they drive the shredder to fast so it cant crush it first, then it got to big parts and then it stops and backing to clear it... go slow and let it chow the hard wood... if it was plast its softer...

well the biggest problem I see here is this machine either needs lower gearing to handle material better or it needs a bigger motor or turn the gear speed up about 3-4 times so it blows threw material at a faster rate and won't struggle as much. others wise I see this being a good machine to mulch up and different things like tires wood products and even light metal products like fidges and ac units and small stuff like that to compact into a trailer for a larger load to be hauled in at once.

That's called buying the next model bigger. That machine was being fed larger material than it was designed to handle efficiently.
