Love ur channel
I've been watching u for a long time and i love ur videos
Dave, your a legend! No clickbait, no effing around. Just straight to the point. You’re probably my favourite LifeHack/Gadget YTer!
The thumbnail is kinda clickbait cause of the warning and then the arrow
@@danvino1239 The video contains exactly what the title says and the thumbnail shows. Clickbait is misleading. There's no clickbait here.
you know where you are with dave - you get the music, you get the voice, you get the gadgets! 😄
Agreed 👍
@@danvino1239that’s not how that works bro
Oh my, you've just taken a 60 year old back to her childhood and into her mothers kitchen. I remember my mam had the hand whisk (used weekly as she baked every week, the multi mouligrater (used at every opportunity I could think of to get it out the box, my fav item as a kid), the tomato matic (used mainly around party time/christmas when we were having buffets) and then the saw (I never actually seen it being used, it just sat in it's box on a shelf in the pantry). Thanks for the memories😁👍
Oh wow, how amazing you remember so many of these gadgets! Thanks for sharing your memories of them. All the best.
the amount of times dave said " vicious " lol
and 1970s 😂
some of those kitchen gadgets are better than modern ones fr
Some old plastics probably contain BPA.
My same thoughts fr that first thing was dope for back then
Agree
The last gadget is exactly what the Olive Garden uses to grate cheese, but only used the last blade. They sell them at their restaurants also.
You can also get them pretty much anywhere kitchen supplies are sold, I got one for my dad as a father's day gift like 15 years ago from a Walmart
I tried getting one at Olive Garden and they said they couldn’t because they didn’t have enough graters
“DAVE JUST USE A KNIFE!” From the, “Are kitchen gadgets better than a knife?” video from November 2022. “Pretty cool huh?”
My fav video of dave❤❤❤
Wouldn't be much of a video if he just chopped things with a knife 😂
We have a Mouli grater. It's stainless steel.
It was my grandparents. Now, my mom has it.
Then, it'll be mine eventually.
Still works like a charm. The older stuff usually does compared to new stuff today.
We always use it when we make pimento cheese. We always use the fine grater insert.
Forgotten happy childhood memories unlocked with that whisk! Thanks Dave ❤
My granny had the multi grater which my mum bought for her at the Ideal Home Exhibition, I think in the late 60’s. She used to love when I stayed over on a Saturday night so she could peel the carrots, turnip etc and I could use the multi grater and she could start her huge pot of soup for the whole family coming for Sunday dinner. The only alternative then was a hand grater which was hard work when you had a lot of veg.
I have the tomato flower cutter thingy! It came in a party set that my mother bought in the 80s! It still works great...but we only ever use it if we have big dinner parties which happens once every blue moon 😅😂
50+ year old gadgets that actually work a lot better than most of the gadgets we have in this day and age.
Kitchen Robot seems great for everything except peeling.
I used to watch your channel about 10 years ago when I was a kid, just rediscovered it, thank you for never changing.
I've still got my grandmothers hand whisk like you used here. It's great. I don't have to take out a big electric thing for smaller tasks. It's easy as heck to clean. And it's so easy to turn. You'd think something like that that's over 35 years old would give you alittle trouble, but no, it turns with almost no resistance it's amazing.
These are all amazing, the quality is evident by how long they lived
[Kitchen, robot.] makes my day, thanks Dave!
I always have a soft spot for vintage gadgets! Some time they just cant be beaten!
Only found your channel recently, but im glad i found you! Keep up the good work man. You're keeping the traditional style of video making in the early 2010's strong
This is so nostalgic for some reason
Someabout DaveHaxs' videos give me nostalgia, it just feels like old youtube videos❤
You’re a living legend, Dave, you never fail to entertain us and never click bait ❤
Word of the day: Vicious.
Onlyrecently my mum purchased that very hand saw for frozen foods at a charity shop.
I found it was the only thing that i could cut my frozen blocks of Herring roe's. Loved it.
I also think it would work great for steaks that are thinner. Because he had a steak (I think) that was very thick
I've been watching ever since you made the OG flaming pumpkin and carrot recorder videos, you never fail to entertain me and it's cool how you've kept the same music for the videos. Keep up the awesome work, it has been a pleasure to see this channel grow. 💪
Never thought i'd see "brand new" and "vintage" in the same title
Finally, new DaveHax video
Just yesterday I was thinking about the hand powered whisk, they worked so quick.
