@JB-ys2cp not sure but it has something to do with her going to New Zealand for new TV and Cinema projects. I guess the actress is just trying new adventures.
Why is bailey acting like she never made mistakes, she is just firing people left and right. I used to like her now she has become an unlikable character
I still love that woman😂❤she gives zero shits about reputation or who's who, she just fires your ass🤣🤣
She didnt fire her for messing up, she fired her for repeatedly disrespecting her. I feel for the fact that Qadri wanted meredith, but complaining and disrespecting your BOSS in every chance isn't gonna help.
kayy- lizzy The writers seem to forget that Bailey willingly defrauded the insurance company by turning back a clock.and she asked Karev to help with that. This was in an earlier episode that was just on TV in reruns. Oops!
John Y Yaussi She also ignored Izzies DNR as well. I love Bailey and I always will. But she is making bad mistakes. She is bringing the hospital down.
kayy- lizzy she committed insurance fraud in season 5 so she can suck it. I’m so tired of bailey.
Honestly if someone says that they’re ONLY there for one reason and that reason isn’t there, THERE IS NO POINT OF THEM BEING THERE. Her being fired is creating more space for someone who actually wants to be there for the right reasons.
Perhaps, but it's incredibly illegal and immoral to fire someone over a complaint. When she's applying to a new hospital, it won't look good that she was fired. It was purely malicious.
@@matthewallen2273She's not fired over a complaint. She's fired because she's not a right fit for the program. They have every right to dismiss you at any time for that
@@RavenPendragon14they actually don’t sis.
I loved Bailey before, but Bailey became unbearable in later seasons. She's always been jealous of Meredith, especially over Richard.
Yesssss! That came out clearly during her trial for the insurance fraud, when Richard stood up for Meredith
I started disliking Bailey when she took away what Cristina left to Alex after she left her share of the hospital to him.
maria martinez Forreal 😑
maria martinez preach
"took away" First of all she earned it and Christina was dumb to think she could give a spot that wasn't hers to give. You have to earn it , can't just give it away to whoever.
Bailey got the board seat, we don't know if she got the shares too. I don't know the legal part involved, but Cristina paid for those shares, so I think she can give'em to whomever she wants, she can't just lose them because the board said so. I have a feeling that Alex kept the shares even though Bailey got the seat, but again, I don't know the legal parts involved.
@@kva5751 Cristina technically didn't earn the seat, she bought it.
Qadri was so out of character this whole episode. She was never a Meredith Fangirl in first place. Her being so super angry and emotional does not fit to her character at all
I totally agree
Yea she is usually like sensitive and jus minding her business they should leave made it that one girl who has a crush on Meredith
@@aaronbarraza1476 just what I was telling a friend today. It should have been Helm not Quadri
Adel Ahmad yeah wasnt helm the original fan girl?
John Itaman Quadri is more a Jackson fan girl , so this doesn’t really add up.
This is probably the most realistic thing this show has done yet. To make it all the way through med school is not easy and getting into a top tier residency is extremely difficult. Even if someone who you admired left, absolutely no doctor in a residency program in real life would act this way! Why would you trash talk your program, the hospital, doctors, etc. and still expect to have a job? This whole show is unbelievable and unrealistic, but as a chief of surgery she was not wrong in her decision!
Yang did it. Several times. Especially in season 4, and to Chief Weber's face.
@@ethancharles2189 That’s why OP said that the show is ridiculous and unrealistic most of the time. Obviously Cristina has plot armor, but this is reality
you are absolutely right and the show is unrealistic, but we have seen this attitude towards someone in a superior position many times and they keep their job. Considering the way the show has been done in the past, Miranda is way off (also Miranda is the one that disrespected her superiors the most)
Exactly. All these cry babies over being fired. You know they never worked anywhere with standards
Ahhhh thank, finally someone said it! All people in the comments have no idea how healthcare works.
i feel like bailey was jealous of that everybody wanted to work with or for meredith, because she is used to being in command, and because she practically raised meredith, and now she feels hurt that everybody else wants only meredith. Like the saying, a student became better than her teacher.
