Thanks for the reply about the KXO40-4. I think I’m going with the 33-3. By I was wondering what kind of stumps/trees and sizes you can pull out with out digging up. I have mixed timberland that was harvested then grew wild. So I’m wanting to clean it up and dig out the stumps they left behind. As well as the electric and water company’s leave behind as well. Hardwoods include Black locust, Bois d’Arc, Eastern Red Cedar, Oak and Hickory. Soft woods are mainly Pine and Sweet gum. I also have some Dogwoods and Redbuds I’d like to transplant to better locations. So just trying to figure out if it’ll do most of these. Also I’m in Rocky iron-ore soil. About the biggest rock I’ve came across was about 2’x2’x8”. My 55 hp tractor moved it fine. I’m subscribing to check out all you videos to see what it can do. I’m doing mine for personal use and maybe an occasional side job for a friend. But not planning on running it as a business. You running yours as a business? Thanks again.
I’m not running mine as a business. I have natural limestone rocks that I’m stacking for a retaining wall that are 600-1000lbs each. I haven’t videos much of it but I could video it today if you’re interested. I can move all the rocks, but the big ones really need to be done up close to the front blade, and sometimes even leveraged off the front blade The biggest stumps were probably maple, 30” in diameter and I definitely needed to dig around them to pull them up. In fact, I had to knock the dirt off to be able to lift them
Nice machine, I’m looking at the same one. What sized bucket did you get? I noticed the thumb tines mesh with your bucket. I’m told not every sized bucket meshes with the thumb
@@beardedgarage awesome. I’m looking at the 24” bucket. Honestly, im having a hard time between the kx033 and kx040. Not a massive price difference but im more concerned with the regen not being as reliable on the higher hp motor.
@@beardedgarage DPF Filter Regen. Anything over 26hp (I think) has to have a DPF filter. Many have said that the extra EPA stuff tends to reduce engine life, but that could be a myth.
@@toddallison4390 DPF I thought was 25hp, but either way the 33 is just under that. I looked for a long time before I got mine and frankly availability was a big part in my choice. My local shop had a kx-033 on the lot and I could take it immediately
@@beardedgarage Probably means the operator pattern. Sometimes called Backhoe or excavator pattern , there's a pattern selector to switch between ISO/SAE. I learned on a backhoe so run in that mode. Have the same machine .Enjoyed the vid thanks.
Looks like fun.

Also around 9:04 I noticed what looked like a fuel cap in the tire ruts, just to the left of your drive stick, through the bottom glass.
I just rewatched it. Looks like the left arm rest
I was wondering what happened to you. I have gone me one now, just a canopy model one, 50 hours already on it.

I think mine came standard with a 16”bucket

how can i operate that machine in backhoe mode. Thanks
I’m not sure I understand what backhoe mode means. What are you looking for?

There's a lever in the operator station to change pattern. Easy to do for different operators.
@@particularlybad ahhh! That makes sense. Under the seat there’s a lever that switches from bobcat to cat controls.
