- With the ending of all the events of the 22nd Commonwealth Games at city of Birmingham in England, let’s have a look at the country rankings as per the final medals tally/table.
Australia was able to become the overall champion while England & Canada becoming 2nd and 3rd. India was super impressive in the last day to overtake New Zealand and become the 4th. New Zealand had to move down to 5th. Scotland, Nigeria, Malaysia, South Africa, Kenya, Singapore & Jamaica too performed well. Sri Lanka was able to achieve some decent performance & ended up being 31st.

@@Trajan2401 how about, Instead of being a sore looser, just give credit where credit is due. All those athletes worked very hard to get where they are in the podium so have some respect. NZ did do well but so did Australia, hence why they got first.

Hockey and Cricket has stronger teams than India in it, whereas in some other sports like wrestling, India are considered as firm favourites with not much competition.

@@wolfsingsit5603 no doubts on the intensity in shuttle sports . That's exactly the reason I didn't mention the shuttle sports. Because we don't have absolute dominance there. Reason being that although China is not a part of CWG, lot of Chinese origin and migrant Chinese population play for countries like Singapore,Malaysia, Australia, and even England.
And for them, shuttle sports are in their blood.

Common Wealth games are strong in swimming, Field Athletics and cycling. Other sports are about average compared to the Olympics stage. It is good to use as experience for the ones needing it to prep for next level of competition.
It is observed that difference between 3rd and 4th position is approximately 5golds. If only, shooting and archery were there, we would have been in the top three position.
Nevertheless a good effort in the otherwise job and career loving nation. Sports also is coming up.

Canada improved big time from 2018; total medals tally increased from 81 to 92 with the entire increase of 11 medals being gold medals. This despite some elite athletes not participating.
Australia population 25 mil, England 67 mil, Canada 38 mil, India 1 billion and little tiny New Zealand 5 million not bad way to go 🇳🇿🇳🇿

Australia got 25 gold in swimming and all together 67 medal in swimming suppose to be australian swimming team not allowed to take part in this competition because they have world classes swimmer and rest of the participating nations don't have so its not fare competition.

Iran a muslim country having 20 times less population than india, and having too less budget on sports as compared to India, gave better performance than India in last tokyo olympics but they never jumped liked childish minded indian public. As far as Pakistan is concerned, this is policy of our country that we do not set budget for sports and do not have any type of proper board for any type of sports except cricket. This is our private policy and nobody specially no indian has right to criticise our policy of no interest in sports. Just like we Pakistan people having neuclear power, we do not have right to criticise on Canada and Australia that they do not have neuclear power as they have resources to get this power. Most of our athlethes particiapted in this CWG on self finance without coaches and got 2 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals in this situation.
Main difference is education quality... Iranian are more educated than these overproud... Indians , Philippinos and Indonesians are most overproud on Internet ...
