Happy Sunday everyone! I'm excited to share the first of my regular Sunday videos. I hope you enjoy getting cosy and having a watch. Please see the video description box for all relevant links. Miranda x
Miranda, When I click to your channel I do nothing else but watch. I do not knit, sew, eat or do crossword puzzles. I just take it all in with a notebook and pen by my side to jot down any books I would like to read from your recommendations. That's how much I enjoy watching you and your videos. Thank you so much. By the way, your hair is beautiful and your sweaters are a perfect choice for you.
I wanted to add, it’s lovely how sweet you are with your Mother. You could teach my daughter a thing or two. It’s wonderful to watch the two of you together.
Hi Miranda! The chocolate brown sweater was a terrific purchase. With your glossy brown hair and the pattern on the sweater that looks like a gorgeous scarf, it's so flattering on you. Your vlogs are so transportive and inclusive. I appreciate the occasional scenery and silence which adds such a beautiful balance to the stories and conversations. Looking forward to watching more. Best wishes for a fantastic year!
Squeeeeee!! So excited for all the lovely new content! 💚 So Cozy, so lovely! Spending a day with Miranda is so relaxing and wholesome 💕🥂 we love to see it!
I enjoy all of your videos, so the more the better! Your new haircut looks great and your mom's too. You have the most amazingly beautiful music and scenery...your content is such a positive place on the internet, and it is much appreciated!
Gosh, thank you for your very generous support, Donna! It is so kind of you, and I really appreciate it! I'm so glad you're excited for the additional content. Hope you're having a lovely weekend ❤️
Just a comment from the States … I thoroughly enjoy your content. In a turbulent world, you are keeping us grounded in the wonderful, small and simple pleasures that make a life rich. Also, I appreciate the elegant and honest manner that you present within your channel. Thank you. Best of luck in 2023 to you and your mother. I look forward to watching more. Barbara Backley (near Chicago, Illinois.)
What a lovely vlog, Miranda! You truly have a gift: you can create such a cosy, relaxing atmosphere and you radiate grace and kindness. You and your mother look so charming with your new hairstyles ! I have picked up seasonal reading only since I started watching your videos and I find it so rewarding, it really adds to the pleasure of reading. I think I’ll buy Willows in Winter, it sounds the perfect choice for a cold, rainy winter evening… and maybe I’ll buy a new jumper too :-)
That's so kind of you to say, Laura! Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos. It's great to have a few of you reading along with me this month - I'm looking forward to The Willows in Winter! ❄️ 💙
When I was a child way back in the 1970’s a teacher told me to know my limitations and play to my strengths. I have lived that my whole life. It’s served me well.
Hello Miranda, what a lovely video. Thank you. I will look up Oliver Burkeman. I like the sound of Help. I am sure you will enjoy the Anne Hepple book. Along with D E Stevenson she is one of my 2 favourite authors. Happy new year!
Hi Miranda! You and Donna look very chic with your new hairstyles! What an inspirational video to help us all through the winter month of January! This entire video encapsulated the enjoyment of the winter season!♥️Once again thank you both so very much for all the input you put into each video! We all very much appreciate it!!xx
The opening scene in the walled garden just reminded me of the Secret Garden....no little robin though. I'm going to check for a copy of Wintercombe at my library seems interesting and found out it is one of a series of four. Happy New Year.
I think the most atmospheric winter book I’ve ever read is Snow by John Banville. It’s set in Ireland about a murder in a huge, freezing old manor house and it will make you feel cold even sitting by a fire!
I am so excited for all the wonderful content to come this year, and regular Sunday videos are going to be such a treat! So much to remark upon. I love your jumpers, the chocolate fair isle in particular. What a perfect winter sweater. Thank you for more book recommendations. I feel I must add The Wolves of Willoughby Chase and Wintercombe to my pile. I’m currently reading The Whalebone Theatre and it reminds me of the Cazalet Chronicles. It’s lovely to see you and your mum treated to fresh hair cuts. I believe Coco Chanel is quoted as saying “A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life.” How apt for the new year! Thank you for such beautiful content, it’s brings much joy xx
This type of video is always a favorite! You mentioned your morning routine briefly and I think that would be a great idea to include in a video. I would love to see a glimpse into your morning routine. Have a wonderful day!
