Quand on es Cajun Ici, on « laisse le bon temps rouler » ! être Cajun c'est être de bons vivants. d'avoir un bonne gastronomie, la musique, la joie de vivre sont même légendaires chez nous les Cajuns ! Notre langage et le français louisianais ou français cadien, pas l'Anglais.

Happy Fat Tuesday everyone. Music is truly the universal language. You don't have to be brought up with certain types of music to really enjoy the music, I surely enjoy the music of this very talented group and would like to know more about them.

@@tomsmith5216 Being an elderly Frenchman ,having met the Doucet brothers in France fifty years ago ,having practiced Cajun music (accordion, fiddle ,and guitar for about 25 years , holding furthermore a Ph.D. in linguistics ,I do confirm that she's very good ...anyhow the Cajun French pronunciation is as diverse as you may wish ! I have been told that "Cajun" or "Louisiana" French evolved from interaction between the various inhabitants of Louisiana, including English and native Americans, and various French diakects, but retains much of the base French language, I don't know that much about it, but I love the Cajun culture and music...just wish I spoke ANY French so I coukd enjoy it more,! 🙂 Have a great day!!
