This human takes a ESS to a gun dog training class but doesn't understand the breed. No wonder she became aggressive and unpleasant. Ruby is not a brainless hunting dog. She needs to have a bigger purpose and wants to please her humans. She won't do that if she is being yelled at or abused in any way.
When walking to heel you’re letting her get control as she’s pulling away,this is then compounded by her not following commands later on,and she’s not attentive enough maybe by pushing things to quickly. Might I suggest you get her to sit,stand,stay sat at the side of you when you’re stood up, and reward each time,then get her to stand and walk her on with her head as close to your leg by holding and persuading with treats then praise and less treats.

I had a male many years ago. They love to be active! Get-em near water and they’ll play till it freezes over!