Thank you for bringing your viewers such wonderfully cosy, enjoyable, thoughtful content. You and your lovely mum both look very stylish with your fresh hair do's and that chocolate brown jumper from Toast is beautiful. Looking forward to following your channel again this year, and to the slightly different balance of content. But please take care of yourself too. Guard against burnout! X
The colder tone brown sweater looks especially good on you Miranda and complements your hair and eyes brilliantly! Thank you for the vlog and new content plan, loved the lifestyle elements of your videos before and happy to know it`s gonna be more!
Hi Miranda, you and your mother look so beautiful with your new hair and your jumpers! Wolves of Willloughby Chase was one of my favorites as a girl, and now I can't wait to read it with my daughter! Thanks so much for your cozy vlogs. When I'm going through hard times, they just soothe my soul.
What a wonderful video, thank you so much. Your sweaters are lovely ,the dark brown one especially look’s beautiful on you. Your new haircut looks great and your mom’s too.
Thank you so much for this lovely video a little bit of different things ,especially the toast jumpers ,love them. From beginning to end I feel as if I have a wool blanket around me while I'm watching your two videos. Very welcome if not much going on . Thank you
Hello Miranda, fabulous haircut! And thanks for the Wolfs of Willoughby recommendation; I shall pick that up. So excited about having more content from your, as always, wonderful channel! 💟 Best wishes, Jason
What a fabulous idea to start out every day with a piece of classical music! I love classical music and usually have it in the background as I read or do certain things around the house, but I've never started the day with it. But I will now! I'm taking this opportunity to thank you for the beautiful music you include in some of your videos! Countless times when I finish watching your videos I look up some of that music to listen again in its entirety. I don't always find the specific songs, but it sets me off on a path of discovering new music pieces. So thank you! Both of you ladies look lovely with your new hairdo's, but you both always look lovely anyway. You're both beautiful inside and out and I so enjoy watching your videos, as you've sort of become a relaxing and wonderful part of my life... 🙂
Thank you very much for this lovely winter Sunday video! It was like chatting with a friend! I think Joan Aiken has written a lot of amazing books which are really worth reading again! And we all should listen to more classical music...Have a nice January week and greetings from Germany!
Such a wonderful cozy and comforting vlog, thank you, Miranda. I smiled as you gathered your books because I used that time to gather my notebook and pen to write down all the ones I want to read too. I don’t think I’ve ever closed one of your videos without books to add to my lists. The Wintercombe book especially is gorgeous, as is your Christie edition. But the Year of Wonder and Another Year of Wonder are must haves! The commonplace quote is fantastic and I’m exasperated with myself that I haven’t gotten the book I started several years going again. I meant to do that after your previous video and I haven’t done it yet. Your new sweaters and hairstyle are lovely and the tray of Marmalade! And the winter salad looks delicious, thank you for the link to it as I’m wanting to try it. Donna looks chic and it was wonderful to see her too. Thank you again, Miranda. This vlog has been such a treat💕
What a wonderful way to spend my Sunday morning watching your new video! I love your new sweaters and referencing The Killing. I know exactly what sweater you are talking about...her sweater made me love that show even more. 🤣
Such a lovely vlog, Miranda! I thoroughly enjoyed it 💕 love the knits you bought, especially the chocolate brown one and I’m quite impressed by your reading ambitions for the month 😅 I fly much lower, as I’ve been sick up until yesterday and could not read a single page. I’m currently picking up again the book I was reading before I got sick, one I think you would enjoy. I suppose it could be included in the big Nature Writing family (of which I’ve been a fan since 1999) and, being an Italian novel, it’s been translated in many languages. It’s “The Eight Mountains” by Paolo Cognetti. Next I’m going to read a British book and then a Japanese book ❤ I love January, so I hope you, Donna and everybody here in the community will enjoy a beautiful winter month ❄️❤️
Hello Miranda, you and your mum look so adorable in the new hairdos. The new chocolate jumper brings out the chocolate in your and the pink of your cheeks☺️. Im so happy you will be posting twice a week now. What a treat! I had long added Four thousands weeks to my wishlist on audible, now Ill wait for your thoughts. I have been watching your old vlogs for warmth and coziness in this cold month. Thank you,see you soon❤
I always enjoy your video's , they feel so sophisticated , I also love the beautiful connection you have with your Mom 🙏 and of course the passion for books which I 'inherited' from my Mom too . Great to hear you will share more video's , thank you 🍀. I wish you a beautiful week ahead.