Bailey is lowkey starting to become my least favorite character taking Owens spot

I guess she is😒 soon she b d only one left in d hospital 😁
She just should fire herself, than all the problems would be fixed.
There’s gonna be no doctors by the end of the season.. idk what Shonda is thinking but she’s an idiot and I am hating this season so far and I actually might stop watching
She is and she needs to get under control
I don’t understand doesn’t Meredith co own the hospital
It’s so weird how Ross did the same thing to Meredith and everyone was so quick to jump on her side, but as soon as an INTERN shows disrespect to Bailey, Bailey is the crazy one.
I think many of the commenters have animus against black women. Like two comments above. someone brought up Dr. Bailey talking back to Dr. Webber. Dr. Hunt, & Dr. shepperd. But depending on when, those men weren't in an authoritative role with Dr. Bailey, not that I ever recall a time Dr. Bailey just outright disrespected someone, especially all day like Dr. Qadri had been doing. There's a difference between speaking out and speaking your mind.
Pls Ross was awful and his disrespect was uncalled for, Bailey is an actual Nazi now who doesn't care about anyone's feelings
Ross didn’t get fired. No suspension. No probation. Not even a slap on the wrist.
Protagonist Halo.
ross was having a nervous breakdown then i dont really think you can blame him
It is crazy that, somehow this show has made it seem like Meredith is the most premiere surgeon in the hospital. I mean, I don't even understand how she got a Harper Avery Award. She grew livers, Callie Torres grew bone, she and derrek engineered robotics that allowed amputees to actual move prosthetics with electric impulses from their brains, Amelia removed an "inoperable tumor," Maggie is the youngest Cardiothoracic surgeon in like ever. And let's not forget that Christina Yang, the best surgeon to ever walk in or out of those doors, was denied her Harper Avery Award because of a "conflict of interest" that suddenly didn't matter anymore. I feel like Mer evolution from good surgeon to best surgeon came out of nowhere. I didn't see that growth at all. I feel like she and Bailey are at the same level as general surgeons. The specialty doctors are way more impressive.
I smell a personality-altering disease in Bailey's future coming on.
@@roxana4136 Lady this is Grey's Anatomy! You don't just get ONE mental problem (and have a heart attack, give birth while your husband is having life-saving surgery after a serious accident with a bomb that could kill all of you at any moment, survive the shooter etc); Bailey is due some life-altering activity and the rest of the DRs need some quirky extraordinary (that only they can do and has never been tried on humans etc) surgery to show off their amazing skills.:-P
Kinda like Amelia's tumor
I don't see why. In my opinion, Qadri has been making insubordinate comments like this since Grey was fired. If this was any other CEO/Chief/hospital administrator, Qadri would have at least received a final warning by now. I do think that Bailey should have given Qadri a final warning instead of firing her, but I do understand why she did it. Yes, Grey Sloan is a teaching hospital, but it's also a business. let's not forget that.
I think the problem is somewhere eslse, it's a power thing, now Alex Karev seems to be a better chief and Bailey fired 3 surgeons without thinking of the consequences, in the next episode look like Andrew takes the door.
@@HarukaNUsagi: Thank you. When Qadri made that Meredith statement to Jo, that was a bit disrespectful. Professionals realize that doctors do get fired. Why suspend people who could lose their licenses?! This wasn't some small thing. It's insurance fraud. Even though it was for a good cause, the action had consequences and Meredith stepped up only after she realized that Andrew could lose his job. She didn't even think about what her actions could have done to the hospital, as a whole. As part owner, it's her responsibility to do exactly that. Qadri was not even at that level to understand what Meredith did.
Bailey you’re going to run out of doctors. Like seriously.
