    For those whose asking it's the same in unreal 5.0.0, I had issues with it and tried all the steps. How I fixed my issues was changing the root component, ticked auto-activate. I used a lake and not an ocean so the rocking won't be as severe. Now I am off to make it driveable.

    Hi. I put a big boat inside the buoyancy class And I want it to move less, not as much as a cube, so in reality big ships move less. What setting can we do this with?

    Great Tutorial! I needed this. I`m wondering if you can make a tutorial for water surface exclusion or the water surface cut-out. Because in my boat, water surface is passing through the boat.

    Can’t get anything to float except a lake body of water under 532 never work with custom body unless I am I use a exampk water map. If it’s something to do with my project, how do I fix it? I’ll try the auto activate. Thanks see if that does it.

    It's not quite perfect though as you can see in the intro video that the boat is bobbing up and down quite convincingly but isn't drifting in the waves at all. Waves should not only push the boat up and down but also push it slightly in the direction of the waves.

    for me it helped to delete everything andstart again when it Wasn't working . Placing the arrows outside the boat like right at the outside of the mesh like the host did helPed me

    the boat is floating over the water in the video. if you lower the boat into the water, the water texture probably passes through the boat.

    thanks for the tutorial. any idea why my boat won't float on the water? it falls to the floor below. something to do with collisions I think, tried playing with settings on both the static mesh and BP but cannot figure it out.