I really enjoyed this longer video , with your daily events along with recipes and books , of course. Thank you for putting out such high quality content. Every video is a joy to watch. PS - you and your mom’s hairdos look nice. ❤
Loved your recommendations! Also really appreciate your seasonal content (and nature footage), it makes me pay attention and live a bit more conciously. Also LOVED the salad idea, I am all for winter salads and I did not know one with raw brussel sprouts. Lastly, thank you for the book (and people) recommendations, some of them definitely spark my attention
You and your Mom's hair looks very nice. A new hair cut to start off a new year. My favorite sweater is the chocolate brown one. The other one is nice also. It always feel good to spend someone else's money. That salad looks so good. I love Brussel Sprouts, but I've never eaten them raw before. I usually cut them in half, put oil on them, salt, pepper, and garlic powder and toss them. Then I pour them on a nonstick pan, spread them out and bake them face down at 350 for about 20 or 30 mins. They are delicious.
Loving the new format that blends bookish and lifestyle content. Beautiful haircuts Donna and Miranda. Reminded me to book an appointment for myself soon 😊
What a lovely video! I really enjoyed seeing the green lawn and new buds at the beginning of the video as we are in deep winter still where I live. I also made marmalade this month and got a jolt of pleasure from holding the jars up to the light to see them "glow". Your new jumpers are beautiful, your salad looked delicious and your reading list delves deeply into the season. What a lovely thing to find on my computer today! Thank you so much.
I just came across your videos and I’m hooked! My love of reading will be greatly expanded now that I’ve subscribed to your CZcams channel! You are a lovely bit of joy and information during this frigid Chicago winter! 💗
Wonderful! So enjoyable to learn about your positive habits, old and new. The chocolate sweater looks fabulous on you. Thanks for sharing so much! Already have a couple of your recommendations queued up with Better World Books, (my favorite used book source). Cheers💫
Happy 2023 Miranda and Donna! What a treat to watch an extra video. I loved your new jumpers and set of stationary. The English countryside is so lovely and cosy during the winter ❤ Thank you for sharing everything with us.
Hi Miranda, I've watched your podcasts for a couple of years now and have enjoyed so many new books and authors recommended by you, including wonderful children's books I read decades ago. Like you I shared a love of books with my mother who was born in Yorkshire. I also share a love of Dorothy L Sayers, Georgette Heyer and many others. And I'm a recent convert to audio books. Thanks for all the fantastic recommendations 😀
Miranda I really enjoyed this video… the music in the background was so relaxing… “Four Thousand Weeks” really caught my attention and made me a little Sad.. because I converted those weeks to years and got “76” years but sadly neither one of my parents made it to 70… (Mom got 28 years /Dad got 68 years) so I’m definitely getting that Book 🥰🥰🥰….Miranda and Donna You Both look beautiful rocking your new hairstyles💕… I love Brussel sprouts but I’ve never eaten them like that… That’s a salad I’m definitely trying… thank you for This Sunday Video..
I think Oliver Burkeman writes so wisely, and I'm really looking forward to reading Four Thousand Weeks too, Kiki! I really recommend his newsletter as well. Thank you so much for your kind words - the salad was so good! It also kept really well in the fridge (we had the rest with some avo toast the next day!). Hope you have a lovely week ahead 🤗
All lovely! This month so far I read Daphne DuMaurier, My cousin Rachel and wow! I may see the movie in the near future. Also, I finished up last night Mike Gayle book "All the lonely people". What a heartwarming book but it was sad. Happy New Year to you and your Mom. I will need to give that salad a try. Looks very yummy.