You can put the kitchen robot on a bowl when slicing vegetables. The sides are made for it.
You can still buy the moulinex grater. There are other brands too.
Random facts for you:
If you want to speed the video up to 2x for a short time on a mobile device, you could hold one side of the screen and it’ll go 2x
Old products are very durable than new products.
My mum had one of thosextomato cutters. I took it to school once for a Home Ec class and won a prize for 'presentation'. Thanks for the memory! Earns a like!
with the kitchen robot, I think you put in the single blade upside down and that's why you had some trouble with it cutting ^^
That saw looks like it should be on a set of a horror film 😮
Beautiful old gadgets
Idea: vintage vs new kitchen gadgets
I remember my grandparents had that Tomato O Matic at 3:39 in the 90s 🥰
They even had that Multi Mouligrater at 12:55, only in metal instead 🥰
We had one of those multi/mouli-graters at home when I was a kid. Really cool to see it here, super handy!!
We had a mouli grater when I was growing up. It only had one drum that couldn't be swapped out and we used it exclusively for cheese. I've been looking for one for over a decade and now that I finally know what it's called, I can get one again. I loved that thing
0:30
"Dude, you have a sealed Tomat'o'matic?!"
I love the Kitchen Robot from Solingen
Davehax your my favourite legend
CZcamsr▶️💖❣️😄
The way he says kitchen robot is actually legendary
Great to see another video from you Dave. Loved, loved, loved the vintage gadgets. I remember using a few of them as a kid. Now if only they'd make a new version of that Kitchen Robot with either a safety glove or something to safely hold the produce while cutting.
Dude knows what he's doing. been watching for a while.
It's a pretty cool 3:08AM when Dave uploads
No surprise that the kitchen robot is good at its job. German engineering at its finest.
Great video! I have that moulinex grater from my grandma and I still use it often instead of all the electrical kitchen devices. Also the mixer is very handy for doing quick mixing jobs. Nothing wrong with old devices, only thing you will need some muscle power!
Always watching your videos and i love 'em so much
Thanks so much!
There are modern versions of a couple of these things that I know of - the rotary whisk and the grater thing with the "barrel type" attachments. It would be interesting to compare the "modern" version and the older version.
Yes indeed! I've used the modern mouli grater in a recent video and I was wondering about doing a comparison video. Thanks for letting me know it's something you'd be interested in, I'll plan out a video, so watch this space..
@@DaveHax Thanks Dave, I will look out for it 🙂
Im like half convinced you make these before lunch, two birds with one stone.
I just love the hand powered whisk! Such a good combination between the regular one and the electric
That tomato gadget was really cool!
Have a mouli grater almost exactly the same as that. Remember playing with it as a kid haha
My dad has a great trick for sawing frozen meat: use a regular, small-toothed saw
Beavis: heheh… Hey butthead who is this Dave hax dude? Hehehe…
Butthead: I think he does life hacks or something huhuhuhu…
Beavis: Hehehe… oh yeah yeah yeah hehehe….
Dave hax: (snaps carrot) It snapped it off…
Butthead: Huhuhu… He said it snapped off hehehe….
Beavis: yeah hehehe…
You really make my day,Dave ❤❤
Mouli grater was quite popular at my home. Still have one.
it's great that since 2012 he do the same style of video, editing and song without changes! ( some youtubers change how they make videos through the years.) im glad that you still do the same thing since 2012, the only thing that matters is the content
edit : is not sarcasm, i really like that he didn't changed
Dave... Never change please
This guy is still uploading at the age of 54. Absolute legend
Some of the kitchen gadgets are so useful and useful
Bro, got that .Input the original Ford Horn aound effect* Ahh, car💀
I have a programming competition tomorrow and I'm not sleeping to watch this. :-)
Omg, I remember watching you many many years ago. You’re a legend!!
Oh thanks!
