Which used to be Honda's best ATV you could buy but without any big updates thrown at the Rincon in quite some time now, the Rubicon TRX 520 model lineup has become Honda's flagship and best ATV you can buy going into 2023.

It's going to be interesting to see if it's welcomed more than the last time they changed shades of green on the Recon a few years back.

Just wish Honda would bring back the 400ex or 450er. Or both.

I like that they don't change what works, but I wait to see every year if we are going to get blown away by a 1000 cc version of the Rubicon!
It will probably be over $15k and have a 40mph top speed
While it would have been nice to see some updates, with the market the way it is I'd rather they focus on having some inventory for 23 than trying to make something new that we still can't find.
Valid point there! It doesn't do any good to announce new products if you can't deliver and if we're being honest, they haven't been delivering for quite some time now thanks to this rona mess.

My local dealer has had very few,I mean few atvs this year…..
Oh yeah, it's crazy! I shoot my videos at one of the largest Honda Powersports dealers on the planet and they have had slim picking on ATVs for a long, long time now. We need some hint of normalcy soon, dealers can only survive so long without product to sell and the small shops are really getting the short end of the stick right now.
I know Honda is trying as they're losing money too by not having product out there to sell, which leads people that want to buy a Honda to other manufacturers that may have dealers with actual inventory to buy. Fingers crossed we see some changes in the right direction soon, I still think we're another 1-2 years out from seeing a shift but positive thoughts, positive thoughts lol ;)
Any recent information on a 2023 Honda Recon 250 ?
I am so glad I bought my 2022 Rancher 4x4, foot shift, for $400 less that what I would have paid if I went and bought the 2023 model. My only gripe with the Rancher is that it does not come with LED head lights, which kind of sucks.
a fuel inj. 450x atv would wreck the internet.... and it would be great...
what happened to the lip on the racks? my 2022 rancher has a flat rack on front and rear. things slide off. do some have it and some don't or was it completely removed? I want the old rack back...anyone have any info on this?
Yessir, sadly that's one of the changes to all Rancher models that started for the 2022 model year. Not the brightest of moves in my opinion and I have yet to speak with anyone that can make sense as to why it was done lol! The only thing I can think of is that it was done to simply manufacturing and cut cost down.

Is Honda bringing back the Recon for 2023?
Got a 2023 forman , always been fan of the past older years in green , but have the new black forrest green and love it , sucks that they had a price increase for 2023,

@@HondaProKevin I'm a green shade fan anyways but until seeing one in person , pictures won't do justice , if there is cloud cover or shade , from 30ft you think it was black in color , ...I like new color
Kevin,Since We Don’t Have Any Updates On The 2023 Recon-Do You Think It It Is Possibly Being Updated Or Phased Out For The Upcoming Year?
Logically speaking, yes, you would think that as that's usually the case with either getting updates or being phased out. However, Honda has delayed the Recon's announcements for a few years now when compared to the rest of the ATV lineup and then lumping the Recon, TRX250X and TRX90X in a release at the same time.
Not much longer and I'll get to say more ;)
Honda doesn't even sell new recons or rincons in Canada. Rancher and Foremans only.
I like the rincon
EFI and disc brakes on a 250 Recon and it would be game over. I'd buy 3
If they're going to increase the price they should increase the horsepower and and capabilities of it. They could give it a square Tire and rim set up, make it make it wider. More trail capable, and a better top end speed. On the 600 they could add they could add a 6 speed automatic and a 6 speed manual manual with the foot pedal. And boosted right around 50 horsepower. They would probably sell a lot more.
Guess NONE of it matters if you cant even find the 2022 Deluxe lol. I've looked all over the world it feels like!
I feel that if Honda finally updates the Rincon they will still keep making the dinosaur. I'm going to buy the new can am xmr 700 which is a single thumper and has 50 horsepower. This is the atv Honda should have in the lineup.
This is why I don’t know anyone who has bought a Rincon in the last 12 yrs.
Why are the newer seats so much smaller?
Yeah I hear you there. I dont know why they did that to. I Own a 2012 foreman and i love how big my seat is compared to what they have now. i assume trying to cut corners and save money? =/
I picked up a base model rancher 420 and I am extremely happy! Also glad Honda keeps what works and is proven unlike other manufacturers that are always trying to come up with new things, it might be just me but if it works it works 🤷🏻♂️, a high hp engine is no needed imo if you want something fast get a Polaris or can am but if you want something reliable get a Honda

I think it’s a real shame they have list of people including myself who have put money down on a olive FA6 and then just decide to change the color and increase the price. I’ve been waiting for a year now and still have 6 people in front of me at the dealership I go through. The new green is ugly. If I didn’t need this machine I’d get my money back.

I don't understand how Honda has got the Rubicon which is probably their best selling four wheeler and it has all the bells and whistles and has a real five-speed transmission. Not some automatic or some rubber band transmission bullshit. I do not like an automatic that's why I like the Rubicon. But they build a Rincon which is supposed to be faster but it's got less options than the Rubicon. It makes no sense. Why does a Honda build a 7 or 800 CC Rubicon with 50 or 60 horsepower. They need to because you have other companies like Can-Am which build an Outlander which is scary quick. But Honda is over here just creeping with a granny slow four wheeler

Honda can’t compete anymore. It’s time for new more powerful and efficient atv’s from Honda. They are about to loose a ton of sales to Can Am with the introduction of the new Outlander 500 / 700 2wd and 4wd models. For the money I’ll not be a Honda buyer anymore.