It is wonderful to have more content from you, Miranda- a good omen for 2023! I also saw your content creator award announcement on your Instagram. Congratulations! It is so very well deserved. Also, a quick thank you from myself, I was very lucky to get a Serious Reader floor lamp as a Christmas present, I asked for it after seeing you discuss it on one of your videos, and I love it- the best present I have received! Thank you for always recommending well made, useful and beautiful things on your channel (and for the incredibly generous discount code for the lamp!) Enjoy all your reading this January ❤📚
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Angela! I'm so happy to hear that you're enjoying your Serious Reader light - I do agree they make such great lamps. Hope you have a lovely year ahead!! xxx
“Sedate Pixie” is such a quirky descriptor… yet oddly compelling ☺️ Lovely sweaters, especially the chocolatey one , really complements your coloring♥️
I love the long Sunday video! Thank you, Miranda, for sharing your life as well as all the great reading recommendations. Wishing you wonderful 2023. You make your viewers' years just that bit more happy.
Love your haircut, looks great! I am going to be reading more classic books that I have on my shelf-North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell and Why Shoot the Butler by Georgette Heyer. Then Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte and Mansfield Park by Jane Austen. Nonfiction read that I am attempting to read is about the Silk Roads by Peter Frankopan. I really love your book and author recommendations; they're always someone that I have never heard of before. I truly envy all the wonderful books that you have read as a child! And I was read to every night. I wish I had read some of the books you did! I truly enjoy your CZcams channel!
I've just spent a lovely early evening catching up with your two most recent postings. I am so excited that you will be posting twice per week and expanding your content. Watching your channel feels like taking a short but restorative and inspirational mini vacation. Having recently finished "The Secret Garden" (a first time read for me), I felt transported back into the novel while watching your opening segment of the walled garden in winter. I hope you'll be able to share more of the garden as the seasons progress. I'm intrigued by " A Year of Wonder" and love the idea of starting the day listening to classical music. A very Happy New Year, Miranda and Donna! (You both look quite stunning with your new haircuts.)💕
A winter vlog was all I needed today, after 5 days of hellish temperatures (40°). And it's not over yet. So, keep them coming, please xD Loved the jumpers, especially the first one. Have a great week. Thank you! xx
I enjoy all of your videos so much and have been reading your book club picks each month as well. This video was a real treat! I loved every minute of it. Thank you!
What a charming vlog, Miranda! I am so excited for your new content. This salad seems delicious, I must try to make it. And both you and your mum look lovely in your new hairstyles, I totally can relate to that "new woman" feeling😆
Lovely video! Do you and your mother ever share a perfume collection? I wish you would do such a video. I liked the one a while ago on new handbags, dresses ... PS I enjoyed the video you did recently of your journey to Bath. The flat was lovely, quite cosy.
Thank you for this lovely vlog. It’s so fun to get a glimpse of your life and be inspired by your reading and thoughtfulness when selecting gifts and recipes. The Wolves was one of my favourites when I was younger so probably time for a reread. 😊
I'm a new subscriber here. I just loved the intro with a favorite song of mine, beautiful scenic walk and Emily Dickinson. A gift to myself this Christmas was a beautiful edition of selected poems of hers. Plus, a simply lovely tea mug🙂📚☕ Happy 2023 and happy reading!
I'm so excited about the new approach in your videos, Miranda! I love your book content, but also enjoy your lifestyle and seasonal content very much. It's so relaxing, cozy, and inspiring. Not to mention that it's fun to armchair travel to Yorkshire. Thanks for all you share with us!
Happy New year Miranda. Love your jumpers and will try the winter salad recipe. I’ve read two books this month so far.Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus and Quite by Claudia Winkleman which was hilarious but full of warmth and humanity. Probably not your usual reads.
