In this video, a follow-up to the Pokémon Crystal Apocalypse Theory (Terapagos and the Crystal Apocalypse), Lore Keeper delves into the impact of terastalization on Pokémon and the world within the DLCs of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, specifically, The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk. He explores how Terapagos's influence might have spelled doom not only for Paldea but also for Kitakami and Unova. Moreover, he highlights the perilous actions undertaken by Briar at Blueberry Academy, actions even more hazardous than the replication of the Terastal Phenomenon outside of Area Zero.

I have a theory in which multiple Terapagos created Terastal energy and they were able to control it but due to the declining population of Terapagos and with the only remaining Terapagos likely being a baby, it can only moderate it to an extent. After Kieran removes the only remaining Terapagos (since it was directly connected to the Tera Crystals), it's free to cause chaos.

Great video! The only issue is that GameFreak never continue their stories on to the next generation beyond anecdotes or hints for remakes. So far among all the gimmicks since gen 6, Terastalization seems to the best candidate to carry on to the next generation since it deals with concept rooted most in reality itself - Energy conversion, storage and transfer. You can literally do anything fictional and non fictional with that. Its literally a battery for energy itself - regardless of what kind of energy may exist.

The only problem i see with the whole crystal apocalypse hypothisis is that that assumes its malicious which terropogos behavior suggests otherwise, also the crystal tree, your assuming the crystal took over the tree, what could have happened is the tree is using the crystals to stay alive in this area with zero sunlight. It could be less apocalyptic and more symbionic.

I do beleive most of the terastilization come from the cubes and the crystals. cuz i wanna say one of my friends was saying there was supposedly a tera energy outage where tera energy was dissapearing. but i'm pretty sure you've stated that tera orbs convert air into tera energy and then one the pokemon breaks from terastilizing it goes back into the air (kinda like humans inhaling oxygen and exhaling co2 and plants vice versa.)

There were very likely more Terapagos in the cave as the professor mentions there seem to have been many objects in the underdepths. Imo the crystals in Paldea didn't grow on their own, there was still a Terapagos down there, creating more and more crystal as a passive defense mechanism

What bugs me about the imagination theory is they straight up never bothered to address the fact that Heath’s own book said the Suicune and Viridian were drawn completely from imagination. They had never been seen. The fact that they eventually came to exist is extremely suspect in light of that.
Another correction: the reason the Crystal Pool is there is because of the tectonic activity in Area Zero. They spread through the water. The Professor’s writings all but confirm this. There is no way the crystals in the mask were sufficient to spread into the Pool. It’s not a coincidence that both Oni Mountain and Area Zero were both affected by volcanic, tectonic activity.

    • @LoreKeeperVG
      @LoreKeeperVG  Před 3 měsíci

Heath's book has imaginary sketches of fusions, not of Suicune and Virizion. And I've talked about that in my Paradox Pokémon video.
And there's no way that the tectonic activity of Area Zero ends up taking a bunch of crystals from Spain to Japan. And no, the professor's writings don't confirm any of that, nor the water thing lol
As I've said both in this video and in the first part, the crystals expand when they absorb atmospheric energy, that's like the main thing they do. And I didn't say the crystals in the mask did that, I said that the Human could have had more crystals with him that weren't used in the masks crafting. It's much more plausible and fits better with the overall story that the Human brought them from Paldea and they ended up in the lake by some reason, than what you are saying tbh.

It also comes down to the armament issue. Say what you will about pokemon not being realistic or dark enough for this, but each region is basically its own nation. Trainers are it's soldiers and we have obvious military rank parrelles in gym leaders, elite 4, and the champions.
Since gen 6 we saw through gimmicks an arms race. Mega's are arguably the most versatile and easily stolen but arguably give the least boost to the military force of the country. Both Dynamax and Z-moves seem to pull power for the environment, limiting their number of uses or use entirely out of the region... defensive tools rather than offensive. Terastalization followed the same route as the previous 2 generations, but now we have confirmation that the effect can be replicated in other regions and rapidly if needed. That means we now have a military power enhancer that can widely be used and can easily be spread.
We saw some forms of armament spread in gen 4 with the newly created evolution items for gen 2 pokemon. Yes, it was for balancing, but in lore, it is just an attempt to make your potential forces stronger.

Just saying, i REALLY doubt Terapagos is from space, the Stellar type was named by Sada/Turo and was probably a pun with Tera, since in japanese, the type is named SuTERA, besides, Tera Starstorm is also just a name, which has nothing to do with the original, japanese name, Tera Cluster, besides that move is just shaped like stars, they're bombs made of Tera crystals, about Heath's sketch... That's nothing... Heath has no rights to say that was indeed what he saw, what we know is that he described Terapagos as a planet floating in space, which CLEARLY is not the case. Now one last thing, if you didn't know Terapagos lived in ancient Paldea in numerous numbers, before seismic shifts brought the species to almost extinction, except for the little one sleeping in Area Zero, but yeah i agree with most of the video, but the "turtle from space" part, that's CLEARLY wrong, thanks for who read this fanboy speaking nonstop, have a good day!

@@LoreKeeperVG lmao to each their own. The game was already spoiled for me when I had to suffer through the poorly optimized performance, no amount of end game story could fix that 😂

@@TrvisXXIII I hate that i agree. The game didnt deserve the Story or world builder of Paldea. one of the better stories and characters held ransom by one of the worst performing and designed games second to SWSH.

Funny how I never encounter a game braking bu on my first playtrough, but in my 4, I had very wroe glitches happening, including the camara angle being fixed
The game was rush and uncompleted, but I love it anyways
Guess it all depends on what people wants.

I was ready to rate it one of my favorite pokémon games. Maybe even my favorite. It was the DLC that ruined it lol

It is, but that doesn't mean it can't have things for everyone. Especially if they're outside the main storyline.
There are many things in Pokémon games that a child won't understand, but you and I do.