Oh I used to own one of those Hand whisks! Despite it rusting slightly, it was amazing to use ❤
I remember the lemon squeezer in my parents' kitchen from at least fifty years ago, and as far as I know they're still using it, although admittedly they juice citrus fairly infrequently.
My electric grater has the same parts in it, but of course it's electric which is less work. I remember having to turn the little handle on my mom's manual mixer for eggs, etc. My favorite utensil would be the tomato slicer making those cute designs in the tomato. Good job finding interesting things for us to see, Dave. I like your accent too, since I'm in the U.S.
These were great. I especially love the lemon juicer
THAT WAS PRETTY COOL
As a French that as grown-up with "mouli graters" ... I dont think we ever used it on something else than cheese 😂 Now I shall ask all my friends and family to know if they use it on anything else than cheese 😅
Could use the tomato thing for hard-boiled eggs too, Dave. My dad uses a real saw to cut frozen meat.
Dave your legendary man, thank you for an actual good CZcamsr!
you see this proves older stuff is better than the newer stuff sometimes
honestly might ask if you can look into trying older gadgets of all sorts and compare to modern versions
Absolutely, I plan to look for some more old stuff and compare with modern. Any suggestions welcome...
“Pretty cool huh“ nostalgia 🥹
"It's definitely old...1970's, so around 50 years old"
Wait, hold on, I was born in '78 😳 Ouch! Cheers Dave! 😅😂
you somehow managed to feel the same way 11 years ago
the saw may seem like it's more trouble than its worth, but i can see it being useful! i do large grocery trips, so i buy large things of meat to freeze and use later. usually, i separate them into portions while thawed, but being able to cut and thaw smaller pieces would be useful! plus, you could use a thick hand towel to hold the meat, as well as placing one under the meat so it doesn't slip as much! it may not be for everyone but i can see how it would be useful
I need my big box of bandaids just looking at most of these. Well done! Admire your courage ;p
Dave saids: "Hey kitchen robot can you chop up some food for my disco party".
kitchen robot saids: "why of course Dave I'm super sharp".
I wonder what the next New DaveHax video be?. Maybe he'll be Reviewing The Flintstone's Kitchen Gadgets Next.😎👍💯
these NEED to come back
Thank you for coming back.I've been waiting for another episode❤❤❤❤❤
My Grandma will be like this is the type of stuff I had when younger
They all look pretty good. My mom had a mouli grater but we only used it to make bread crumbs. I think we still have it I'm not too sure.
Your one of the best youtubers I have been watching you for 3 years!
Kitchen Robot cannot be beat!
Dave is a legend
My grandparents had a full steel mouligrater. If it wasn't for the rivets giving up they'd have it forever I guess
Legend forever.
Dave... Ur the best life/food hacks/gadget youtuber❤❤❤ i wish u reach 10M for the diamond button I WANT TO SEE IT❤❤❤(no rush)
CONTEXT: Ive been watching ur videos since 2013 so give me a heart plsss🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks so much. Hopefully one day!...
was hoping you'd use tbe tomato flower gadget for cucumber or potato but ah well..keep it up my guy!!
oh, tou could also use that saw to cut bread
The last I remember having one of those and it was great to use
I had that Mouli as a kid and the only other place I've seen them is at Italian restaurants where they crank out the parmesan fresh
Safty concerns aside, that Kitchen Robot is a great piece of early 20th century engineering. Versatile and it works great for most applications.
I was disappointed you didn't try to grate any cheese though with it or the grater.
Thanks for the feed back. I may try it with other produce in a follow up at some point.
The oldest newest vintage is clearly a knife, pretty cool right.
I got a metal one of those muli graters and i haven't seen a better grater since
If the kitchen robot is still made, I would love to see a follow up video testing out a newer one.
I am planning on doing a new vs old video, but I haven't seen a new version of the Kitchen Robot. Where did you see it?
My Asian mom(🇵🇭) would love this😂❤
I'm pretty sure the mouli grater, or at least near-identical products, are still in production. Hell, I'm pretty sure the "salad shooter" from the 90s was just an electric one.
Edit: yeah, exact same thing is on sale at walmart for $14 USD.
I definitely grew up with a lot of those gadgets I still have a few actually I still have the M. grater and I use it!!! Awww memories!!!😅😊😊