Deadass
At the end of the season, everyone will enjoy work at pac north lol
Marielle Glen all she's gonna be stuck with is shitty people cause she keeps getting rid of good workers
Tutes Arela yes probably except Bailey 😂
If she keep fire people there be no more Gray's anatomy it will be Bailey anatomy Boo Boo. 🤬🤬🤬
The most random exit of a refreshing character that had started to develop. Good going guys👏👏👏
Bailey used to be my favorite character. What on earth are the writers thinking
This is not fair, I think Qadri was disrespectful but not to the point for being fired
She basically said she came there because she is a fan of Grey not because she wants to be surgeon. She also doesn't care that there are other doctors than Grey in that hospital. She is a fan girl, nothing more. How would Jo feel if she heard that? These characters act like morons so much now. And let's face it, Grey committed fraud so she got fired that's not some sin. Not only that Webber who is supposed to be the Guru here acts like a child as well. He couldn't come up with a way to cover up the fraud better? All those years of experience and he just says I also participated! I m like what??? Are you stupid all of a sudden. So yeah Bailey should fire anyone who doesn't see the liability Grey posed..and the whole 3D printing? Again it comes off as weird someone who came up with that couldn't have done a better job of saving a kid with no insurance..
midwings00 I think it was more of the fact that she knew she wanted to be a surgeon because she was in school. However, Meredith Grey made her want to work that much harder. Grey really pushes her people. For example, she could’ve taken over that surgery remotely and made everyone look bad, including Bailey. However, she put her trust in Jo and let her make the corrections herself. Lastly, Meredith Grey has all of us Grey’s fans wanting to be surgeons. So, I don’t think Qadri meant it like a fan girl, but she feels that Meredith is an inspiration and a great person to learn from.
@@pj94__ what about the suicidal tendencies she displayed earlier or that she was sleeping with attendant? Those are not qualities you should be inspired from. Not to mention the fraud she committed in the alzheimer trial? Do you know how messed up real life medical research is? Just look at that stupid anti vaxxer movement that holds a discredited work as gospel! The thing is this fan girl doesn't even feel that Grey made a mistake! These days fake news and rumors make it hard for employers or bosses to even support their people till the guilt is proven and she is acting like Grey is the only one important! Now when someone like Webber who is very experienced just says I also participated in the fraud and then is shocked that he is fired for such act makes you wonder just what kind of imaginary world he had created and made his students live in it too. No wonder an intern is being pissy about punishment handed out for a crime committed.
midwings00 We know this isn’t a true depiction of the medical field. If we’re speaking realistically, no one on the show would have a job. However, I’m sure Qadri knows that Mer has made mistakes, but it’s those mistakes that have made her the surgeon she is. Being a master at your work is not about only your highs but your lows as well. Those lows are really the true motivator because you’re able to learn from them and get back up to fight. That’s why I said the she more inspired by Mer than anything and feels that she can learn a lot more from her than anyone else, and she actually can because Mer has been through it all.
@@pj94__ but she expects Bailey to not have fired her. Why? She understands but still she is more pissed at Bailey? That makes no sense..its well and good that we know this is fiction but at the same time how can we say she is stronger from her lows as well as her successes when she was protected and not punished? And when she is punished? Her chief is hypocrite? C'mon.. there are stories of doctors harming the patients and getting away with it for decades..I never seen such a story here handled well. That old female surgeon that Christina gets fired they made it look like because she was female who was a first in Male dominated field her mistakes are not so bad..in the end the story was about how Christina would feel when she reaches her old age? I was so confused by that... Avery s grandpa being a sexual predator? That just felt like a obligatory story in the wake of metoo..the predator just dies in the script..it would have better if they showed how the prep was punished..because these women have survived so far what they needed was justice and punishment for the prep..this show always let's its doctors slide away from punishment.
Just because this resident disagrees? Because she hurts Bailey's feelings? Because she admires Bailey's student? Get a grip, Miranda!