Hello Miranda, I enjoyed this video very much. The variety of topics covered make for a very interesting watch. I love seeing your mum too ! I am currently reading Wintering which was recommended by you in a previous video.
I have a problem I go get coffee in my local Waterstones 🥰 and end up buying another book.....I have a leaning tower stock pile of Books 📚📖 I only just discovered your Chanel, think my book addiction about to get worst.
Thank you so much, Miranda, for this wonderful video! I couldn't help but notice as you featured She and Her Cat that the eyes of the adorable cat on the cover were shimmering against the sunlight as you were holding up the book...maybe symbolizing that the stories in the book are told through the point of view of the cat? 😊🐱 Happy New Year to you and Donna from California! 🎉😁
Miranda I’m loving your new video format☺️. Always happy to have even more content from you. You’re looking lovely for the New Year,I know what your mean about having a fresh hairstyle😁. Blessings to you and Donna🤗🤗
I'm so happy about your video plans for this year. Such a delight as always! I got a free trial of Kindle Unlimited this month so have added Wintercombe to my library and am excited for it. Thank you for all your work - I hope 2023 is a magnificent year for your channel!
Hello Miranda and friends… I’m very tempted by Wintercombe and 4.50 from Paddington. So grateful for your gentle spirit and inspirational videos. This year my resolution (for want of a better word) is to create a beautiful life for myself and your videos will definitely help me to do that. You both look beautiful. I’m going to make myself a hair appointment and start the ball rolling. Happy New Year Everyone 🥳🥂🍾🏴🥃🥃🥃
Im still a newby to your videos and vlogs . But am SO glad to have found them because, as a person who reads any book that leads to why were on this planet seeking and searching for truth, all my life, its a welcome change to read novels, poems , essays and such. Ive been gobbling books up like crazy, and it’s delicious!! Thank you SOO VERY much for your vlogs and videos and sharing so much of your time , interest and life, both you and your mom.. its awakened my soul and spirit! Thanks!🌸😊
Hope you enjoy Wintercombe. I loved the quartet & remember reading it when it was published in the 90s. Also enjoyed the Heron quartet, set in the same period. I read a lot of historical fiction back in the day & Pamela Belle's novels really stood out. The love story at the heart of Wintercombe is wonderful. The author then moved into science fiction & then stopped writing altogether. I’m also pleased that you have the original edition, the later paperback covers are not nearly as atmospheric.
I've now started it and am really enjoying it! Yes, my Mum has told me it's a series (I think there are four books in total!). Always happy to discover a good new series! xxx
Thank you for this cosy treat. I am inspired by your new year's resolutions, how they aim to spark the creative flame and feed the soul rather than "fix" something. Your new sweaters are lovely. Those jade earrings pair so beautifully with the green along the collar of the cocoa one. My mom would always exclaim, upon opening a card from my dad, “what a lovely verse!” This became code, which we all adopted when recipients of cards from Dad, for “thank you very much for the enclosed check.” I'm so looking forward to rereading 4:50 from Paddington along with the book club. It was my Dad who first introduced me to Agatha Christie when I was 8 or 9 and had worked my way through all of Nancy Drew. I agree with you about MARPLE. The Christmas story was my favorite, too!
I laughed over the story of your mother's response to cards from your Dad and how it was later adopted by the whole family! That's lovely your Dad introduced you to Agatha Christie and that we concur on our MARPLE favourite!. Thank you so very much too, Pamela, for your very kind and always generous support, I hope you're having a good Sunday! xxx
Lovely to have your virtual company on a wet January in London, Miranda and Donna. Your new haircuts and jumpers are a stylish start to the year. I will dig out my copy of The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, already have 4.50 from Paddington ready for a re-read. For an appropriate January read, and for a first time read, I've chosen Crossed Skis by Carol Carnac, one of the British Library Crime Classics. I was given a Fiona Davis book called The Lions of Fifth Avenue, so will give it a go, too - set in the New York Public Library, so a good bookish treat I'm hoping! Enjoy your Sunday evening and the week ahead x
Hi Miranda, this was such a lovely video. I was delayed in commenting as I had to order the slippers. Loved your jumpers on you. Great to see your mum with you too, both with very glam hairdos. My very senior mother says if one’s hair is cut right, all feels right! The garden pictures, the music choices, the recipe, the stationery and book choices - and well - all of it was absolutely delightful. Well enjoyed, thank you for all your hard work in producing such wonderful videos. 🎀
Hi Miranda. Thank you for your new vlogging videos. I will enjoy them immensely. Your new sweaters are beautiful and look lovely on you. Happy New Year.
