      Oh... I bet they do Reuben. And the time invested along with R&D is probably impressive... but, you have to know what the market can and will pay for, well anything. Not everyone can afford a Mercedes ... and not everyone wants a Ford Focus. You need to identify that sweet spot... then engineer & produce accordingly.

    • @reubenriddell6462
      @reubenriddell6462 Před 2 lety +3

      @@stephenlennartz3466 to a degree, I completely agree with you. But then with that notion in mind, should a company sit down and think of the best ways to create/design etc to suit and fit into the bracket of the market that more people can afford or put together the best product they can with ideas and materials etc, costing a little bit more but the finishing product they believe in? In the most polite way, I don't think Mercedes really care about the people after a Ford Focus. I definitely can't afford a Mercedes but I've had my eye on this pedal since I saw the release, saved the moolah and she's on the way. Have the Light pedal, Plasma and Plus...They're amazing. Looking forward to this one ☝

      @@stephenlennartz3466 That theory certainly does apply to the next big clean boost or delay pedal, and it will also apply to the first people to make knock offs of this new Bigsby technology. For now, it seems expensive, especially to those who only have 1 guitar. People who own half a dozen guitars, that they don't want to drill holes in, are going to call this a pretty good deal, as long as it doesn't break down.
      They only seem expensive. I doubt many people are going to buy one, and then sell it a week later. It is more than just the flavor of the week.
      There will be many "real musicians" that will come to wonder how they ever got by without one of these on their board. Regardless of what type of music they play. This list will include the purist, who often never use any pedals at all

      @clarkbabin9799 Před rokem

      They obviously haven't priced a guitar with an on board conventional Bigsby 5 or greater. Or what it would cost to buy a Bigsby and have it installed. This seems to do everything you can expect from a Bigsby and more . I'm looking at it hard.

  • @NeoSoulquarian
    @NeoSoulquarian Před 2 lety +5

    This pedal is pretty amazing. It is not the same as a whammy although there are some similarities. The thing I love the most is that you can turn any electric string instrument into not just an instrument with a bigsby, but one that has more bending capabilities than a bigsby. You can get very wide bends like a floyd rose, or shorter bends like a bigsby and it is also very versatile in the effects you can apply outside of just its realistic tremolo effect. Don't knock it if you havent looked into it. 😎👍

    I think the coolest the thing about this pedal is the ability to have a bigsby on 7, 8, or 9 string guitars or other instruments like banjo or bass. Don't have one yet but plan to get one

  • @TheMrCull
    @TheMrCull Před 2 lety +2

    I think this is awesome! Haters gonna hate. I don’t care for vibrato bridges as I prefer tuning stability. This would be a cool mimick of that!

  • @JulienOmeyer
    @JulienOmeyer Před 2 lety +6

    To everyone saying it is the same pedal as a whammy, and that it is overpriced : I have owned a whammy for more than 20 years, and these two effects are just, well, two different effects.
    If you have ever played a guitar with a bigsby, you will get that feeling, with the same spring bringing everything back when you release it. A whammy doesn’t do this.
    And the sound is also very different…
    Anyone wanting to get a Bigsby on several guitars will find this GCA pedal is much cheaper ! And it does so many more things, and it keeps your guitar in tune.

    • @GamechangerAudio
      @GamechangerAudio  Před 2 lety +1

      All very awesome points! Thank you for the comment!
      The spring-loaded foot pedal really is something our engineers tried to mimic as close to the feel of a real BIGSBY Tremolo arm as possible. It's a very different feeling to be playing with a pedal that pushes back.

      Is it better to own ten guitars, fitted with trem systems, or 1 tremolo that will fit onto 10 guitars? This pedal might cost a lot of money, but that is not to say they are expensive, especially for those who own more than 1 instrument with a pick-up in it.
      Imagine having a tremolo on your acoustic guitar, violin or banjo, as well as your LP and your Telecaster. All of a sudden, it is not so expensive anymore.

    Where can I buy that midi connector or an ac plug for this pedal ?

    • @GamechangerAudio
      @GamechangerAudio  Před rokem +1

      Hey there again! The BIGSBY Pedal can be powered only with a standard pedal power supply - a center-negative polarity with 9V DC and at least 250mA. Barrel plug - 2.1 x 5.5 mm. Using power supplies with a higher voltage (V) will damage the effects unit.
      Regarding the MIDI cable - Type A 3.5mm to TRS to 5-pin MIDI.

      In all fairness though, that’s cheaper than a bigsby unit (just the unit alone, not install, permanently modding you guitar, etc). Plus this is an expression pedal, whammy, polyphonic pitch shifter, and more. Seems like a completely reasonable price to me considering all that.

      Imagine putting a Bigsby on your expensive LP - without having to drill any holes or fussing with set-up issues.
      Imaging putting a Bigsby on your acoustic guitar....
      Imagine being able to pull up on your Bigsby - without breaking strings or ruining your instrument.
      All for the cost of 1 cheap guitar. It seems like a very useful pedal to me. No one will notice a thing if I swap my Bad Monkey for a Tube screamer or even a Clon.
      But to put a Bigsby on my violin, or my harp, or my Jim Dandy, with out modding any of those instruments at all, certainly qualifies to be called "Game Changer"

    • @gazzie12000

      If you watch the 2 demo videos you'll see it does SO much more than a Bigsby does. I love Bigsbys and have them on a lot of my guitars, but this does the basic Bigsby stuff and an absolute ton of other things. Personally I think it's a bargain!

    Requiring a separate footswitch to latch the pitch parameter is a little ridiculous

  • @conordyer2307
    @conordyer2307 Před rokem

    What a ripoff,
    for half the price
    - I bought 2 duesenberg les trem 2,
    ( £160- for both, which can be added and removed every string change if I wanted or if I wish to sell the guitar)
    For utility I got 2 wilkinson roller bridges (£30)
    And 4 sets of after market pickups- vanson alnico 2 humbuckers and p90s, wilkinson alnico 5 soapbar p90s and artec 3 lipstick pickup set for a strat (£165 total)
    After years of getting gibson, ibanez, fender, schecter guitars....I decided to try modding cheaper harley bentons to learn and found that specific brands I listed above and tonerider etc all make quality pickups that sound as good as the expensive ones in my les paul and fender etc....and realised theres so much bs going on and I overspend on many of my purchases as I didnt understand how electric guitars actually worked and how the parts were made.
    So for not much extra than your one pedal I got variety in tones and 2 trems that are super practical.
    Too many companies are overcharging nowadays for gear because of the name, gimmick or snake oil myths they perpetuate maintain these high costs - like theres something magic in their pickups when it's just wire, plastic and magnets, or tonewood in electric guitars
    Technically I could buy 4 les trem ii for the same price as your bigsby pedal but many of my guitars have floyd rose, edge, or traditional fender/ 2 point trems already...
    And there are 4 guitars I have that are stop tail bridge meaning I can change my mind as to what guitar has the trem and roller bridge and itll sound more real than your pedal.....
    Also boss gx100 is £500- and provides greater utility and 100+ more effects than for what you charge for 1 pedal and can replicate the bigsby effect anyway,
    Pretty sad to see you targeting a specific crowd rather than making pedals for actual musicians.
