That car was on rails. With some runs you can see the front of the car push out a bit on exit toward the wall, especially coming out of turn 2. But Newgarden's car was locked in. He had room to spare.
Very smooth run.
So smooth. Total commitment. Sooooo fast. Brilliant.

Arie was 236mph at the line in 1996. I think they go by how fast they going general. Conor was 243mph on Carb Day back in 2022.

I wonder how they weigh the entries, is it car and driver or just the cars?If it`s just the car ,two cups of coffee and a dump will give you that extra 1 mile an hour.
There's a ballast. As long as your under 185 pounds (84 kg) then you're the same weight as all the other drivers.

With just a little bit of work, these cars would be capable of so much more. I'd like to see how different the racing would be if you actually had to work the throttle instead of just riding around flat out.

I should like Newgarden, fellow Tennessean clean cut American kid, but there's always been something I didn't like about him and the cheating scandal and the way he handled it making it even worse, seals the deal. He'll do anything to win, including cheat and him and McLaughlin should have been suspended for the season.
