KOF 2002 UM (Unlimited Match) Battle Intro and Omega Rugal Ending - Requirements

- Okay, since I haven't seen anyone upload the requirements to fight the mid-bosses/final boss. I figure why not?
Anyway, here's the battle intro versus all characters. I noticed I missed some, but if you're a KOF fanatic, you should know the requirements to fight (Insert mid boss here).

For entertainment purposes only. King of Fighters (c) belong to SNK Playmore
Requirements to fight these mid bosses:
Angel and Foxy - Finish the 4th stage with a normal or special move.
Kyo-1 - Finish the first 3 of 4 stages with a DM (Desperation Move.) If you want, finish all 4 stages with a DM only. No combos.
Kyo-2 - Finish the first 3 of 4 stages with a DM. But end the 4th stage with a special combo and end it with a DM without using a MAX stock.
KUSANAGI - Finish the first 3 of 4 stages with a DM. End the 4th stage doing a BC MAX stock cancel and ending with a DM.
Kula Diamond - At least 2 stages must end with a SDM. (Super Desperation Move)
Nameless - At least 2 stages must end with an HSDM (Hidden Super Desperation Move, also known as MAX 2.)
Final Bosses:
Krizalid - End the 5th stage normally without using a DM.
Clone Zero - End the 5th stage with a DM, regardless of MAX stock.
Original Zero - End the 5th stage with a SDM, regardless of MAX stock cancel.
Igniz - End the 5th stage with a HSDM. (MAX 2)
Special Battle vs Omega Rugal - Defeat the boss when only one character. If unsuccessful, you can use a regular desperation special to finish the boss with your two last characters. Anything else will send you to the credits page without an ending.

Note how the NESTS bosses ascend in power:
99: Fight Krizalid deep underground
2000: Fight Zero on the surface
2001: Fight O. Zero in the sky
2001: Fight Igniz in outer space
And Omega Rugal???

Pretty much. I've always had the thought that they were themed in terms of Krizalid being somewhat of a demon (or fallen angel), C.Zero representing a mortal, Zero himself representing a demigod or angel, and Igniz bring clearly symbolized as a god. I doubt much of it really holds true, besides Krizalid and Igniz.

lol It's almost as if the game loses hope for the you when you reach Omega Rugal.
I also like how each time you beat a boss, you move up until you reach outer space.
Here a requirement
Mid boss

OMG tnx bro, I had already finished the game about three times and I was wondering why I couldn't unlock Rugal
I like the fact all of the final stages say "Good Luck To You" but Rugals stage it says "Do The Best You Can" as if to say your allready fucked lol
Rugal is the easiest of the 2002UM bosses though. His AI is too predictable.
@@TheTrueBro yeah I get that he's more predictable but then again we've dealt with him a few times by this point so we know what to expect. The NESTS bosses are still pretty fresh compared to 2002um rugal but he's still a tough fight

I love how echoed Kyo-2's voice is in 4:33.
The voice lines of Kyō-1 and Kyō-2 are from Kyō from KOF '98, those voice lines were used in KOF '99, thus Real Kyō had new ones in said KOF title.
Igniz should have been introduced the same way Rugal was.

Hi Aznpikachu, i have a problem with Rugal ,after i defeat Krizalid with one character,and even finish him with SDM with two character remain,i can't get "Special Battle"...All wat i got is the voice actor menu....Why!!?Still i miss something?

You need to be in max mode and low on health
For the Omega Rugal Battle you must also not lose more than 3 rounds trough the entire game, if you lose 4 or more rounds or use a continue, then Omega Rugal will not appear after beating the normal boss.

venom long Your Krizalid must be the last character standing to defeat the boss in order to access Omega Rugal's special battle. No straight victories allowed.

I'm confused by the description on how to fight Rugal. When you mean one character, do you mean it has to be a 1 on 1 single character battle, or are you supposed to defeat the boss with the first character you choose from the order select?
+Derly Martinez You have to defeat the boss without a teammate loss, or defeat a boss with a super move.

Derly Martinez Finish any of the NEST bosses on your first try, using no continues and finishing with a SDM, MAX SDM, or a MAX 2.
@@aznpikachu215 What about the PC version? The requirement doesn't seem the same, I've done it multiple times and Omega Rugal refuses to show up.

장연수 That was back when he was alive though in KOF 94. He is power hungry, that is the best way to put his storyline. Which is why he uses the Orochi power which kills him in 95. But no, he is not "head" of NESTS lol.

He was dead in 95 forever. 98, 98 UM, 2002 and 2002 UM doesn't have a story. As you can see there's NESTS clones and bosses which have been destroyed before.

Because it's a "Dream Match," so storylines do not exist.
If you want a match between two decreased chars like Igniz and Rugal, well there is it, the Dream Match.

chuyoXD Se supone que ganandole al jefe NEST que hayas sacado con 1 solo personaje. Pero ya lo hice y no funcionó. T.T... asi que supongo que ganandole al jefe NEST con un SDM
para sacarlo no debes de tener continues, ni haber perdido 4 o mas rounds en el transcurso de las peleas y tienes que vencer al jefe con tu primer personaje o con un sdm de los otros 2. asi sale rugal y ojo...si te mata se acabo el juego ya que con el no hay continues y tienes que volver a empezar desde el principio.
@@jm2566 Sobre lo que vi, en realidad no puedes perder 1 round, pero no he jugado el juego para descobrir si esso es cierto.
