Thank you Nishan for reminding us how beautifully endowed our motherland is. Full of nostalgia as we try to connect the dots from the present down into our history. Here you have opened the window for us to glance into the recipe that brought forth our present cultural dispensation. A rich culture that transcends generations and thriving right among us. Haven't been to Lamu yet but now i long to pay my respect by a visit once i go back to Kenya.
Visited Lamu in 2014, was working nearby, a nice place, very hot though and good for swimming. As a Kenyan, I have very good, kind Ethiopian friends where I am now. I will subscribe because of the friendship and your good work. We as Africans can grow together by supporting each other and not competing. Beautiful work.
Kenya and Ethiopia are best friends. I love that citizens of both nations can stay in the other country visa-free for up to one year, no questions asked. We're only rivals on the running track 🏃🏿♀

You guys want to visit Mombasa. I was there with my kids in April 2022 Easter time and visited Fort Jesus and learnt so much history even though I lived in Mombasa most of my life. It was an amazing experience history of how the locals defended Mombasa and defeated the European invasion. We also took the ferry from Mombasa to Likoni as well as enjoyed the LightHouse and Mama Ngina Drive.
Just found your channel today and you got a new subscriber. Dope video and whilst i have been to Kenya i have never been to Lamu. Must put it on my bucket list and Babu is a real gem. You don't find people like him everyday. Big up
Thank you for sharing Nishan. 🙏🙏 Africa had many beautiful places and i would not be able to see all these places in this lifetime. Good luck in all your travels and please keep sharing. 😊
Lamu and Harrar might have actually had some connections in the past. A ton of Bajuni of Lamu have Ethiopian/Somali DNA and some of it might have come from Harrar.
@@markmark-lz8ii Not only a claim. I've seen some Bajuni DNA test results from Lamu who had like 23% Ethiopian & 22% Somali. Might be some Harar DNA. So they do have direct ancestry from Ethiopia/the Horn.
@@markmark-lz8ii It's not research per se, just a DNA test anyone can take. For Northern Swahili it comes up with a lot of Ethiopian DNA per 23 and me.
I enjoyed watching this Video and looking forward for the next one. It was also my first time heard of LAMU. I’m Currently in the USA planning to visit East African next year, and Kenya will be our first Stop.
Awesome coverage Nishan. We need more people like Babu! What a great giver of love and courtesy! The clip with a window open was too close for comfort. We lost a tourist in South Africa on similar scenes. be careful Nishan - we need you LIVE! Kwaheri but "See you soon".... by the way you must hire me on your next strip so that you do not need to worry about capturing the scenes...😎😎😎
You are such cute diamond 💎jewel and best reporter. Iam a Kenyan who never traved to Lamu I have been to Mombasa and Malindi but because of you I must visit Lamu and also Babu is a good history narrator of which I have learned alot about our cost County. Ia waiting for your next videos.