Katrine Igland Bailey is the chief of surgery. She was just disrespected by one of her subordinates. She had every right to fire her. What would happen if you did that at your job
@@trhall614 Bailey has always advocated for people (especially women) to stand up for what they believe in.

@@mysterysunfurled Thinking people deserve to be fired for speaking their minds is disgusting.
Everyone can hate on Bailey, but this scene is poignant in how professionals become disillusioned by success and feel invincible. Quadri had a bad attitude and didn't see the value in the residency program, only in Meredith, which isn't a reason to accept a job saving people's lives. Yes Bailey bent the rules numerous times, but she didn't get caught and wasn't in the same position of power she is in now. EVERYBODY knew about Grey committing fraud and there wasn't a way to hide it. Quadri spent the season allowing her hubris to compromise her competency as a surgeon because she wanted to be under Meredith. There were other accomplished surgeons in the hospital she could have followed but she didn't see the value in that, proving she was there for prestige and not the actual medicine.
Agreed Jackson, Alex and the others are top notch seurgons as well, if she's such a fan of meredith might as well offer to be her house keeper and alleviate her from her stresses of looking after 3 kids
You do realise from the beginning Bailey has always been jealous of Meredith after she become close to Richard but she didn't have power to rant her but now she has the power she made sure she made Mer feel powerless, and it went to the court hearing by her saying the most impossible things about Mer, and when they went out Richard told her something and she said you always on Mer side and richard told her you jealous, because she is family and family is suppose to cover each other which she didn't, and when Alex brought in Mer patients to testify on behalf of Mer she felt defeated so at the end she had to say something, and the jealous has continued to S18 when Mer hot an opportunity to work in Minnesota.

Her whole thing was standing up to people even when it could get her fired. She could have gotten fired plenty of times from injecting deactivated hiv into a child without parents permission and committing insurance fraud as well but she never sent to jail because “they were for a good cause “ or because she was able to talk everyone out of it. It's ridiculous because it just sets Bailey up as the most hypocritical character on the show. She's been rude to every single person from Richard downwards. Her issue in this moment is that people recognise Meredith to be a better surgeon than she ever will and she and her inflated ego can't handle that.
Bailey should have fired her, she more concerned with working with her hero then she is helping patients. Again, the description states that Qadri is upset because she came to Grey Sloan Memorial specifically to work with Dr. Grey. And because she not working with Dr. Grey she decides to throw a tantrum. What would happen if Meredith retires or moves to another state. Qadri should be more worried about learning as much as she can with who is currently around her and if Dr. Grey comes back fine. If not, she is still there to do a job.

Nah i like Bailey too but she was butt hurt because she said she didn’t come to work for her but for grey and bailey got jealous and mad and fired her. You can see it in her face when she tells bailey she came for grey not her or the other doctors. TBH I think she had it coming. They are doctors first. Their priority should be to help and treat patients and not be a fan of ONE doctor. If she truly wanted to learn, she would take in everything she could from those around her instead of fussing over a teacher who isn't there. Suck it up and perform. That's what Merideth did. Being in medical school right now I cant imagine words like this coming out of my mouth. I can see why she was fired. Very entitled mentality. Just getting a residency spot is a gift and sure she worked hard but that means nothing now. Wow.
