  • In just 7 days, TTC workers could walk off the job, leaving transit users scrambling to find other options. CP24's Melissa Duggan is at the Wilson TTC complex this morning where union members are conducting a "practice strike."

      That may be so, but I will do what I can to stick close to home, or just not walk very far from the condo building, which I live, during any strike because one of TTC workers will mean no such service. No strike is likely to affect me anywhere near as much, for years to come, as a TTC one should such a strike occur.

    I think they have rights to strike whenever, but most importantly is,vthe city needs take different actions because toronto become a huge population. So soon or later ttc will no sufficient, the city most autoraize a new different bus transit service.

      No we paid allot of property tax for ttc and the system is gone falling apart giving ttc what they want will not help anyone

      They are already overpaid, I was in the ATU and worked for the TTC for 4 years. It is filled with lazy and entitled people making six figures to collect change or drive a subway. Use the the notwithstanding clause and force them work

    If you've travelled this world at all, you will know that the TTC is the absolute worst transit system of any large city. Not in recent years, but pretty much of all time. European and Asian large metropolises have transit systems that make the TTC look like a developing country. Even large American cities at least have transit systems that work and where the workers are not in power, the people are.

      Like all public sectors they milk taxpayers whom get less than half for doing nothing....these sectors need audits to verify work is being done and if not revamp and hire new candidates

Or how about you spend your money and buy them home if you are so concerned about it, because TTC employees are paying tons of money out of their monthly pay cheques doing shitty job none of you would willing to do and dealing with idiots on and off the road 24/7.

      The supreme court recently struck that down, they're no longer considered an essential service so they now have right to strike