Dear Miranda, wishing you and your mum Donna a very Happy New Year! As always, I very much enjoyed watching your video. It was very comforting and cosy to watch. I am recovering from covid at the moment and in need of lots of comfort. It was rather exciting to hear you talk about 'The Wolves of Willowby Chase'. I read a Dutch translation of this lovely book when I was a child in the 60's! When my own children were little in the 90's, I bought them the same book, but in English and we all enjoyed it together. I started to read 'Jane's Country Year ' by Malcolm Saville, which you sent me last year as a give-away. I intended to read one chapter each month. However, I couldn't put it down! Such a little treasure!
I think you will enjoy Wintercombe, I read it many years ago but still have it on the bookshelf along with others by Pamela Belle - I really like her books. The series (The Heron Quartet) by her which begins with The Moon in the Water is also excellent. She and her cat sounds charming and I can hear the Wolves of Willoughby Chase howling at me already. It's lovely to have a Sunday video from you, just the thing for a cold and wet afternoon.
Thanks so much, Karen! I'm really enjoying Wintercombe already, and I think we have all her other books (at least on Kindle) as well so lots more to enjoy by the sound of it.
Happy Sunday everyone! I'm excited to share the first of my regular Sunday videos. I hope you enjoy getting cosy and having a watch. Please see the video description box for all relevant links. Miranda x

Love the jumpers. I kept thinking they were "very British" I live in South Australia and we are never cold enough for such warm jumpers.
Hi Miranda! You and Donna look very chic with your new hairstyles! What an inspirational video to help us all through the winter month of January! This entire video encapsulated the enjoyment of the winter season!♥️Once again thank you both so very much for all the input you put into each video! We all very much appreciate it!!xx

I hope you can find it at your library. I'm enjoying it very much so far! Wishing you all the best for 2023 too!
So nice to see you posting this on a Sunday but it’s applicable to all those days where we crave cozy vibes.
Thank you!

Your new jumpers look beautiful on you. Happy New Year to you both from Wales
Oh the brown sweater is stunning on you! Gorgeous with your skin!
I adore your vlogs 🤗...big hugs to you and your mum you both look fabulous!
Thank you so much! ❤️

Thanks so very much Penny for all your generous and kind words and support that really do mean a lot to me! Wise words too! xxx
The colder tone brown sweater looks especially good on you Miranda and complements your hair and eyes brilliantly!

Thank you so much, Elizabeth! It'll be a lovely one to read with your daughter I'm sure!

Thank you so much for this lovely video a little bit of different things ,especially the toast jumpers ,love them. From beginning to end I feel as if I have a wool blanket around me while I'm watching your two videos. Very welcome if not much going on . Thank you
Nice jumpers, Miranda. The dark chocolate one makes your dark eyes and hair really pop. I love your new haircut too!
Thanks so much, Angela!
Hello Miranda, fabulous haircut! And thanks for the Wolfs of Willoughby recommendation; I shall pick that up. So excited about having more content from your, as always, wonderful channel! 💟 Best wishes, Jason
Thank you so much, Jason! I think you’d really enjoy Joan Aiken 😊
The vlog was great I also enjoyed all of the Xmas. Books from the last video your content is beautiful!

That's lovely to hear! Thank you so much ❤️
Thanks! Miranda you bring so much pleasure thank you. 💕🇨🇦
That’s very kind of you, Vicky! I really appreciate your support! ❤
Thank you very much for this lovely winter Sunday video! It was like chatting with a friend!
