Didn’t c418 move on to do other things in life? Plus, if he made way more songs for Minecraft, it would become over saturated and we wouldn’t think as highly of him as we do now

As someone who played since the PS3 version first came out, it has definitely gone down hill after Microsoft bought them.
The game wouldn't be so "child" friendly and more sandbox without pointless rulea
minecraft story mode would probably still be avalible (obviously no third season still because telltale went bankrupt) and alot of things wouldve been different if microsoft didnt buy mojang

Something to note about notch is that after release 1.0, he stopped being the main game lead. I think that means most the feature updates would be similar, if not the exact same we have now, at least until 1.13. I think a more interesting scenario would be if notch never stepped down after 1.0

When people talked trash to Notch, nobody bat an eye, but when he started to talk, everyone lost their mind.
The editing is getting wayyyyyy better, congrats!
I know it since alpha the game have made many improvements, but the „desperation“ for new content is like a big hole you can not escape.
As someone who has played since 1.7.3 beta, i can say i miss the passion that used to be put into this game. Every update delivered felt so passionate, and you could see the painstaking work into delivering a good update. After Microsoft bought it, the game turned into more of a brand. Its been branched out into 2 or 3 other games that almost noone plays, and have no similarities to the original game aside from having the same assets, and we get mob votes where the devs add the most useless mobs that provide nothing to the game.
That being said, i miss nostalgic Minecraft. Im glad we have crossplay through bedrock edition (thats a whole different video discussion tbh), but aside from that, the game has just been monetized grossly and have disgusting chat moderation. Minecraft is a fun game, but as a java player, theres nothing Microsoft has done to fund mojang that the modding community hadnt done already, and most often, better.
Still, after playing this game for over a decade, I miss all the old memories i had on smp servers in the janky block game i once loved.
Then it wouldn’t be going on a downfall trend due to crap updates and stupid a chat report system.
Pretty underrated, Judging by this showed up in my recommended (Someone who mainly watches other games like terraria) I think it's gunna blow up! Good luck

I believe it has been a good thing, ultimately. Microsoft greatly increased accessibility to the game. And Microsoft accounts are way safer than Minecraft of Mojang accounts. Most of the recent "modern minecraft" updates haven't been great, but that's got almost nothing to do with Microsoft.
I play minecraft on my ti-83
“Microsoft’s Bedrock Edition”, you proceed to mention pocket edition, which is bedrock. Bedrock is just PE with a poorly made UI slapped on that fits slightly better for desktop and they compiled for all platforms and called it a day. Microsoft did not create bedrock edition, they renamed it and published it on other platforms, it was already there.

We would still have actual updates and the game wouldn't be invaded by 0yo's with hydrofluoric acid in place of a brain.
If Microsoft didn't purchase Minecraft, we wouldn't get Bugrock Edition, and its a fat good thing. Crossplay is cool and all, but execution of it is total garbage, legacy console editions were so much better, but now we at the risk of losing even original Java edition Minecraft at some point because of this piece of garbage called "Minecraft Bedrock", or just "Minecraft" in Microsoft's eyes
