- Believe it or not, levitating objects aren't just the stuff of science fiction and magic shows. There are actually many different forms of levitation including something called acoustic levitation, which uses powerful sound waves to trap objects in mid-air. WIRED spoke with a physicist at Argonne National Laboratory to find out how acoustic levitation works and what it's used for.

Could it be that some insects vibrate their wings at the frequency that is needed to levitate their bodies off the ground similar to how these beads are floating?
I don't think so, but also I never am able to digest the fact about how the bees uplift their body even when there is a to and fro motion of the wing at the same speed which provides air friction of the same amount in both directions but that lifts the bee up anyway.
actually bees have a hollow spot in thier body that reaches the very frequency this video talks about. See a book called tomorrows energy need not be fuel
Yeah sure but those insects can only hover by vibrating their wings in a vacuum . Or else they would be just flying by pushing the air down n lifting themselves up at the same time like birds and bees.
We need to know the beequency!
That’s aerodynamic levitation.
I guess people who are more interested in acoustic Levitation, there are ancient gigantic structures(temples) in India which used this method to construct temples. Do a little digging you'll understand.

In order to levitate larger objects it takes a combination of frequencies that depends on the scale and the size and mass of the object
the standing wave knows nothing about the object

This was already written in the hindu scriptures in hinduism there was a great significance for sound(vibrations). When the saints, sages meditate their breath drops naturally it can drop to 3 - 6 breaths per minute that is when they can hear infrasonic and ultrasonic sounds they can also feel the vibrations. That is how the hindu scriptures have many things about the universe. Because they can feel the vibrations. Tibetian monks also used very big instruments to levitate objects.that is how the saints and sages levitate with producing a certain frequency of vibration in their body
The levitating part is a myth.
What we could do, however, is build sidewalk structure that produces a levitation effect in an object of the right material, in the form of a hover board. Maybe just some sort of aggregate in the concrete that encoverages reflection of sound or electricity/magnetism. We are just around the corner.
What i want to know is, does the weight of the levitated object transfer. Like, if the transducer is on a scale, and you add the bead, does the scale register the bead or is it blind? If you were doing magnetic levitation the weight would transfer
why would it register on the scale are u dum
All it is, is a high pressure point and a low pressure point holding the object.
Idk, for some reason I feel like the ancient Egyptians and ancients in general definitely knew about this and used it to help them move large objects to build the pyramids and other monuments.

You could use silicon carbide orbs with helium bubbles at the core, combined that with the acoustic levitation, they may just be able to get the entire apparatus to lift. Since helium would be contained within the carbide it could be utilized in blimps with minimal to no leakage.

A very small part of it, yes.
All of reality it based in sound/vibration, I think advanced species do use that to their advantage.

Electromagnetism is the ether equivalent for sound.
If we place the sound levitation system on a scale, turn it on, and then place an object in the spot such that the object floats between the two transducers, does the weight of the object get added to the scale?
GREAT QUESTION!! I was wondering how much the scale would weigh while the machine is turned on vs off, and would it vary depending on frequency
Weight doesn't change at all, you are lifting and object
of course the scale would measure that additional weight.
I’ve seen a bowling ball levitated in one experiment using ultra high frequencies Hutchinson Effects
The effect may be achievable, but careful of elevating the effigy characters called "John Hutchison" or sidekick "Judy Wood".
I see that sound is an energy but I disagree and I think this in a way proves it. I believe that our understanding of sound and gravity has a long way to go.
For sure. The universe is energy, frequency, and vibrations. The fact that gravity is just space bending blows my mind still.
What are you talking about? It's a pressure wave that carries energy. Just because your understanding has a long way to go, doesn't mean there aren't incredibly detailed tomes on the subject of acoustics. This experiment doesn't concern our understanding of gravity at all; a simple force model of gravity is sufficient to make sense of it.

There is growing consensus, that ancient civilizations used specific hymns and chant specific mantras, to create certain frequency to help move objects or perhaps even lift them.
Buddhists monks used acoustic levitation to move boulders centuries ago.
Humans exposed to strong vibrations, unaware.
Your body will die before you levitate with strong frequencies exposure? Is this?
@@gandalf7262 go on...finish the sentence
You need to use manysound wave threads to acheive greater object levitation or containd force
Tibetan Monks, can levitate large rocks - to heavy for humans to physicaly lift - with resonant sound frequencys - at least 20 Monks, with horns, to do that.
Coral Castle, was built by the same means, by only one person. He also deconstructed it, moved it a few miles by truck & reconstructed the Coral Castle, using resonant frequencys to lift & place the 35 ton blocks, on his own. Coral Castle, to my knowledge stands to this day, where it was moved to.
Is video of this available?
Coral castle used a tri pod thing with pulleys lmfao
Seems the key is having 2 sound waves that match the resonate frequency of an object? Are there similarities to the qualities of sound waves and electromagnetic energy?
what would happen hypothetically if every space on earth had 4+1 G consuming your soul?
@@seedplanter7173 my man what
It has really nothing to do with the object. The speakers aren't even aware of the ball or interact with it in any way. They just continue to vibrate and push air molecules around.
The ball just needs to be able to fit comfortably within the wavelength of the sound waves, and be light enough to ride on the high pressure area created at the nodes of the standing wall. Being too small might create difficulties with maintaining stability.
Other uses: Also good for getting rid of dogs in a big area
I've always wondered if ancient civilizations used sound to help move large rocks; would beating the stones rhythmically induce movement along looser gravel?
Yes, it is theoretically possible to use electromagnetic waves for propelling spaceships and vehicles. One concept is the use of electromagnetic propulsion systems, such as electromagnetic propulsion drives or plasma propulsion, which utilize electromagnetic fields to accelerate and propel spacecraft.
The ancient temples in india cut out of huge rocks I believe are made through sound waves cutting through rocks. The ancient believe that creation was driven by sound also is fascinating
What if you built crazy large sound but encapsulate it so you can move objects within that device of insane scale?
The Hadron bass collider
the reason why this is a bad idea to do is because you would need a really big wavelength. you preferably would want the objects lenght to be half that of the wavelength, you also run in to the problem that the sound it would make would deafen you after a certain size. and inorder to produce these sounds you would need a really big "loudspeaker".and the amount of power this thing would need makes it extremly inefficient.
Make a software driver that detects the material and adjusts the resonate frequency based on material and I'm 1000% sure you could build a battery operated hoverboard
Why does mass attract mass?
According to theory, the reason mass is proportional to gravity is because everything with mass emits tiny particles called gravitons. These gravitons are responsible for gravitational attraction.
Why do I feel like this is the begining to a new Era of technology 🤔
Because you're correct, the Age of Aquarius (now) is the age of technology.

Sound impacts the water molecules within our body. All of our senses are but a different type of measurement utility for the calculation of energy around us. The only thing that catches our attention is the speed at which something vibrates ( unless you are looking for peace in presence ) and that is determined by the frequency of information coming in through the senses ( because the speed determines our ability to analyze, judge, and react accordingly, while the vibration determines the potential impact of damage ).
This is why a sensory deprivation tank is useful for healing. The frequency of energy at which the body heals its self isn’t disturbed, and is thus ‘confident’ in raising voltage, while maintaining quality wavelengths that accommodate the physical material matter that it is trying to repair within the body.
In thick atmosphere, sound waves make effective limb gears to levitate elements. In micro gravity, optical energy can do more effective. Both merely need amp power and patterns of attune. An object can also self momentum this way asthe engine. Requires accel motion, then counter potential motion to generate grip tow.