I think Joan Aiken has written a lot of amazing books which are really worth reading again!
And we all should listen to more classical music...Have a nice January week and greetings from Germany!
Yes, I too think she's a wonderful writer. Have a great week!
That's so kind of you to say, Sandy! I'm very pleased you find the videos inspiring and useful! xxx
What a wonderful way to spend my Sunday morning watching your new video! I love your new sweaters and referencing The Killing. I know exactly what sweater you are talking about...her sweater made me love that show even more. 🤣
Same here Dana!! True #sweatergoals 😂
I am read Katherine Arden trilogy starting with The Bear and the Nightingale. It’s a great Winter’s tale for winter❤
The chocolate brown jumper is so flattering on you. And I have added Wintercombe to my TBR.
Happy New year Donna and you Miranda! You both look lovely and I’m so excited to see more content! Merci beaucoup. 🙏🏻✨🌟✨✨🌟
Thanks so much, and wishing you a wonderful 2023 in return! ❤️
Thanks so much for the kind comments, Savita!
I always enjoy your video's , they feel so sophisticated , I also love the beautiful connection you have with your Mom 🙏 and of course the passion for books which I 'inherited' from my Mom too . Great to hear you will share more video's , thank you 🍀. I wish you a beautiful week ahead.
Thank you so much! 😊
I really enjoyed this longer video , with your daily events along with recipes and books , of course. Thank you for putting out such high quality content. Every video is a joy to watch.
PS - you and your mom’s hairdos look nice. ❤
Thank you very much, Julie! I'm so glad you enjoyed it ❤️
Love this new format ❤ Your channel is a favorite!
Thank you very much!
I’m so pleased you enjoyed it all!
I loved this vlog! Would love to see more like these ❤
What a lovely mix of books and things! Look forward to every one!
beautiful cold weather new hair books and a healthy lunch 😋 great video have a great week ahead take care ❤️🙋♀️🥰🌺🌻
Loving the new format that blends bookish and lifestyle content. Beautiful haircuts Donna and Miranda. Reminded me to book an appointment for myself soon 😊
Thank you so much! ❤️
Great choice of books.
Thank you! 📚❄️
We have a new storm rolling in tonight and I am going to listen to The Wolves of Willoughby Chase while I paint! Thank you for the salad idea as well.
Sounds perfect! Stay cosy & enjoy!
This was such a lovely vlog. I really like the idea of a winter salade! :)
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Debbie!
I just came across your videos and I’m hooked! My love of reading will be greatly expanded now that I’ve subscribed to your CZcams channel! You are a lovely bit of joy and information during this frigid Chicago winter! 💗
Welcome Donna! I’m so glad you found my channel and are enjoying my videos 😊
What a wonderful video! It's so nice to have you back. The Brussels sprouts salad looks delicious, and I am inspired to create a vegan version!
That sounds great - hope you enjoy it too!
Wonderful! So enjoyable to learn about your positive habits, old and new. The chocolate sweater looks fabulous on you. Thanks for sharing so much! Already have a couple of your recommendations queued up with Better World Books, (my favorite used book source). Cheers💫
Happy Reading and thanks so much for your kind words!
Happy 2023 Miranda and Donna! What a treat to watch an extra video. I loved your new jumpers and set of stationary. The English countryside is so lovely and cosy during the winter ❤ Thank you for sharing everything with us.
Thank you so much!
That brown jumper is gorgeous. Looks great with your hair and skin. Beautiful.
Thank you!
I have a very special jumper made by the designer who made the jumper in The Killing. I bought in the Faroe Islands, where they’re based!
Oh I’ve seen those!! Definitely on the dream list ❤️
Hi Miranda, your new hair looks amazing on you as well as your jumpers. I loved the content of this video.
Thank you so much, Sheila!
Hope you have a lovely year ahead!! xxx
“Sedate Pixie” is such a quirky descriptor… yet oddly compelling ☺️
Lovely sweaters, especially the chocolatey one , really complements your coloring♥️
Yes, such a hilarious term 😂 Must try to give more ‘sedate pixie’ vibe in 2023 🧚♀️
I love the long Sunday video! Thank you, Miranda, for sharing your life as well as all the great reading recommendations. Wishing you wonderful 2023. You make your viewers' years just that bit more happy.
