@@sonicartzldesignerclan5763 Fears can still be irrational. Plus the fear that comes from being in the ocean like my fear comes from not knowing where I am or what lurks below in the briny deep that I have no escape from.

My worst fear is being stranded in the middle of the ocean, the clouds turn black and rain hard, the ocean turns black,masive waves come and you dont know whats under the ocean

The first game reminds me of the game raft, waking up in the middle of the ocean with no prior knowledge. It’s pretty scary if you think about it

Fun fact: Most people think of giant sea monsters when it comes to thalassophobia but thats not the case, thats a different phobia, I think its called megalothalassophobia, thalassophobia is the fear of deep water, e.g. stuck win the middle of the ocean, you duck your head under water you see a giant void which anything could be hiding in deciding wether or not to claim you as dinner

Me as a person who has Thalassophobia i see that as an absolute Nightmare

The top to bottom of my fears
1. Thalassophobia (fear of the ocean)
2. Nyctophobia (Fear of Darkness)
3. Automatonophobia (fear of mannequins and real life looking figures/dolls)
4. Megalophobia (fear of big things)
5. Megalohydrothalassophobia (fear of large things underwater. Such as, whales, shipwrecks, reefs)
6. Xenophobia (fear of the unknown)
7. Scopophobia (fear of being looked at or watched)
How I got all those fears are from Subnautica, a show that made a mannequin move and grab somebody that I watched as a kid. It wasn’t a funny movie. It was Hannah Montana, always been afraid of the dark, scary ass traumatizing videos of people being killed/followed. Basically most of them are from Subnautica.
That’s a very solid list :)
Being trapped inside of a submarine while having no idea where to go is pretty horrifying if you ask me.

My worst fear is just being in any kind of deep body of water or like just submerged underwater, and not the way you think like there’s nobody to help me the water won’t let me out, and I hear sounds, and my feet are dangling above an abyss, there’s nothing to hide my feet on top of or under eye am fully exposed. That is just my biggest fear.

There’s something about seeing giant monsters in the sea that just makes me want to move to Mars
So Subnautica was a mix of fear and story kind of. Subnautica below zero was story and no fear. What does that mean for Subnautica 2

Talking about dreams.. i used to have one as kid where i’d just be floating all alone in an empty ocean with nothing around me, plus I couldn’t see where i was. That was a legit nightmare for me.

I have a mild to mid thalassophobia mainly because I can't swim and if I were to somehow fall in the ocean I would most likely drown and subnautica's one my favorite games but that amplifies my fear to depending on where I am in the game to high because I am constantly on alert because I have no idea what is in the waters with me and how close they are to me like I get extremely scared.
Oh yeah I bet having a hard time swimming would definitely make the fear worse :)

In the first one something that big would probably not care abojt a tiny raft, it would probably be out looking for whales, so its technically safe to be around things that big as long as you dont annoy them

It probably surfaced to stop the whale from escaping.

The first one seems pretty cool. Maybe if it is a little bit longer without the monster? Just you, the ocean, the raft and endless floating. Maybe a whale from time to time and huge waves.
The second one was okay'isch. The third one I dislike. Way to much to do and way to stressful.
