    Learning this car for season 3. Came to the same conclusions:
    1. Brake earlier than you think you need and keep the car straight
    2. Basically never exceed 80% brake pressure and learn to trail brake it effectively
    3. Don’t downshift at high RPM. there’s a ton of engine brake that’ll lock the rears if you downshift early
    4. Adjust brake bias forward if you still have trouble. 90% of my lockups are rear lock from aero grip quickly decreasing during braking. You can even do this in fixed setup races.

    Great video. Very helpful. Started driving lmp3 this season. It is not an easy drive. But 2 wins out of 3 races. Very fun

    These are some really great tips. Especially the braking one. I got up to 8th in the World at Week 13 Le Mans because of how I’m braking earlier.

    Being my first yr of iRacing (S1’23), I’ve been working up an open wheel ladder and just finished USF 2000 and this along w the Indy pro 2k feels like a great handful to learn how to drive in this sim 😅

    never tried lmp3 but, sometime ago, I had the same problem in lmp2: spinning in downshifting. My breaking time and trailbraking were ok, I tried to downshift in low engine rpm but no way: spinning (in low downforce scenario).
    Then I find out the problem: brake bias too low. Engine break locks rear tires, so your brake bias can't be too low, otherwise you'll spin since breaking forces exceeds the maximum grip available

    This car requires you to have a very steady rhythm with braking and downshifting if you want to maximize your speed through the corners, it's a lot of fun!

    Btw, I’m learning now on real LMP3 for the next season and you make a mistake : don’t brake when you got some throttle on -> you put weight on rear and you lose the effect of transfer weight to the front. Less weight = understeering as you know. Btw the balance of the car is bad, because the rake is disturbed.

    I understeer mostly in the fixed setup, the fronts just don't grab