Thank you so much, Katie! That's so kind of you to say!
That's so kind of you to say, Joyce! Thank you!
Thank you so much for all your encouraging and kind comments, Nancy! And all the best for 2023 to you too ❤️
A winter vlog was all I needed today, after 5 days of hellish temperatures (40°). And it's not over yet. So, keep them coming, please xD Loved the jumpers, especially the first one. Have a great week. Thank you! xx
That's so hot, Victoria! Hope it's a bit cooler soon! Enjoy your week!
I enjoy all of your videos so much and have been reading your book club picks each month as well. This video was a real treat! I loved every minute of it. Thank you!
Thanks so much, Kim!
What a charming vlog, Miranda! I am so excited for your new content. This salad seems delicious, I must try to make it. And both you and your mum look lovely in your new hairstyles, I totally can relate to that "new woman" feeling😆
Thank you very much, Aneta😄❤️
Welcome, Maria! I'm so happy you're following along, and wishing you all the best in 2023 too!
That's lovely to hear, Melissa! Thanks so much!
Happy new year to you too, Julia! Sounds like a great start to the reading year!❤️
Love that you are creating more content - it’s such a tonic to sit down and watch. Thank you. X
Happy New Year to you and Donna from California! 🎉😁
Miranda I’m loving your new video format☺️. Always happy to have even more content from you. You’re looking lovely for the New Year,I know what your mean about having a fresh hairstyle😁. Blessings to you and Donna🤗🤗
Thank you so much, Deb! Hope you have a wonderful year ahead 😊
I'm so happy about your video plans for this year. Such a delight as always! I got a free trial of Kindle Unlimited this month so have added Wintercombe to my library and am excited for it. Thank you for all your work - I hope 2023 is a magnificent year for your channel!
Thanks so much, Rae. Wishing you all the best too for 2023!
The darker sweater matches your hair coloring perfectly!!!
The Willows in Winter is wonderful. Thank you for the good advice. Now I want to read the rest of the series.
Thanks!🌸😊
That's so lovely to hear! Thank you very much. I'm delighted you're enjoying my channel!
This was so cozy and lovely!!!📚☕❤
Hope you enjoy Wintercombe. I loved the quartet & remember reading it when it was published in the 90s. Also enjoyed the Heron quartet, set in the same period. I read a lot of historical fiction back in the day & Pamela Belle's novels really stood out. The love story at the heart of Wintercombe is wonderful. The author then moved into science fiction & then stopped writing altogether. I’m also pleased that you have the original edition, the later paperback covers are not nearly as atmospheric.
I’ve started Wintercombe and am already gripped!
Wintercombe is an amazing read! I loved it. So happy you are going to read it. There is a sequel as well.😊
I've now started it and am really enjoying it! Yes, my Mum has told me it's a series (I think there are four books in total!). Always happy to discover a good new series! xxx
The last top you put on, looks lovely on you.
Thanks so much! ❤️
Thank you Lindsey! Hope you have a lovely week ahead too ❤️
Hi Miranda, this was such a lovely video. 🎀
Loved this blog - lots of great suggestions, music and parcels in the mail- thank you Miranda!
Hi Miranda. Thank you for your new vlogging videos. I will enjoy them immensely. Your new sweaters are beautiful and look lovely on you. Happy New Year.
Thanks so much and Happy New Year to you too!
When my own children were little in the
90's, I bought them the same book, but in English and we all enjoyed it together.
I started to read 'Jane's Country Year ' by Malcolm Saville, which you sent me last year as a give-away. I intended to read one chapter each month. However, I couldn't put it down! Such a little treasure!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I’m so glad you’re enjoying Jane’s Country Year so much 😊
I think you will enjoy Wintercombe, I read it many years ago but still have it on the bookshelf along with others by Pamela Belle - I really like her books.