Sandra Meesala meredith was the only reason qadri came to that hospital. someone needed to speak up against bailey. she’s been horrible since she became chief. maybe the problem isn’t residents standing up for themselves, rather, prideful attendings who are quick to fire people before looking in the mirror.
anna ryan it’s about respect. She’s your boss. You can’t go off on her and expect to keep your job. She didn’t fire mer for the hell of it. And to think she’s gonna bring her back just because you a RESIDENT cry about it is entitled AF
Keep in mind this is a show where most of the characters regularly yell at each other or do something inappropriate for a work environment. So many characters have gotten overly emotional and yelled at someone and they weren't fired. Plus think of all the illegal things doctors have done on this show and they weren't fired. From cutting open people with a clipboard to cutting lvat wires to injecting a retroviral treatment into a kid without consent to messing with a clinical trial
Vaishnavi Tandra it doesn’t matter who’s done with what at a different point in time. She decided to yell at her boss in this moment and her boss decided to fire her. That’s life

It really annoys me how people hate on Bailey. You can't have a doctor who runs crying to the boss because her idol was fired. Her main focus should be the PATIENTS, not Mer. It's creepy, childish, and unprofessional. Everyone's just mad that Bailey is being a good boss and not giving free passes for cutting LVAD-wires (which was such a psycho thing for Izzie to do and she should have been criminally charged) or other bs.
I’d run to Richard and Alex then...they know she’s gifted. Before long, half of Grey Sloan will be at Northwest

Power corrupts. Tbh it felt like Bailey fired her bc Qadri basically said I came her because of Meredith who is a great surgeon instead for you. I mean aside from being chief is there nothing Bailey achieved. Probably also why Harper Avery got her name wrong 😂
Qadri will work with Webber since the man still needs residents. You’re welcome.
Sophia Ali is doing a show in New Zealand. She won't be back as a regular guest star.
Jina Koffi awwwww :(
Qadri now works in Michigan.
When you don't know shit but pretend you do
THEY BETTER BRING HER BACK!
Won't be surprised that she comes back with a holy-war on BOOTY-CALL-BAILEY.
yells at boss, gets fired, shocked Pikachu face
They’re just not going to stop until we hate all the characters. We get it, Bailey let the power get to her. Can this and all the other drawn out storylines (ie Jo) wrap already?
I love Quadri. Her and Schmitt are my fav interns but I have no idea why she was suprised that this happened. She tried to tustle with BAILEY! Even if she is an intern she should know never to do that shit. She fully told her the only reason she's her is because of Grey, and basically said everyone else was shit in comparison. I love her, but she had this shit coming
And Parker too i love him.
Bailey used to do that with all others chiefs, and of course she is always right, God witt all that she has become I really hate her
Remembre how Bailey treated Arizona at first?
So people can’t challenge their boss when they think they did something wrong?
@@Jazzzzyyyy__
You can. Well, depends on your boss.
But you can not give your colleagues shit all day and finish it off with throwing a tantrum in front of your Boss and insulting your co-workers, your superiors and about every other soul in the Hospital. Because the Hero you came here for got RIGHTFULLY fired for commiting a CRIME and she got caught. And let's face it, this wasn't even the first time Meredith commited a serious crime.
Meredith violated the Law, got caught and this went public. What other Option did Bailey have than to fire her (In a scenario where 11/10 Bosses would fire said employee).
The most ironic thing about this scene is that the entire time Qadri is essentially talking down to Bailey because she’s not Meredith, but she taught Meredith ! That’s what seriously frustrated me about her was they made Meredith look like a god of surgery but she’s just another surgeon at the hospital
Did the writers even know where they were going with this character? Did they know where they’re going with anything anymore?
This isn't going to end well for Bailey. Last season she took that leave for her mental health. Don't get me wrong, good for her for recognizing she needed the extra help, asking for help is not a sign of weakness. However, the hospital was still going strong under Alex's leadership, which made Bailey a little insecure, seeing her interns possibly surpassing her. So firing Mer and Alex was not just about insurance fraud, but also an attempt to reclaim control. Also, while Qadri was disrespectful to the chief, Bailey could have disciplined her through other means: banned from the OR, suspension, etc. The show is setting Bailey on the warpath; Bailey is going to be the bad guy like in season 13 with Minnick. I hope they don't ruin Bailey as a character because she has always been one of my top 5.
remember when Bailey used to be called the Nazi in earlier seasons, and one time Christina mentioned that she was on a warpath to Burke's mom or something like so I think that was somehow foreshadowing how her character was going to develop
Honey they ruined her already
Honestly I don't get how Minnick was fired when they let their students do whatever they want. They even let Burke fake surgeries. How can they cover up and protect their people doing wrong but fire Minnick? She is actually following the protocol of this hospital, I.e screwing up but they didn't protect her they screwed her over.
