I love the location
The desert has its moments.
I just joined your site on Patreon. I love the backgrounds for my computer and the stories. Hio did you decided on that lens?
Thank you Amber. I appreciate that. I was looking at the EF 100-400, but in my research I found an RF lens. Best of all, it had a bit more power. Being an RF lens, I knew that it was specifically designed for my Canon EOS R. Also the reviews about the sharpness of the photo were incredible. It took a bit more saving up for it, but it was worth it.
@@JasonYoder What have you used the lens for? 100mm seams like it would be a bit restrictive.
This lens is not for everyday use. I am focusing on wildlife and "micro landscapes". Landscape wise, It allows me to select out distant locations and really helps me create minimalistic photos. Right now I am planning a trip to eastern Arizona to try and photograph the endangered Mexican grey Wolf. You will also see some Lightroom tutorials in a few months with some Elk that I photographed in winter up at the Grand Canyon.
@@JasonYoder Thank you. I'll look forward to seeing those episodes. Do you do any photography classes?
Have you ever used auto ISO? I do, almost all the time. When my 100-500mm gets here, I'm sure I'll be double checking my auto ISO settings with that lens. Interesting vlog. (I don't use any of my lenses for video, subbed!)
I rarely use the auto ISO. I try to stay around ISO 100, but with the RF 100-500, I've had to go higher. The AI Denoise in Lightroom really helps improve the image quality with a high ISO photo. I am testing higher and higher ISO to see what my new limit will be. I have the control ring on the RF 100-500 set to control my ISO so changing it quickly really is an easy task.
@@JasonYoder I was never a fan of auto ISO till recently.
What made you a fan?
@@JasonYoder Less worry, and most of the time it’s pretty good at it.
I guess with the AI deniose, I should give it a try.
do you have to pay for using this feature?
Nope, it is in Lightroom. Now, I do have an annual subscription to use Lightroom so in a sense, you are paying for it their.
