These guys obviously haven’t watched Neymar play this past season. When mbappe and Messi stay up top and not defend Neymar was the only one on the front three for PSG coming back to defend. And to have 34 g/a in 29 games is pretty impressive. Show some respect to a great player.
ROTFL, fanboy. No, he remained a petulant child and this year it made him even more upset that Mbappe seemed to have the ear of management.
@@therealone21 43 goals 32 assists in the champions league. “He doesn’t show up in big games.” Have to disagree was key in the 2020 champions league knockout runs for psg and in 2021 as well. Easily the best player in PSG when he play
If you watched PSG games, it was actually Neymar who tracked back the most and attempted to defend from the front, in comparison to Messi and Mbappe
And yet, before the injury, has more g a than both
So Neymar is to blame for all failure at PSG? Typical blind criticism from this lot.

So, don't blindly look at trophies either. Neymar isn't to be blamed for psg regardless of trophies the others have. Too much criticism to the extent it has now become hatred .
Neymar said nothing wrong. If you have too many big stars, it often doesn't work out. It's common football knowledge.
Even his first statement is clearly wrong when he claimed that the Galacticos didn't win the CL.
I know this wasnt the biggest focus of the conversation, but I hate how the media often focus on neymar on his lack of tracking back. Out of the three front three, neymar tracked back by far the most. Mbappe and messi barely did - messi has an excuse since he is pretty old, but mbappe at 24 has no excuse at all.
His pressing is useless, he just runs around looking busy. The problem with Neymar is his best position at this moment in this career is an attacking midfielder, but he doesn’t defend like modern attacking mods. Playing him on the wings doesn’t help because he is injury prone and his athleticism has declined. So he drops back deep and tries to dribble though the whole midfield. Instead of advancing the ball quickly.
does neymar scores 40 goals a year on his best year and 19 assists. Is it mbappe job to track back if the manager says he is the fastest on the field and need to be somewhere around the half to be able to do what he does.? do you even know what the strategy of the team is outside of giving an opinion that makes no sense since all of the managers seem to complain about neymar. wasnt this the same complaint they had when he was in barcelona ?
it seems as if you want to ignore the facts and come up with your own nonsensical opinion or do you think all of the managers had it out for neymar? lets see what happens when mbappe leave!!!
one thing we do know is that, france won a world cup because of mbappe and should have won the last one and only lost because fifa wanted to gift messi a world cup.. we also know that brazil will never win anything with neymar so again, mbappe is the problem why brazil failed and not neymar ehh!!
Gift Messi a wc

Neymar gets unfair pressure on him more than the others...even when Messi has bad moments media finds other people to put blame on. Somehow He could work with Suarez and Messi but he cant work with Mbappe and messi and somehow its his fault. The difference in that is mbappe not Neymar. I don't get how Neymar gets ragged on for his tracking back when Messi, CR, and many other front players don't track back and if they do they don't do much. Neymar is actually quite effective tracking back. There are times when PSG can't get the ball up from the defense and he has to go and collect it and bring it up. That person saying he looks busy has eye issues and can't track the skills. Mbappe defense skills are super weak and so is messi compared to Neymar...they take blame for not doing defensive work. As for attitude bullsh!t, are they trying to gaslight people where Mbappe wanted to take over the team and do whatever he wanted to do and that was causing issues? How is it neymar issue? This whole thing is biased and not wanting to blame Messi for anything as usually (the media story with him is that he is good and perfect and CR and everyone else has issues), and since Mbappe is new the marketing product they don't want to hurt him either (not to mention the politics of Europe vs Brazil and the whole Brics situation).
It is not the job of a single player or two three players to win trophies. The whole club, coaching staffs, fans, all the players need to be involved in winning a CL title.
100%. It's about unity. PSG lacked a lot of that. There is a clear disconnect.
Bringing Ronaldo into it as if like a gazzillion managers haven’t won major titles with him. And blaming just Neymar as if both Messi and Mbappe didn’t just stroll around the field.

