The design of Optimus appears superior to that of Boston, especially when comparing Optimus gen 2's impressive appearance to Boston's unattractive design. If Boston were to be present in households, it might inspire numerous robot horror movies due to its frightening appearance. On the other hand, Optimus with its appealing design would likely be adored by children, leading to the creation of family-friendly movies featuring robots. This is because, during their childhood, they would have had a robot that did not resemble a bulky refrigerator on legs.

This looks very impressive in the demo's, but you have to realise that, if you were to move those steps or ramps just 6 inches in either direction, that jogging robot would just be a machime lying on the floor with no idea what to do next. We're many years from any of this being of any practical use, to the ordinary person in the street. I doubt it'll be available in my own lifetime.

I can understand why u think this way. After all Musk is a part and big player of the existing money system currently in place running our human evolution and civilizations not benefitting us as a species but mainly individuals. But This technology and its development hes the potentional and can set us free...just like fusion energy will, its hard to imagine when so many countries are struggling. all this ai,technology or any other development can go both ways... lets hope we as a species fiend the awareness to not mess it up this Time, with a clear vision of positive development for society in mind and no selfish goals.

Tesla is designing them for actual work though, Boston dynamics seems to just be a fun project and no end goal.
Also Boston Dynamics hasn't moved away from hydrolics which are loud and get in the way with tubes lol
