There is nothing better than marching behind a pipe band ( which I have done on numerous occasions ). It makes you march tall with your chest out and a wee swagger in your step and it makes you awfully proud to be Scottish.

The groom is a Navy Lieutenant (O-3) and equal to an Army of Air Force Captain) and wears two gold stripes. I was a Navy Master Chief Petty Officer - My rating badge was gold and I had eight gold hashmarks when I retired. Of course, any enlisted is junior to any officer but, that was lots of gold up and down my left arm.

Check out the Pipe Bands on St Patrick’s day outside Pollagh Church, Achill Island. 5 bands and two school bands play before Mass and after Mass. Them March 3 miles to the Dookenella Church to repeat all.
The day starts at 6 am and bands return to their own villages in the evening. 🇮🇪💕

Find out where they’re having the Scottish / Irish games and you should be able to find some players there. We have one in Midland/Odessa every year. I think some of them are called Celtic Festivals too. Best of luck to ya.

It appeared to me that the groom had some Army relatives. One that had a chestful of proof that he knew a thing or two.

Came across this via Van Morrison's then Billie Connolly's version (the very best)
However, thought this video of the groom and bride was beautiful and heart warming. A' the best from this Aberdonian
