Note to self: Excellent video to watch when you need a quick and easy to follow explanation of thermistors.

In the automotive industry, power windows will experience over-current conditions once fully down or up, while the switch was held. The NTC thermistor was mechanically attached to the metal body of the motors case to dissipate heat. Once current is removed, the window would work again. However, it has been common practice to protect the wiring using a thermal re-setting circuit breaker at the fuse box in series with it. Over decades, I have found the motor circuit open and the thermistor was defective and once replaced, it worked fine. Over time, the thermistor was capture inside the insulated motor end cap, but simple metal tabs could be bent to remove and access. Good direct to the point info!

Not sure about that info, but phones store user name / password in memory. Same with a PC. I would look in general, about, history then look for password list. New tried but most sites have a forgot password feature, ask for email, text or call. Each are different. Best of luck I don’t have any social media as 12k techs in 7 states know me from 4 hrs tech seminars. No sleep as they all have questions, that’s one reason I won’t do videos.

What would the smaller type thermister ohm reading be.How would you test it .The one I am testing is from the bottom of a metal plate of a pressure cooker.I think its bad.You didnt test the smaller one. Thanks

    really useful information thank you
Can you tell what multimeter is that?
is that spindle for a cnc machine?

+Willie torres Thanks, the scope meter is a Uni-T 81B, one of the first somewhat affordable scope meters, in certain situations it is very useful.
You are correct, it is indeed a spindle for a small desktop CNC.
