Hit me up with your favorite side dish you serve with Pressure Cooker Pot Roast? And here's another awesome recipe you might like - Instant Pot Chicken Thighs with Creamy Gravy: czcams.com/video/qeh3DBi0Zr0/video.html
Rosemary and garlic mashed potatoes, sautéed cabbage, collard greens, Mac and cheese, roasted asparagus, broccoli or glazed carrots whichever I'm in the mood for. Great job on the roast. I'll be using my pressure cooker for the first time tomorrow for a pot roast and this recipe looks awesome!
Im new to my Instant Pot (Christmas gift) and I started watching a bunch of videos to learn how to use it. Thank you for the videos. Im so going to try this.
Congrats on your new Instant Pot! This pot roast is a great way to get started! Please reach out ot me if you have any questions! I've gotta ask... what are you serving with it? (Obviously I'm a sucker for mashed potatoes!)
I have an old Fagor PC. Haven't used it in years for actual PCing but it's a nice big pot. I'm going to try this tonight. I'll add tomato paste and red wine as is my habit for the slow cooker version. Probably sautee off some of that with the onions and garlic. Gonna go with polenta tonight.
I like to put onions, carrots, potatoes and turnips in with the pot roast to soak up the flavor. And I have use dry soup mix with an broth and wine for more flavorful gravy. But have not done this in my instant Pot.
Neither video nor written recipe say what heat setting to set the Instant Pot after you turn off the saute heat. I'm trying "Slow Cook" since I don't want the meat to get tough, but I don't know if that's right...
Haha! Thamks Jeff! And don't worry... there's more where that came from! :) (Next up is Instant Pot White Chicken chili and should be out within the next couple of days!)
I have not tried your recipes but I can tell you are an amazing cook. I can’t wait to try this pot roast recipe, Nec will be your chicken and dumplings one :-).
WA-LA! That thing was bomb. The 90min cook time and small amount of water/broth.. had me doubting. Most on here say 60min, and 4 cups of water. This turned out great. The best one of all. I've used Pressure Luck's recipe.. Mindful Mom's recipe... this one is way better.
Yay!! I was just going to reply to your other comment to ask you how it turned out! You beat me to it! I'm so glad it worked out!! (And I'm not surprised!)
90min. MOst cooks on here use 60. I'm gonna do it your way tonight, 'cos the others the roast was all right, but not that super shredded type. Also, I didnt watch this and put the roast in there entero, entirely. Didnt saute the onions either. I pulled up this vid after started the roast.

@@Thespicyapron I had a nice Christmas and mellow New Year. ... About what you'd expect from a 62 year old tea toddler. Thanks for asking.
Ain't nothin' wrong with that at all! Glad you had a nice one!
I have a London broil at the moment do you think it will do well in instant pot and if you have any tips on cooking it greatly appreciated?
I personally would sous vide it, but that's just me...