@@blahhh6468 she can still be redeemed imo. The season just started so before she declines even further, they need to help her out. :'(
This is such a good analysis :')
Grey might poach some people if Bailey isn't careful,I bet Alex would be stoked to have better staff.
Everyone complaining about Quadri's sudden an unexplained devotion to Grey or whether or not her being rude and insubordinate would justify being fired or whatever need to realize there's a point in any criticism where you need to stop complaining about a character and instead complain about the writing of that character.
Once you realize that no character, no matter how much you love them or champion them, is immune to bad writing you'll find it so much easier to accept why they suddenly act out of character in ways to further the plot and can lay the blame where it belongs, at the writer who couldn't get the story where it needed to go without using one of it's characters in a way that doesn't make sense for them.
Still can’t believe Qadri was ACTUALLY fired, and not just, like... “Meredith fired.”
I really don’t like where Baileys character is going. She’s turned into a super mean person. She is so rude to Meredith now and everyone who talks about Grey.
Edit: TYSM for all the likes!!❤️❤️ #greysfan
Same!!
To be fair I don't think her character ever really like Meredith. But she's becoming insufferable now because she has the power to. If it were up to her Meredith would have been fired ages ago
Tiffany Pollard you’re probably right
Crystal yeah but not all the time.
I think they are trying to bring back the nazi because in each season she was slowly starting to get soft
Bailey needs to be fired! She is completely out of her mind! Qadri is one of the best new residents and she was right to point Meredith's reputation out! Bailey was just pissed all people didn't came for her because who is she?!
Who is here after Sophia is in The Wilds
If you watch most the scenes in this show with Qadri it feels like the writers and shonda really went out of their way to keep this character in the background. Also they made her seem weak, unskilled, a pandered to a white woman, and unable to be an independent thinker. Not the status quo of what it used to be for minority characters that's for sure.
I mean o’girl was unprofessional and very disrespectful. Regardless of what you’re intentions are for being and doing what you do, you don’t insult the boss and think you actually get to stay. There are ways to express and there are also a time and a space. She decided her fate when she let her feelings get the best of her. Grey is fried not dead.
Unpopular opinions
1. Owning part of a hospital is not the same as working at said hospital as an employee.
2. I dare you to cry-yell at your boss the way Qadri did with Bailey...please don't forget to comment whether you' got to keep your job or not.
Lol! Right? That girl was downright disrespectful but no because she was defending Meredith she didn't deserve what she got.. Spare me
@@Mia_M what i meant was that even though Mer may own part of the hospital it doesn't mean she is exempt from being fired from her job as a surgeon when it's called for--like committing fraud...for a few seasons now, so many fans have been complaining that Mer gets away with everything and now that she has to face the consequences for her actions it's all Bailey's fault...and fans are still complaining...
I did and i still have my job
#Facts...and whoever states otherwise is lying, unless their boss was harassing them from the beginning. I fired an employee for getting disrespectful. It creates a hostile work environment. Bailey's firings were justified. Folks don't have to like it, but Meredith, Alex, and Webber got caught in lies by the insurance company. The whole hospital could have closed.
Any job where you can't express your displeasure or disappointment with the work environment (especially in a hospital where it's about your education) isn't a job anyone should want. Bailey should be able to listen and take criticism without firing ppl. And she's not being very chiefly bc she's dismissive and rude to anyone who expresses support for meredith. It's childish
😂😂😂 “now you and your hero got something in common “
In my opinion Baileys last line was to far no one has respect for her anymore they’re all terrified of her afraid if they stand up to her they’ll get fired
i used to like baily so much in the earlier seasons, what they has done to her character
That sound at the end had me dying laughing “uuuuuuuha” 😂😂😂
I don’t care what people say. The more cruel Bailey gets, the more I love her.
