Syfy's FANGASM Preview Screening and Q&A

Saw some of the cast from SyFy's new show Fangasm when they came to a New York "Midtown Comics" store for a little preview screening of the first episode on 9-20-2013. They watched the first episode for the first time with us then they did a Q+A.afterwards. Seems like a cool show and the Cast members we met were certainly down to earth. I look forward to seeing the next episodes.
From the producer of Jersey Shore comes Fangasm -- a six-part docuseries that celebrates the incredibly unique, often misunderstood, and infinitely fascinating fan girl and fan boy culture. The show follows seven pop culture-obsessed fans (whose passions range from comic books and collectibles to science fiction and fantasy) living together in an LA apartment complex and working together at Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo. The seven must contend with each others oversized personalities and conflicting fandom as they vie for an opportunity to work within Lee's organization. Because when different passions come together, you get a real big bang.

Wanted to say how grateful I am for the show, as it tears at geek stereotypes, my guess is many were not aware that there are many types of geeks, "infinite diversity in infinite combination" it isn't one thing that makes a geek, its only their appreciation and devotion to sci-fi and fantasy genre, and there acceptance that because of that, we come together under the label of geek or nerd if not only for the single purpose to say we mattered and made a difference because we never judged you :)
