The 32-20 is not a beginner’s hand loading project. It is a thin walled bottlenecked cartridge and is not very forgiving from the standpoint of the new handloader.
I purchased some .32cal .313 lead SWC(actually measured .314). Loaded a few and they would not chamber in my new Cimarron revolver. I could see where the .313 bulged the case out enough to keep them from chambering. I had some jacketed bullets that measure .311. Loaded one of those and it chambered perfect. Sized the lead bullets to .311 and they chamber fine now. The load data book shows the bullet dia. at .314, but that doesn’t seem to work. Have you ever had an issue like this?
Lo unico que hacen es decir que ya es muy antigua la municion y que no se consigue, a mi me gustaria usarla con su municion origina ya que solo se utiliza con municion de pistola pero tiro por tiro🫤

No sé cuáles son sus leyes sobre su importación, pero es posible que pueda obtener para el fabricante los nombres de los lugares en su país que lo venden. Pruebe con Winchester o Remington para ver si saben quién puede estar vendiéndolo en su área

Just starting to set up to load 32-20 for an old 3 screw Blackhawk. I have a butt load of old Red Dot. Not finding any load data for Red Dot in 32-20. Anyone use it?

Do I need to drill it out with a drill press or will the bullet work as-is. I don't have a drill press.

Trying to find reload data on a 1889 Colt Lighting 32-20
If it is originally a black powder round, no data is necessary. Load with black power, you guessed it, to the top. Data is only for smokless powder.

You could always check the burn rate and density to find a load that would be clouse to something published then work up to it.
I have a black powder gun like to use smokeless powder. Any safe load you can recommend? Out to 200 yards?
Not without know what gun it is.
If it's made for black powder, smokeless will make it explode. Simply don't do it

How hot do you load them? Or do you just do cowboy loads?
700-800 is all you really need for small game hunting and thats still up to 2x the powder of a 22lr
@@RussellHoughton Does it have any recoil at that velocity? And also, do you know what the "normal" velocity of a 32-20 should be?
@@HelloWorld-zg3gs normal velocities around 1000fps for a 100gr bullet. Recoil is just a little more then a 22 stinger.
@@RussellHoughton Is 850 fps for a 115 gr bullet normal? I saw some cowboy action loads with that velocity and wasn't that impressed.

At the time of that video the brass was new or once fired. The gloves help with the sizing wax.