Tf..💀
girl what 😭
I definitely respectfully disagree!😜
The more cruel and spiteful Bailey gets, the more annoyed I am and also irritated by her conflicted character!
But there's one sure thing - the more IN LOVE I am with Chandra!! She's a magician!!
this was so quick and sudden i thought it was crazy!! i thought they would hire her back after meredith but they didn't and i was super confused and a little sad.
Bailey is annoying me so much this season, get over yourself
She’s so damn power hungry
How is this controversial? You act like a spoiled child and yell at your boss over a nonsense issue (that has nothing to do with you) and see how they react to it. Id put money on you not having a job by the end
Dan Something Exactly. Everyone is mad at Bailey but she’s been doing the right thing. Meredith broke the law, even if ethically it was right. Bailey has to protect her hospital.
Agreed
@@xCanYouFeelTheLovex I think most ppl are angry at the hypocriticism. Bailey did a lot of illegal stuff though ethically correct, such as transporting an organ with malignant cancer, or injecting the deactivated HIV into a kid without parent approval. Grey was TAUGHT by Bailey, and Bailey fires her for having a similar moral stance? If Bailey was a stickler for the law i'd understand, but this feels like hypocritical thinking.
@@kayvonnavi2294
But does it really tho?
Back in the Day when Bailey was in Charge of Grey and Co. as far as i remember she played strictly by the Books.
Meredith did illegal stuff long before Bailey started it and she never took the blame for it, or even aknowledged that what she did was wrong.
People should stop acting like "Oh Bailey is all hypocritical." and actually look back at the times Meredith did something amoral or outright illegal without suffering any consequences.
Honestly it was never a matter of "if" only "when" regarding Meredith being fired. It was unfortunate that Bailey was the one to pull the trigger, but honestly if it was anyone else, the same people would still be bitching.
Lmao. This isnt like working at the local walmart or some other tedious job. Imagine working your off in high school, playing a specific sport or joining specific program just so you could get into a certain college. Then as soon as you get accepted they get rid of the class or drop the program that drew you to the school. Its heartbreaking. This isnt a spoiled child, it's someone who just lost purpose. It happens.
Me and mum watched the wilds and recognised one of the kids from there and realised one was in greys🤣
yessss i didn’t realize she was in so many shows i’ve watched before
this was very satisfaying to watch
I think Bailey is Kinda jealous to Mer, coz all thw residents likes Mer, as Quadri said, she went and picked SGMW because of Dr. Grey,. like dr. helm she has a huge crush On Mer, plus the faCt she's a good a surgeon. They looked up to her. For them shes an inspiration, teacher/ mentor. I miss her in The OR, and bailey shes so rude she turned off the monitor, what kind of Chief of surgery she is.? Every patients wants Mer, cause they know hEr capalibity/ competent Doctor. Its time to kicked Bailey's ass. Lets Vote Dr. Meredith Grey to be the new Chief of Surgery.
Leilani David YES!!! I agree 100%. I mean shit even Alex did an amazing job as a temporary chief. I'd love to see Meredith as chief
@@kalynulbrich1015 that's probably how the show will end
Pretty soon it will probably just be Bailey and the cleaning staff
I don’t watch this show but I see a lot of clips and every time it seems like somebody is yelling at their boss or other superior and then getting surprised when that doesn’t go well for them.
Honestly that episode where she rips off her hijab to save a life...I wear a hijab and before seeing this I always used to think about what I would do if someone was injured/bleeding in front of me and needed something to stop it. I honestly would do the same. Love her.
Thats so nice of you, to value a life more than a piece of fabric. So generous and brave.
Please....