To carry the three superstar front three, you need best midfielders and defenders behind them.. PSG just didn't had that..
Because they spent all the money in wages on those 3 alone so there's nothing much left within FFP to add.
It's funny they criticize Neymar on trakcing back when he the only one of the 3 that does, and he the only person at time who is capable of the getting ball from the defend and through the midfield. What about the rest of the team? As for croatia match with Brazil Michael Oliver was flying those cards like crazy against Brazil and ignoring the battering people like Antony and raphina were getting down the side...No carding or warning for them...refs can sway a game big time if they over card one side and allow anther to be abusive.
I don’t agree with that because we watched a complete ordinary Barca defense win treble. Every team needs a philosophy or system and until they have that they are going nowhere I waited 4yrs for City to have some sort of philosophy and identity and a way they wanted to play and you can say what you want. No kidding! Remember when Perisic leveled the score, Neymar telling Fred that he needed to Defend? That Loss was not on Neymar. I am convinced that if Ancelotti was managing Brazil and not Tite in that match, he would have had all 11 behind the ball with only a few Minutes remaining.
They also lost cause Michael Oliver (england ref) was the referee. he was flying cards unnecessarily against Brazil, he gave casemiro a card for literally nothing...yet antony and raphina were getting battered down the side and he did NOTHING. SOmething like that can also sway a game if one side is allowed to physically abuse the other team and get away with it. And by now teams know that refs hate Neymar and wont call no matter what they do. Neymar played EXCELLENTLY in that game...the rest of the team wasn't at their peak but they were also struggling with the battering.
If you look at his stats at psg they are fantastic , the only fair criticism I see valid is neymar becoming more and more injured affecting his time on the field but his work every time he was on the pitch was world class
If PSG want to compete and win the champions league it starts with the midfield and players being healthy. Their attack is that of a Ferrari engine but the midfield is supplying regular gas which will never work and make your car breakdown over a period of time
Ferrari is not reliable
If PSG wants to CL then it starts with their mentality that superstars galacticos whatever you want to say can win them they can win them games but without a team aka a team that plays together eats together be happy for one another and cover for their mates on pitch will win them.

PSG's problem isn't MNM or if they track back. It's the collective! The others weren't pulling their weight either. PSG had an assembly of stars on a pitch, instead of a TEAM. Even if the front three didn't track back, the others had to be willing to do the running and cover, and they weren't. So for me, the issue was the team dynamic as a whole.

No matter how elite you are, a tournament that happens once every 4 years, you don't have lots of chances to win the World Cup and he should have the mental strength to bounce back from this defeat. He won't retire from international football at 31, Neymar should pick himself back up, continue to deliver for his country score the goals and he has to show his leadership and character, because he's been the best player for the national team for literally 10 years and is their top scorer of all time, but in recent international tournaments he has come up short and many people have questioned his leadership and ability to carry a team on his shoulders.
Ok, Brazil won Copa America in 2019, that was without him and at the end of his career, we're gonna talk about Neymar not fulfilling his potential because of his poor timed transfer to PSG and despite his incredible scoring record for his national team, he's not done enough, Copa America in 2021 they lost and he was unbelievable for them throughout his tournament and he isn't getting any younger and doesn't have a lot of opportunities left in him to win the big international trophies, there's a Copa America next year and a World Cup in 2026, which could be his last ever chance in winning the World Cup and I hope he delivers for his country had a lot of setbacks and carrying his team to success having that hunger to score goals and win international trophies he has to show it and despite his potential being unfulfilled he has the chance for people to change their narrative on him as a player if he manages to deliver those big trophies in the next 18 months and then cherry on top the World Cup.

I am still waiting on that Ballon d'Or that everyone said Neymar would win at some point. Cristiano and Messi no longer play in Europe now, they also both won 2 Ballon d'Ors in their 30s. Modric and Benzema also won theirs in their 30s. So I do not want to hear that he is too old to do it...he is 31
@@user-mv7kh5sv9z I genuinely believe Neymar so much in him and the hit or miss thing never sat well with me
Neymar just need an injury free season. Then automatically his career will be on track
These guys arent really making sense, Neymar was injured alot of last season, PSG still didnt win the CL
Neymar is spoiled. His father was a construction worker, they were very poor and then ar 14 he became a millionaire when Barcelona bought him. But he is not a bad person, he is kind to his teammates and he runs like no other.
These guys will always find some one to blame for Messi's failures! Before Messi joined PSG, Neymar was already at PSG and the psg project was clearly progressing. PSG reached the final of the champions League in 2019/20 season playing a great brand of football. In 2020/21 season psg eliminated Bayern Munich from the tournament at the quarter final stage and they looked dominant. When Messi joined, everyone thought that psg had become the favourites to win the tournament because of the previous campaigns. However, instead of the team improving after Messi joining, the whole project just fell apart. How can the blame For the collapse go to Neymar and Messi goes away spotless!!🙉🙉
Psg's biggest mistake was sacking Tuchel. He was clearly the coach who had DNA of how PSG should work. If he had been the coach things could have been different.
Jesus, I have never heard so much hate for a player in my life. I mean my goodness. To call Neymar more of a problem than Mbappe is crazy, especially at this point in their careers.

