I really don't think it's hard to find unique artists nowadays! You just have to search at the right places and you need the time to listen to everything and filter out what you label as "unique" ;)
At the moment artists are very experimental with their stuff and they create unique fantastic songs!
I agree with you to an extent. It's just that these tracks that he's put out are so different to what you normally find on almost all other labels/promoters. I mean, where have you heard a drop like this before? And how many progressive house tracks have the same build up and drop like this (or what ever genre this is :P)?

thats exactly how i perceived it as well. asleep at the beginning of the song and being awoken by the drop or "alarm"

I heard this while at the gym, and I practically dropped the weights rushing to check what artist this was. This reminds me of the deep house tracks that unfortunately don't get much play time these days, at least not in the clubs around Utah. This is great stuff! I have it as my phone's alarm now.
The growling bear sound effect (like someone grouchy being woken up by their alarm) is a very nice touch too. And it was published on my birthday, so a nice birthday present. :)

I really, really like the start of the song.. but I don't like the drop.
Can you even call it a drop? It's something way different IMO.
How is it different?
Compare it to the "drop" of basically every other song. The drop is normally supposed to be exciting an basically full of supersaws or noise fillers, but here what you call the drop is a pretty dark part of the song, giving some other kind of vibes.
Although it does depend on what you define as a drop.

When I hear the term "drop", I normally associate it with this generic EDM melody. I don't think this is a generic melody.
I personally prefer the term "breakdown", but it's pure terminology, so who actually cares?