@@Raquel-qc8cq it’s not a piece of fabric though, it’s a symbol of her religion.
Is firing the only thing she can do? Because is the only things shes done as chief has been losing and gaining and losing doctors
Exactly!!
I would at least suspend her as she doesn't trust any of the other surgeons' judgement which is extremely dangerous
Here's what's happening... she fires & Karev hires them...improves the other hospital...
Lol remember when she was firing every other person, now she's having heart attacks over her staff finding better opportunities and moving on
I SWEAR!! THEY BETTER BRING HER BACK IN SEASON 17!!
Now you and your hero have something in common 💀😂🙌🏾 classic BCB
She is like Christina 2.0.... Razor focussed on goals & attending. Bailey is going cray cray
She is like Christina but 200% more annoying.
"Razor focussed on goals & attending"
Bitch please, she threw a petty temper tantrum because she couldn't work with her "Hero" anymore.
No. Cristina just wanted to do surgery. She didn't care who taught her.
all Cristina wanted was an attending who wanted was an attending who would teach her
Lol like christina? did you even saw the show? to compare qadri to christina is just delusional.
Thank god she fired her. The disrespect was unreal. In real life, she would have NEVER made it this far without suspension. Ridiculous.
Damn Bailey....that was COLD.
Gosh! Can someone fire Bailey too? Gets on my nerves. 🙄
I loved dr Bailey for so long now but what she became makes me hate her in a way I never thought I will she was a good character with good values who puts her patient first but now all she thinks about is how propelled see her and if she is respected by people but if she thought about something else people would respect her but now she just out there firing people everytime they don’t agree with her it shouldn’t be like that people should be able to think by themselves and speak their mind without being scared she puts a toxic ambiance in this hospital
shes truly becoming a nazi now!! please fix this character, it's not fair to portrait her like this!!
This is not the hospital who count but the doctor and surgeon, I'm pretty sure Alex could make pac north a better hospital.
She didn't fire Quadri or Meredith for disagreeing. Quadri had it coming and her attitude was dangerous in ab OR. and Bailey couldn't cover for Meredith in this one.
Coming back to this one just to say that even though I liked Qadri, I'm so glad Sophia left the show to do The Wilds. She had already shot the pilot in 2018 so it was within the realm of possibility between her and Krista from the get go. Fatin ftw!
I love bailey but every episode of season 16 I like her less and less
When medical professional is blinded by power and pride
Thank you
More like: When medical profession is blinded by fangirling over a Person who got fired because she was CAUGHT COMMITTING A CRIME. And then proceed to shit on your co-workers all day just to finish the day with throwing a childish tantrum in front of your Boss.
I STILL DONT GET HOW THEY COULD GET RID OF QADRI😭
Weeks later and I still can't beleive she's fired.
I feel bad for Qadri because SHE is the only one to stick up for Meredith. Everyone else who is family to Mer has kept quiet and not said a word. Qadri, though her character is very little, is my favorite just because of that! 💙
How can baily fire anyone she may be chief but she doesn't own the hospital seems she's on a power trip
I'm screaming, the subtitles at 1:08 hahahah
Lol
she was so right to do this. this girl was accepted in the best program of the country and she was whinning about someone who got fired instead of taking advantage of the AMOUNT of AMAZING doctors that worked there and could teach her something.
Surely she can't fire her. I don't think we've seen the last of this to be honest. I hope anyway.
100% she's going to Pac North
Yeah I know we have to look past reality in order to enjoy the show but my first thought is, this would never fly. There's a process to firing somebody for something like this; it starts with written warning.
The sneak peak of next episode shows that it is going to blow up in Bailey's face. Qadri gets a bit of revenge. 😈
Sophia Ali has a new job on a show in NZ. She was fabulous. But this was her curtain call. #greysanatomy sent their well wishes.
@@MsTJL1 actually that's Meredith who brings trouble with her article.
