I love that play.if you bring your running back up to the line you can use him to manipulate the line backers to free your other receivers or send him or leave him to block.i like using him on a delayed route so he can slow the rush on the edge and most times the coverage is gone so he's all alone
One of my favorite routes for sure. Any play with the corner post and a man to the right or left will work like this as long as you have them on the hash… if their not on the hash send the man on the fly out wide

Only works in man defense but the 3 man deep with the corner in a flats zone stop this all day but you gotta manually put your two corners in the flat zone
Should be zig dig then right side cuz the right side is quick read that you progress to left to right (that in route is nasty on 3&7s btw if thrown right)

A fade is typically only used in the red zone (especially goal line to the 5 yard line) as you start to run straight but then angle it. think of it like this a fade is when you run a streak but fade your route to the outside/corner of the end zone). Hence the word fade. This is 100% the go to play to throw to your #1 receiver when the defense is in man coverage and when you’re on the goal line to the 5 yard line. You’ll see teams at every level from high school, college to the NFL check to this under these conditions. Plenty of videos about it on CZcams. There really is no difference because you can’t even audible to a fade when you’re at this yard line in madden. The dude who made the video has no clue what he’s talking about. When you’re on the goal line to the 5 yard line the audible to streak will change to a fade. So instead of a straight line You’ll see it’s like a swerving line pointed to the outside.

Fades and streaks are essentially the same thing, only difference is how you run the route, with a streak you run straight up field you’re entire goal is just to get deep and beat your man deep, with a fade you get vertical and “fade” into the sideline or away from the defender toward the outside. this helps create separation where your QB can drop it over the DB or put it on your back shoulder if the DB is covering the fade from overtop. Fade routes arent just redzone routes, that’s specifically called a goal line fade and it’s not that great of a route unless your receiver is Calvin Johnson.
This only works if all your receivers can run any route combinations. I play with Green Bay. The receivers can’t run every route and Love is trash in the game. It’s frustrating af when you can’t scheme every play to beat every coverage. Picking a stock play and modifying it is hard without superstar talent. This is were madden fails. They made it more about abilities than real football.
Most Madden players have the progression backwards. Look at the safeties to see if they leave a deep play open and if its not there then you go to the higher percentage plays underneath. Why is this such a hard concept for CZcamsrs.
Your underneath routes are open early and your deep routes are open later. Especially with a zig route vs man coverage, you HAVE to hit him out of the break. You can't go through all your other reads and then come back to the zig because at that point he'll be covered.
U can stop this play wit a man blitz if u play wit da bills, eagles, or 49ers... u have to blitz so that the play don't have time to develop and User the slot dB or play the running back... play dead

If you throw the dig throw it on the break so you can catch and run not after where they might stop and lose momentum
