Awesome! did that after the first year of 8000km on my motor with SHC100, as it was starting to make a deep humming sound. Quiet now as on day one.

Hey mate, how did it looks after 8000km without a regrease?
      Any damage to the gears?

I wanted to pop back on here to thank you for the outstanding video!
My maintenance turned out perfectly, exactly as illustrated and my bike is much quieter!
So far I’ve only been able to squeeze 3400km out of one of these motors, I’m on my third in a year, fact, so keeping this one in good shape should help.
Honestly I wasn’t touching them until the warranty expired, so now let’s hope this one lasts a little longer.
Each one of these, M620’s have been quiet for the first 800kms, after that they’re beyond noisy, people actually turn around to see that the noise is as I approach.
It’s quick and has tons of torque to pull my teardrop trailer on trips, so I’m not anti m620 or Bafang, but I honest
wish it was a tad quieter.
    Thanks again!

I have M800 and just passed 1k miles. Appears to sound and work as it did the first day. I like to do preventative maintenance but thinking twice about taking it appart if its not really needed. For now just removed the cranks and chain ring and cleaned any dirt around the axle.

Does it say in the manual to replace the grease ? I dont recall seeing anything about it, mine has 3400 miles on it and nothing has happened ,no noisier than it was new and I've not done this.

Does it require to be greased? I have Yamaha PW-X and it does not require any grease or maintenance for life according to the user manual. My Yamaha is 5 years old I has 20000 miles on the odometer and has zero issues with no maintenance.

My bafang ultra is 3 years old and 3400 miles not done anything with it either.
Looking at forums it seems like there is significant risk of damage taking it apart so I'll run it till it gives mr reason to be concerned.
It's as quiet as egen I first rode it.

I'd say listen to the motor. Mine started to make a deep humming like sound after 1 year (8000km). As long as your doesn't seem to have any issues you're fine.

How many hours till the motor needs regreasing? Does it get noisy when needing regreasing?

    • @shredd_cr7
      @shredd_cr7 Před rokem +1

Usually about every 1000km/620mi, or once a year if you do a lot of riding. It's good to get it checked at least once a year just incase. If the motor has not been greased in a while it will begin to get louder, and you may start to hear grinding noises coming from it if the grease is old and running low.
