Akira Nakahara Dynamo Man isn’t too bad as Mega Man, just tedious. Burner Man and Tengu Man are the ones that suck to deal with as Mega Man buster-only.

@SMW TURTLE quest To be fair the SNES was on its deathbed at the time MM&B was released (1998). It would've been a huge waste of cash exporting the game just for it to flop.
Lol I still remember feeling, realizing how absurdly long and arduous all of the final bosses were. And having to somehow beat them all in one clean shot with little to no resources
That is the only time i would say that the game is unfair, but the people complaining about the rest of the game have a certified skill issue

Unpopular Opinion: This is a really fun game (one of the best in the classic series), and Capcom should make a game revisiting this formula, while trying to upgrade the artstyle even more.

You made the bosses look easy. I remember this game being so fucking difficult on the GBA. Not only some of the bosses, but the platforming in later levels is ridiculous as Mega Man.
All because they crushed the screen size to fit on the GBA.
GBA isn't really the best console to play this on.

It was originally meant to be a spinoff, but then _Mega Man 9_ referenced it in its ending (i.e. Rock referencing all of the times Wily has groveled for mercy). So, it's officially canon.

Fun Fact: Megaman's sprite in this game came from the Sega Saturn version of Megaman 8 ;)
In fact, this entire game came to be because Capcom wanted those who didn't own a Sony PlayStation or a Sega Saturn to feel left out that they couldn't experience _Mega Man 8._ So, they reused many assets from it (including two Robot Masters), and voilà, you have _Mega Man & Bass._ The ROM data even refers to it as _"Rockman 8.5."_

@@sebastiann.8088 yeah but when you get to the king robo fight it becomes harder. While mega man gets a platform to stand on that can also block bombs, bass has to do a dash double jump or use treble boost to hit king with wave burner, his weakness. I had more trouble as bass than mega man with that one.

Why didn't this version release in America. It is why the game has a bad reputation.
Because this game dropped in _1998._ By that time, the Super Nintendo has long stopped being sold in America, and the market was primarily focused on the Nintendo 64, Sony PlayStation, and -the Sega Saturn- in a year and a half, the Sega Dreamcast. It would be considered a massive loss to spend the time to translate, market, and produce a game on a system that hadn't had support in years, so it never made it over here.
Also, the GBA port is *one* of the reason why the game has a bad reputation. The game is far more tailored to playing as Forte/Bass, which makes sections with Mega Man ludicrously difficult. Just look at that boss fight with the King Plane, and tell me that's a perfectly reasonable boss fight for someone who doesn't have a double jump.

I think not, but at least gba is far more better smooth framerate unlike wonderswan console, but gba audio maybe worst and not same time but gba the most console handheld a lot games have been produced including remaster from NES and Snes, so some people still play because gba have a lot great games especially sonic series, final fantasy series, mario, summon night series, Doom, the legend of zelda, pokemon, street fighter, king of fighter, castlevania, and etc etc etc.
