    Thank you Mayor Bass for supporting Metro! In partnership with West Hollywood, please get shovels on the ground and start the K-Line Extension through Mid-City and Fairfax so that West Hollywood/Melrose can connect to the Metro system without having to take the bus!

    @Metro Los Angeles - the prime reason ridership is down (I've read this from other BLOGS and VLOGS) is because once I'm on my train, it takes 35-50% longer to get to my destination via Metro rail versus driving in a car. We were promised a "world class rail system" when the voters gave you 40 years of budget certainty with Prop M (at least $781 Million in additional funding). Please respond here with the facts. Why do Metro light rail cars (and these statistics are from Metro's own documentation) run at an average of 27-35 miles per hour when the cars are rated for 55 to 65 miles per hour? Your dropping fare prices and daily revenue (by implementing a daily price cap) to improve ridership. But you really need to fix the core product. What are the specific plans to increase speed of the trains themselves (I'm not referring to the regional connector).
