He needs to learn how to win using a slower more relaxed style. This is how you win championships because this style does not exert a lot of energy. Then when you want to go up a gear, you switch on the fast attack. This was Lee Chong Wei's method, using the speed only when you really need to.

Chen long is the only player when his defense mode is on he can steal victory through it ...he has best legs in this game what a lower body strength he is having...as the commentator once said during the match that takes leg.
Honestly, been a long time fan of LCW, but I think he plays way too cocky against anyone beneath his level (showing he can just casually walk around, pull off ridiculous shots), but when he's up against LD or CL he just plays like shit (doesn't attack, no creativity in his shots, can't put away anything) due to some mental block. I think LCW's biggest enemy is his own hubris, and technically he has no proper defense in response to CL pushing towards the sidelines. This is evidently displayed in second set 18-19. I get LCW really wants his gold medal, but this kind of subpar, "not really trying" attitude isn't going to cut it against Chinese players who can't get to the top with that sort of attitude.
Gary Tse u are thinking the same way with me...i think when it comes to syle of play and talents...lee chong wei is the best...even ahead of lindan and chen long..just see how he toying with other world class player,walking casually, smooth backhand, stylish dive defenses(dive and still can take a moment to look at the shuttle before gets up)...but when he fights against chen long and lindan. He plays like he lack of ideas..his confident level is not as good as the Chinese players. Plus maybe because he doesnt have any good sparing partner in BAM..so he has to join almost every single tournament to keep his momentum good so that he can spar with good players..the disadvantage is, other players will recognise and read his style of play very well, since LD and CL does not play much tournament as lcw...so they can keep their style of play safe and give their best at the major world and olympics event....feel sad as a big fan of him..he may not achieve as much as LD and CL, but he is the most talented player for me. The most entertaining player..he is like ronaldinho..dont achieve much but entertains the fans so much.
