CZcams and making videos has opened up another interest for me. So, I will continue to churn out videos until it gets to much to handle. But I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Thank you for your help! I was able to program it. I ended up calling Genie as the wall console works but doesn’t light up. They’re sending a new one Friday. Also, do you know if when you walk through the safety beam, should it illuminate the two bulbs in the over head unit? It works when the beam is broken, the door does go up, but just doesn’t light up.

I know Chamberlain LiftMaster products do what you're asking. Door open, walk into the garage and the lights turn on. I don't think Genie does that unfortunately. 😔
We did exactly as you but any key in the keypad now opens or closes the garage. Help?!?!?!?!?
That's normal. Wait 30 seconds and then it shouldn't do that.

Didn’t work on genie 750 with battery backup
It should. Is it the keypad that came with it? Totally wipe out the previous try. Last step, when you're pressing the up/down arrows, press in firmly then release. Do that several times. Sometimes they don't pick up on the first press. You got this.

Got a Genie powermax 1200. Power went out at our house. When it came back on, all circuits work in the house, but this one door motor won't power up. Outlet is good. I took the board down, no shit stains, no smells, no fuse seen. Anything I can do other than replace the whole door opener?
Man bro sorry to hear that. Power out/surge could've smoked a resistor. Sometimes there's no visible marks. Other than changing out the circuit board replacement might be your best option.
you could always call Genie tech support and cross-check what I just said to verify.
Those keypads are junk.. for some reason overtime it just starts to work intermittently then the lights start to stay on constantly on the keypad. I can’t even remember how many times I have ran into this, it even happened to me
I thought I would make a video for this keypad because a 100 gazillion of them out there. I think really suck up battery juice. Everyone I run into has bad batteries, lol.