Shaka said Neymar lacks qualities of a Champion yet Neymar has won 2 la liga's, one of which was a Treble with the Champions league. His won 5 ligue one leagues and was top 10 balondor ranking playing for Santos in Brazil. Now, what has Shaka or any of these guys won ? Shaka has 2 appearances in the Champions league yet calling Champions league winner not a champion. Media Bias is bad...
The best psg coach was Tommy tuchel
The main problem was simply that their midfield is not world class
The main problem is the midfield couldn't do all the work as those three wandered around up top and didn't help.
@therealone21 who in there was world class? Even bad form bayern toyed with them for the most part
@therealone21 that's not world class dude.
@@therealone21after Messi left Barca he got exposed for being a system player 6 league goals for supposedly the goat is embarrassing
@@maazasmatmessi won the world cup with slight above average team. what are u on
The lack of success at psg was due to a mediocre midfield and an even poorer defence. Real Madrid could carry BBC because they had Kroos, Modric and Casemiro behind them. In addition, unlike Mbappe and Messi, Bale and Benzema actually worked hard off the ball.
Now about Neymar not doing what he was told, truth is that Cristiano was even worse interms of not playing for the team and outside of scoring, was actually an Inferior footballer. But it worked out fantastically for him because the rest compensated. Bale and Benzema worked hard and left the glory for him.
Totally. That entire Madrid team did all the hard work and creativity to beak down the defence, and create chances for CR7. I remember watching a bit. Marcelo for instance. And all turbojets.
Did he really gave an example of that juve trash team they had with ronaldo not in his prime? I’m not a fan or anything but that’s absurd, I remember him playing extremely well in CL and also no one thought of them as contenders to win it all anyways.
I have never seen a team with players of this calibers in almost every position as PSG fail so miserably, It’s one if not the most failure club and squad in world football history.
Nah you have Real Madrid with the galacticos before
@@Gundal66 RM won in 2002 that makes no sence. We are not talking about winning multiply years which rarely any team did that. PSG didn't win even 1 trophy which makes no sence in comparasion to them.

