The biggest win for these is that they don't use circuit boards, so they are really cheap to make.
I could see the torpedoes having a specialty niche for backliners with torp slots like Odin and Scharnhorst META. They fire straight, are magnetic, are faster than normal, and can damage subs - all good qualities for a backliner torpedo launcher, esp in events and maybe for W14 too. Could also open up torp CAs for sub heavy content giving them some ability to contribute to screening subs.
Thank you very much for explaining how well these new gear lab augments work. I'm a little under whelmed with this current batch unfortunately. They really need to help out new players just a bit more in the gear lab stakes. It doesn't affect long term players like us so much as we already have lots of fantastic options from previous events and long term farming. There are some fantastic items to create but also some glaring holes as well.
Well, we looked at the DD gun on battleships, but how about giving it a chance on destroyers and cruisers? It looks to be the best in slot for light and heavy armor, and third best in terms of raw dps. This gun is much faster than Tashkent’s and possibly the fastest gun that is not one of the blue rarities. This means it will not only rip through shields, but also trigger procs much faster too. This may bring Kitakaze back into contention, but I don’t have her to test out. And I suspect the Dido sisters will also favor this gun.
The thing about the FW-190, is that it’s a fighter, so it won’t take up a bomber or torpedo slot. Plus, I believe that for fighters, it has the best heavy armor modifier. It’s a good slot in for ships like Yorky II, and it’ll allow them to be more viable in heavy fights if your replace the HVARs. Of course flex carriers like Shinano won’t care for this plane.
Also, the new torps are looking like best in slot for bossing, though the IB homing torpedoes still take top prize for mobbing.
Finally, we’ll apparently also be getting a “roguelike” mode at some point, though I have no idea what that is. From what I read, it’s apparently effect cards🤷♂️
People are comparing it to Slay the Spire.
Oh, and one last thing, all CL guns got a 20% damage buff. Good news for Plymouth, Seattle, the Didos, and Plymouth’s PR5 gun.
Any gold fighter with at least a 500lb bomb has a better heavy armor mod than the new FW, the biggest advantage it has over something like the Hellcat is the tighter spread and aoe which is good for bossing.
@@mintymint6485 It has consistent damage at a good multiplier. No interceptor is beating this against heavy armoured bosses.
Yeah, I found it really funny that he just glossed over the ship classes that would actually use the new Twin 100mm as a primary. Even if it had the most FP, I would never waste it on a main fleet ship, because vanguards would benefit more from the bonus FP and inherent features of the gun.
I built 3 for Dido, Scylla and Sirius and can confirm that it works extremely well. Pair them with Unicorn and QE for a further reload buff and they fire their AoAs almost constantly
@@silverhost9782 It's also great for Shima and the like, on Shima the Blue comes out to 0.49 reload and this new UR comes out to 0.66 reload at +10. The difference is that the UR does real damage as well, so it could be worth it on Ayanami and the like as well.
1:22 that gun is dual-purpose meaning is designed for anti-ship and anti-air duty. it's normal for that gun to have low FP stat
It improves the fire rate of the gold version, so it's probably works well for barrages if you don't just want the maximum fire rate, but also a bit of dmg and stats.
That FW190 seems interesting. It has bomber hunting rockets which makes me wonder if they deal any dmg to planes.
They don't, they can't intercept enemy planes just like the HVAR or the BF-109G

did a few test with the new torp, so far look pretty good for bossing. the pattern is similar to teh RN torp comming out 1 after another but it magnetic and it almost twice as fast as teh german magnetic torp. so for slow heavy armor boss, the new torp is solid against it
I already gave Portland the new CA gun and HMS jersey the AA gun. Non meta gear for non meta ships. Might as well have for collection purposes
Is the new fighter better for implacable at fighting heavy armor bosses? Or better of using flapjack or tigercat?
DD gun is pretty good for skill procking too! tho it just a tad bit slower than blue one %)

It's skill proc gun with actually good DMG output. FP and AA is also the highest anong skill proc guns.
Can you make a video compare the AP rocket fighter vs the new fighter?
That UR DD gun would be perfect for Z46 if it was AP for the amount of AA it has, lost oportunity :c

does not looks like it, on the description theres no arrow on the FP, normaly if they can intercept there is
Its ironic that they gave it rockets that were used for bomber hunting in real life, but here it cant intercept planes.
The Fw-190 has a high heavy armour damage modifier on it's rockets, it's definitely better than the HVAR and AP rocket Bf-109's for heavy armour.
Too bad they didn't release it for Queen Elizabeth META so we could see exactly what the difference was between the three.
I have the 100mm kai UR gun at +11 at the moment and the fire rate is at .68 which is only .18 slower than the blue gun at .50 fire rate with increased HE damage is a win imo. Would like better players than i to confirm but seems worth it to me
Focke Wulf pretty close! Get rid of the E in the end and say it more like Fock-"eh whatever" like a soft E without a high pitch. And the voice comes down at the end. Wulf is very similar to wolf.

Would the new UR DD gun be good on Scylla?
She wants a fast firing DD gun to max her stacks from her gold skill asap so yeah it should be good on her.
Probably BIS for her tbh, good at Light and Heavy armour while being a small bit slower at significantly more damage.
Significantly better, the UR dd is more on aa focus makes compatible with Scylla
I personally use the fuMO 25 for more fp and the gold washing machine for higher survivability (cause she buffs EVA) and also the Dido gun (AA) which gives 15 fp to further up the barrage dmg
The 4th weapon type on the iron blood fighter is indeed a rocket pod.
I kinda hoped the DD gun would be tailored for Shimakaze.
At +12, the new torps rival the gold +12 quads in speed. 21.41 vs 20.97. I’m not heavy into stats, so that may be significant to some people, but it seems ok to me ? I crafted a few for the heck of it, plus I need to finish world 14.
Maybe for Kitakaze would be better

UR dd gun only has 50 range. not really a good option for secondary guns on battleships

FW190 is a great scam. I thought it would be for bomber slot, but it is another fighter with no passive AA

The Mark 35 Torp is a straight UPGRADE over the Quad homing torps because it's non-homing Eagle damage with Magnetic and almost double the speed of current homing torps. The can hit underwater enemies is just a bonus.
