  • This video is to teach you how to Automatically calculate the number of blocks required to build all the walls in a project in Archicad.
    This is a follow up video to the first one. I had to do this because I overlooked the gaps in hollow blocks the first time.

    Thanks for the knowledge, you are doing well.
    If you applied the formula, Block Volume = (block height size + mortar thickness)×(block length size +mortar thickness)×block width,......mortar is applied at two sides of a block.
    You will have same number of blocks as when you use surface area method.
    So the two method will give you same answer if you apply the formula correctly, whether solid or hollow blocks.