The ESPN FC panel just purely hates Neymar. the biased analysis had been going on for years.
Amazing how they believe that Neymar didn't track back compared to Mbappe and Messi.
Amazing how they believe that Neymar is to blame for Modric running through PSG mid and defense
These guys are just sounding stupid
This criticism is unfair.
will there ever be a more unfairly criticized player than neymar ??? the man is an elite playmaker, creates opportunites for everybody, finishes above average too... does alot of running, is a spectacle to watch... already won a champions league treble as the top scorer.. stats crazy... yet ppl talk like he hasnt done anything.... his downfall was injuries but thats out of his control...
This guys are just hating
Jesus Christ... I don't think I've seen so much ignorance and bitnerness in my whole life. Mental health only matters for certain players apparently.
The PSG fans keep going hot and cold. If Neymar seriously wants to stay, you've got to keep him. He played great last year.
It was Mbaape who never tracked back
These guys don’t even play a match against the best players in the world. They just sit down on a chair and criticize every player they want. They’re just mad that they couldn’t make it like them so they talk about them. A hater always watches your every move. Hilarious👏🏽
How do you blame Neymar, who missed games, for the entire teams lack of results, what were they doing while he wasn't playing???
funny thing is Neymar and Messi last won the UCL together in 2015. since them neither of them won it, so why is neymar being blamed for Messi scoring 6 goals a season?
Neyma tracks back. Mbappe does not. I'm surprised by how off they are on Neymar. Almost like lazy punditry.
then why didn't they win against Bayern in the UCL since Neymar was not there they should have won but they lost badly atleast Neymar took PSG to UCL finals in 2020 , no Neymar no party for PSG , no player has a vision like him even Messi can't score a goal against Croatia in 6 sec but Neymar did score . I think these people so called professionals criticising Neymar without a reason as if mbappe and messi gave their best , it's not a fault of one player but a whole team , psg attack 🔥 but psg midfield and defence is just a 🤡, analyse and speak about facts , he outscored mbappe and messi and vini jr and etc .... In this season u will not talk about that , such a shame on you espn worst sports media 🤬
Can you really blame Neymar when the defense bottled their leads against teams like Barça, Real Madrid, and other top teams?
5:52 Neymar had just gotten his back broken before that loss to Germany he wasn’t even there but what do we know about young Ney but nothing. utmost respect.
Suarez, neymar and Messi never tracked back and it worked at Barcelona
On paper individually Neymar Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi are each incredible players in their own way as players but the reason why PSG didn't win the champions league or come close to winning it even with a star studded attack was because PSG as a whole weren't strong enough to win the entire competition. MNM spent 2 seasons at PSG together all 3 of them and PSG got knocked out of the last 16 on both occasions didn't even make it to the quarterfinals the last 8, as great as those 3 are, PSG having them on the pitch together made the team imbalanced and there were too many cracks in this PSG team that's why they couldn't get far in the competition. Football is a team sport, we love individuals but you need a team, not a bunch of passengers not doing anything off the ball and in Ligue 1 they'd win the title anyways but playing like that in champions league football not playing as a team, you cannot win the competition. We all saw the way they went out to Real Madrid last year, in that second leg game they were 2 goals up with 30 minutes to go and yet still lost and this wasn't just a Neymar thing when everyone at PSG had no response and they were a team that lacked character, resilience, determination and when the tough gets going there wasn't any leadership or anyone showing up and that's been a problem for many years with this PSG team, a lack of winning mentality and teamwork, the Barcelona Manchester United and Real Madrid collapse in the last 16 doesn't happen overnight, they were a team that are masters of bottling this competition, they have no leaders and lack team spirit just too many passengers.
That PSG team was never a super-team the experiment failed and some of the best teams on paper like the Real Madrid one 20 years ago, with the likes of Zidane Beckham Guti Figo Carlos Cannavarro Brazilian Ronaldo etc, that team never won the champions league. PSG had a team full of superstars like Lionel Messi Kylian Mbappe Neymar and they had a lot of good players Marco Verratti Achraf Hakimi Marquinhos Nuno Mendes Gianluigi Donnarumma etc, they never had a strong bench as well which you need that depth in quality deep in this competition and PSG didn't have it. Look at that second leg against Bayern Munich when PSG had injuries and limited options from the bench, who were Bayern Munich bringing on off the bench Sadio Mane Joao Cancelo Leroy Sane etc, and it was obvious that superstars and spending more money was never gonna win them the champions league and you had a front 3 of that to only win Ligue 1 and even without those 3, they'd still win the French League and the big expectation and goal for PSG was the champions league and they failed big time. PSG another thing was they just didn't know how to properly build a footballing project and they might lose all of them in the same transfer window, Messi is gone, Mbappe could leave, Neymar might be sold and for PSG that could be the best solution going forward dismantling this entire project, start over again and move away from all of these superstars because it didn't work out and they're now focused on the future, young talent, signing up French players, get players who fit the system and move forward and rebuild this team.
Neymar is not respected by anybody Cz he can't earn the respect 😂. Some fools are saying you need to respect Neymar 🤣. Sorry to say respect Neymar for what his enjoying of life doing parties, playing video games and going on vacations not thinking about his fitness 😂🤣. Dude Neymar doesn't deserve respect Cz he doesn't wants to work hard to earn everything and that's the truth.
The Galacticos won the CL in 2002, while it also was a marketing success, generating Madrid well over a billion meanwhile this circus PSG isn't successful in any front. Never mind the fact that this guy doesn't surpass Vini jr in performance over the last few seasons. Frankly he needs to get his facts checked.
They hate him, don't they? 🤣 Here we go again. Leave the guy alone. Leave the guy alone.
rob said the sooner he goes away the better is their chance to win a cl .. yet the only time they got into a final is when neymar was fit and carried them into the final for the first time in their club history .. neymar is the most disrespected player i ever seen he deserves better
"CR7,Benzema, Bale never tracked back"
This narration isnt entirely true. Benzema always tracked back and Bale did a decent job as well. Its always CR7 who didnt track back but it was understandable. Madrid had to move away from Ozil for the same purpose and Case+Modric+Kroos did exceptional defensive job as well
PSG should work collectively there problem isn’t Neymar he is the best player in his generation
I see all the comments being angry at ESPN FC but honestly Neymar hasn't put in the hard work to stay consistent in the team and not injured or out on holiday with his sister lol
This actually annoyed me im not a neymar fan i honestly don't even put him in my top ten of all time but even as messing fan i have to say neymar for the part of the season he was not injured was psg best player and tracked back to make tackles and help the team he was more of a team player than messi and mbappe of the ball , whilst jylian cried the whole season about playing as a striker whilst neymar didn't care where the put him on the pitch as long as he played , neymars attitude isn't always great but he is more a proffesional than kylian . Robo consistently makes stupid analysis just with no facts or stats to back it up .
Neymar literally played out of the world during their run to champions league final. Mbappe choked that finals. Neymar showed up.
The problem of psg is midfield
Then Robbo says it's okay for RBB to not track back because they play "within the system"? He has zero clue what he's talking about. Please take him off the show.
Where is this interview where Poch said this about Messi, Mbappe & Neymar?
Some players I really like and some I don’t. But the amount of players I actively root for to fail, cry and make a fool of themselves I could count on one hand. This guy tops the list. Luckily he’s the gift that keeps on giving
